Luxury self catering holiday in St Ives, Cornwall

This chic and contemporary self-catering apartment in the heart of St Ives, Cornwall has stunning balcony views of Porthmeor beach and the sea. Ideally situated in the fashionable old town area, it’s an ideal base for couples or a small family whether you are staying for a week or just a short break away.

The apartment is one of a pair, arranged on the top two floors of Seawall Court and located in a courtyard from where the sandy beach is just moments away down a slipway. On one floor there’s a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a twin bedroom and a family bathroom and a large spiral staircase leading up to the living/dining room and the kitchen.

Stairs from the ground floor lead up to a second floor landing and the front door of the apartment. An entrance lobby leads to a hallway with access to the bedrooms and bathrooms and a spiral staircase leading to the third floor kitchen and living/dining room.

Master bedroom: A large light and airy room with stunning uninterrupted sea views with patio doors to the balcony. There’s a double bed, with bedside tables, chest of drawers, built-in wardrobe, small flat-screen TV. There are two armchairs and a coffee table from which to enjoy the lovely views from the inside, and a balcony table with two chairs outside.

En-suite bathroom: There’s a bath with a hand-held shower attachment and hook to secure it on the wall, w.c. and hand basin.

Bedroom 2: A light and airy twin bedroom with bedside tables, a chest of drawers, and a built-in wardrobe.

Family bathroom: With a bath and hand-held shower attachment (with hook on the wall), w.c. and hand basin.

A spiral staircase leads up to the top floor where a landing gives access to the kitchen and living/dining room:

Living/dining room: With stunning views of the beach this room has a corner sofa, modern leather easy chair, a glass round table with four upholstered chairs, a coffee table and a flat screen TV and DVD player.

Kitchen: A compact room with an electric hob and oven with an extractor fan, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine and a microwave.

This chic self-catering holiday apartment is ideally located on Porthmeor beach in the heart of St Ives in Cornwall, home of the Tate Gallery and next to ‘The Island’ peninsula, where a climb up the hill to the little chapel affords lovely views of Porthmeor and Porthgwidden beaches and out to sea. Porthmeor beach is very popular with surfers, with a surf school and café on the edge of the beach.

St Ives is a picturesque Cornish seaside town, famous for its artistic links and breathtaking setting and was named the ‘Best seaside town’ by The Guardian in 2007. The Tate St Ives and Barbara Hepworth sculpture museum are located here and the town has many popular shops and restaurants.

Getting here: St Ives railway station is linked to the London Paddington to Penzance main route. Newquay International Airport is 39 miles away and currently offers two flights a day from London Stansted airport, with car hire available from the airport. Parking is at a premium in St Ives so we’d suggest parking at one of the large council car parks where a weekly tariff is charged.

There are many local attractions in the area, both in the town and surrounding area in the beautiful Cornish countryside. Why not take a trip towards Lands End, stopping to visit the dramatic Minack Theatre which is set in the cliffside with panoramic views of the sea, or visit the pub on the harbour in the picturesque village of Mousehole. Further afield, there’s The Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, and St Michael’s Mount to name but a few of the sights!
