“I can only echo others - fantastic house and host!”

Spotless. Everything you could possibly need to enjoy your hols - dog dishes, beach towels, towels for dirty dogs (always take my own but what a good idea) outside tap with hosepipe if needed, Netflix, a few dvds and so much more. Honestly above and beyond my expectations. Comfortable, warm and cosy and set in a very quiet location. Lovely welcome pack for humans and dog, best I've ever received. Large, secure, private, sunny garden with outside light. Plenty of seating with cushions on the patios and lovely woods at bottom of garden. Loads of information about local walks etc. I had no cause to contact host during stay but I was 100% sure they would help if I needed it. Great location for exploring the wonderful area. Loved Old Hunstanton beach and the fantastic walks at Holkham Hall. Could not fault a single aspect of this holiday. Perfect house, perfect host, perfect location.

Great secure garden for our dog, in a nice quiet area -pub and shops about a mile away. Loved the smart tv with Netflix etc for evenings in. Excellent communication from Janet, the owner, and from Sykes cottages. Driving distance to some wonderful beaches. All in all,a lovely break and I would not hesitate to recommend, thanks.

Beds were very comfortable with lovely cosy bedding. Lovely thoughtful welcome items including a bucket and spade for our baby and treats for the dog!! The owners were also lovely and thoughtful, offered to bring around a paddling pool in the heat and gave advice regarding seal viewing trips. Lovely setting, close to several beautiful beaches and attractions suitable for babies and dogs. The best holiday house we've stayed in to date. Hope to go back sometime.

“The cottage was perfect and it made our holiday extra special as it was so homely.”

It was very clean and comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. We loved Dersingham too as it was close to everything including two pubs, a lovely coffee shop and garden centre, a newsagents; the shop didn't permit dogs inside but the lady told me to ask her and she brought my newspaper to the door. I walked my dog locally and found several lovely places to go. My favourite walk was into nearby woodland. Everyone I met chatted and said "Good morning". We had a lovely time at Sandringham which is within walking distance. We had a wonderful lunch at The Ancient Mariner Inn in Old Hunstanton. As we are both in our seventys, the only thing which we would have liked was grab handles in the showers.

“Clean and comfortable house decorated to a high standard, it’s very well equipped, the beds are extremely comfortable and the showers are excellent.”

The garden is completely secure for the dogs and the baby gates on the kitchen doors were very helpful for controlling the dogs. It’s in a very quiet road, Dersingham is a bigger village than we expected and had the shops, pubs and services we needed, Sandringham is very close and we visited Old Hunstanton Beach 3 times it’s about a 15 minute drive. Very good and easy communications with Janet. We would love to return.

“Exceptionally well presented holiday home in a quiet location, yet within easy striking distances of facilities both in the village and further afield.”

Very comfortable and a proper home from home with every possible thing you could need supplied. Great garden. Big enough to keep dogs and children happy with the added backdrop of private woods beyond the fence lending beautiful tree canopy and bird life to the outlook. Good walks from the door of the holiday home and a choice of dog friendly beaches within 20 minutes, our favourite being Old Hunstanton, where a visit to the Beach Cafe is a must (go down ramp from lighthouse car park onto beach and turn right. The next beach entrance leads up to the cafe and the RNLI lifeboat station, good range of food, proper portions and dog friendly). Turning left from the ramp you can walk from Old Hunstanton into Hunstanton town with the glorious striped cliffs to your left, and when you have finished checking out the town return by the beach again or along the cliff top walk, which is also very pleasant. We have been to Norfolk several times and have always enjoyed it, but this house was one of the best we have ever stayed in,

Must tell you about Eric's fish and chip restaurant up the coast at Thornham, excellent. Got to recommend a visit to the Sandringham Estate, need to book in advance. Will definitely be going back to Copper Beeches.

“We just had a 2-week stay at Copper Beeches - 4 adults.”

Being local to this area, we know it is perfectly placed to visit Heacham, Hunstanton, Sandringham and surrounding places. As we had bookings either side of our stay, the hosts were very amicable and friendly which is always nice. By far, this is up there with our favourite places to stay. As soon as you walk in through the door you are met with a lovely, 'clean' fragrance. The holiday home is very spacious with ample bed room of a very high standard, 7 people could comfortably sleep here; the beds were lovely, as were the chairs, perfect 'chilling' places. The garden is large and would be lovely to sit in during the summer months. Perfectly pooch safe. To have a downstairs bath/shower and WC as well as an upstairs shower and WC is essential with a few staying. Another bonus, were the thoughtful touches of dog and human treats as well as that essential milk for a nice cuppa when you arrive. There is ample parking for two large cars on the drive. We did not find anything not to like and will be back next year for another winter stay. I personally spend most of the year at my caravan on one level due to knee issues, but I managed the stairs here better than most places. Just a 15 minute drive either way to Kings Lynn or Hunstanton (Sunny Hunny) a perfect seaside town. A couple of miles from the Sandringham estate, which was occupied on the second weekend, we heard the 'shooting'! To the rear of the property and within a ten-minute walk is a woodland where you will spot deer.

