“Spacious comfortable and clean bungalow with off road parking although the drive is rather steep and visibility when pulling out is limited.”

... lovely secure garden for the dog ...only issue was the microwave which was rusty inside and out with paint peeling off..definitely a health and safety issue! overall we had a fantastic week as the property is central to lots of places to visit ..... on our penultimate day we came back to find that there was a for sale board erected in the garden! ...so maybe we won’t be able to return here again ?

It's was all that we wanted a few little faults 1 the shower in bath room cold then scolding could not regulate so not safe to use 2 the mattress in en suite room needs new one These didn't spoil our stay but needs to be addressed Every this else was brilliant

“This is a lovely comfotable, clean, spacious bungalow with plenty of parking and a well equiped kitchen although we ate out except for breakfast.”

It is in a great location for exploring the broads and the coast. The only issue we had was with the temperature of the showers. The shower in the en-suite ran hot and cold whilst the shower in the main bath room was very hot. But this would not put us off visiting again or recomending this property.

“After reading previous reviews we had serious reservations about this holiday home.”

They were totally unfounded as any issues had obviously been addressed by the owner. This is a lovely spacious bungalow, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen - though we didn’t actually do any cooking there. Ample parking at the front of the property. There was a welcome pack which was a lovely touch. If you have a dog with you Winterton on Sea is only a 15 minute drive away and has miles of dunes and a brilliant beach where they can run free. Parking right next to the dunes and beach. We would say be aware of the double circular shape of the shower tray, I took a step back and nearly fell but that was me not paying attention.

“The property is in a lovely area and is laid out well.”

Parking is brilliant plenty of room. Nice little welcome pack. However there were a few issues. The outside of the house was very dirty windows didn't look as though they had been cleaned for months therefore cobwebs and debris all on the sills and windows. The patio was covered in plantation which again hadn't been swept and therefore we had to clean before we could sit out. Lots of weeds that made garden look very untidy and could easily have been sorted. Pictures are mis-representation of how it actually is. The bathroom blind definitely needs changing as ver mouldy. Bathroom needs an update sink was loose on the wall. Beware of the flies they are continuous. Generally needs an update and pictures updated. Would have been nice to have a broom available.

“Although in-perfect setting for area which we know well We were on holiday with my mum who is disabled.”

.....she could not get into garden if we were not around as there should have been rail as step rather a drop Overall the place lacked many items no towel rail in bathroom and a roller blind so full of mould it should have been in bin..... Kitchen basic and TV awful on that wall especially when lights were on Definitely not home from home .....if you use cleaners check them out and the condition of the properties you rent out for the payment made not up to standard

I wasn't going to leave a review because others before had not said anything but after reading the last 2 reviews I feel I would like to back this up Yes the outside area front and back were unkempt garden in need of good tidy up We didnt sit out for that reason As previously said bathroom needs tlc Bedroom carpet old and not clean Main bedroom curtains dirty on edges It was the most expensive place we have stayed but had everything we wanted but shame owners have let standards slip

“It is not suitable for senior dogs, had to get booties for her as floor was very slippery.”

Could feel the springs in the mattresses and we had to sleep with duvet underneath us. Not many places to walk dogs. No choice of bedding only very thick duvet. Duvet Very hot when weather is hot.

“I found the property very well equipped, comfortable and spacious.”

All local shops are within 2 to 5 miles as well as cafes and restaurants. The beach is about 5 miles and is super for the children and seems to be very clean. The dunes are great place to run your dog but we were warned that there are adders around so be careful. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. We had a super holiday.

“Really enjoyed our time in the Cottage.”

The Cottage was very well appointed. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. The kitchen was superbly equipped and easy to use. The Owner was very responsive to a Wifi problem and could not have been more helpful. Location was great for exploring the area and we would definitely recommend the Cottage and be happy to stay again

“Lyndenhurst is a lovely bungalow in a quiet setting which is ideal for exploring the broads.”

Inside was spacious and the overall cleanliness was good but I felt the kitchen let it down as the oven and fridge seemed to have been overlooked for quite sometime and the sink just seemed to have had a squirt of bleach around it with a wet dishcloth left for us to use. It also lacked the usual facilities for guests to use such as dvds, books and games for children.

We paid £1014 this year and the same week next year is £1587. However nice it is we will not pay an almost 60% increase for greed . Fir this amount it should have better facilities , a more up to date bathroom and tv in the bedrooms . It’s such a shame but we have now booked elsewhere

The only thing I would disagree with is that it is far more than a 20 minute walk to the local pub/shop It is a lovely spacious holiday home, it was lovely to have the heating on when we arrived, the welcome pack including a bottle of wine was very much appreciated I would recommend this to others but it is a much further walk to amenities

It had everything we needed. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise and our 20 month old grandson absolutely loved the books on the book shelve, he shared them around our group many times. We hope to visit the bungalow again, hopefully during the summer.

“What a great holiday home on a very quiet road but only few miles from the coast.”

Modern, Sparkling clean, fully equipped with good quality crockery, cutlery and glassware etc., spacious rooms but still cosy on chilly winter days. Full size fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Comfortable beds with lovely bed linen. Fully enclosed garden just perfect for our dog to roam in without our having to worry about him. A real home from home which we would highly recommend.

Potter Heigham is a pretty village resting within close reach of the River Thurne in the county of Norfolk, set just a few miles away from the glorious coastline. This large village is considered as a major boating centre on the Norflock Broads with the medieval bridge giving its visitors access to the Upper Thurne, Hickling Broad and Horsey Mere.
