The property

This wonderful, detached holiday home, Church Farm, is set in Ten Mile Bank on the grounds of a working farm, just a short distance from the River Great Ouse's rushing waters, a truly ideal location for any group celebration in Norfolk thanks to its rural setting and charming yet cosy décor. Follow the winding country roads to this lovely four-bedroom home, then park in one of the designated off-road parking spaces before entering to start the festivities. As you step into the hallway, take off your jackets and shoes before relaxing for a peaceful moment in front of the television in the inviting sitting room, whilst a comfortable armchair provides a great area to disappear into the pages of a good book. Move through the home to the open-plan kitchen/diner when tummies start growling, which is kitted-out with a beautiful assortment of utilities likely to excite any aspiring chef, including a dishwasher so there is no time lost doing the washing up. Enjoy a romantic dinner for two at the breakfast bar or gather with your loved ones in the living/dining area to share a delicious supper and talk about the day's events. Watch the West Norfolk Rowing Club glide along the scenic waterways as you take a morning stroll along the banks of the River Great Ouse, with the Welney Wetland Centre sure to draw birdwatchers and wildlife aficionados alike. A supermarket, a wide range of restaurants, a fascinating local history museum, and other local facilities can all be found in the centre of Downham Market. For those wishing to visit the capital, Littleport also has a train station with direct services to London departing regularly. Littleport is the largest village in East Cambridgeshire and is set on the banks of the River Ouse, approximately 6 miles north of Ely and 6 miles south-east of Welney. The historic village of Littleport has a range of amenities including pubs, shops and a leisure centre. The area surrounding Littleport is low lying and is home to the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) reserve in the Ouse Washes, the winter home of thousands of swans and ducks from northern Europe and the Arctic. Also close by is the RSPB reserve at Ouse Washes which has walks across the wet grasslands, and the historic city of Ely with its museums and Oliver Cromwell's house is just a short drive away. The village of Littleport is a wonderful base for a holiday exploring Cambridgeshire.