Snacks/drinks and milk in fridge, Janet greeted us on arrival and ran through heating/water/bins etc. Very quiet location, lovely and dark at night so great for relaxing evenings in. Lovely village with local amenities (great sandwich and coffee at Thaxters coffee shop connected to garden centre and Tropics Fish Bar had options for vegan/veggie, wide selection of takeaway food). Access to various beaches (liked Heacham for a bracing walk and kids enjoyed arcades and beach at Hunstanton).

“Can't recommend this property enough.”

One of the nicest dog friendly properties we have stayed in and we have stayed in quite a few. Immaculately clean and fresh decor throughout. The furnishings and kitchen goods were of good quality unlike a lot of the holiday properties. Some lovely goodies were waiting for us and our dog upon arrival. We chose Copper Beeches because of the garden of Alfie and we weren't disappointed. The garden was totally secure, which is essential for us, with a high 6ft fence all round. A nice surprise was the wood at the bottom of the garden with the access just along the road, so handy if you wanted to exercise your dog without having to drive anywhere. A couple of food stores, a paper shop, garden centre with coffee shop, a fish and chip shop not too far away and Sandringham only 1 1/2 miles. The day we returned home we immediately booked 2 more holidays there! Mike, Judi and Alfie.

There really is nothing we could fault. It was exceptionally clean and so well equipped. The owners really have provided everything. They even have a book that you can write any maintenance issues in and they take action on them. The garden was perfect for our dogs as it is completely enclosed. It had plenty of seating and we were lucky enough to have good weather so were able to spend time enjoying the peace and quiet. At the back of the garden is woodland so it is private and quiet with lots of birds. It is very close to Sandringham which is well worth a visit and is close to beaches. We thought it was perfect.

Being greeted at the door, walked around and shown where to find the instruction manuals by Janet was a lovely touch, as was the bottle of wine and biscuits, she made us (and the dogs) feel very welcome. The property itself is finished to a high standard, well equipped (enough cutlery and crockery for a small army) and dog friendly. The bedrooms are light and airy. The garden is fantastic - enclosed, secure, nicely planted, large lawn, patio areas with 3 different seating areas, backing onto woodland and more dog friendly than my own. We (4 adults plus 2 dogs) had a lovely, week long, holiday at the thoughtfully comfortable ‘Copper Beeches’. Thank you.

The house is extremely well appointed and well equipped - it's been recently renovated and so looks immaculate. They have thought of pretty much everything in the house from toys and games to kitchen equipment to first aid items to local books and guides. Whilst we weren't able to use the garden as the weather wasn't very kind to us, it is spacious and has good furniture for sitting out and eating out. The property is only a few miles from the coast and from Sandringham. Would thoroughly recommend Copper Beeches to anyone who wants to spend a few days exploring the North Norfolk Coast.

The property was very tastefully decorated with all the facilities one would need. The garden was lovely with provision to dine outside although for us we did not have that pleasure in that the weather was not warm enough. The information pack regarding the local amenities proved to be very useful as was the information regarding the operation of all the facilities. We did not need to use the third bedroom but on close inspection it was nice to see in place toys and games for children. We had a very comfortable stay and should we venture to that location again we would have no hesitation in seeking a return to Copper Beeches.

DERSINGHAM

Royal Sandringham 1.5 miles; Snettisham 3.0 miles; Hunstanton 7.6 miles.

Dersingham is one of the largest villages in the Borough of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. It is situated on the outskirts of the Royal Sandringham Estate with its impressive house, church and gardens which are open to the public, plus nearby are the plant farm, tea rooms and gift shop at Norfolk Lavender, England's premier lavender farm. Dersingham has many local amenities and is served by a Post Office, two supermarkets, a butcher’s shop, newsagents and takeaway outlets. The traditional Norfolk village of Snettisham is nearby characterized by the pretty golden brown houses known locally as "gingerbread houses" due to the colouring of the local iron-rich carr stone used in their construction. The RSPB reserves at Snettisham and Titchwell are within easy reach as is the North Norfolk Coast including the family-friendly seaside resort of Hunstanton, well worth a visit. An excellent base for touring North Norfolk and its many delights.
