“We arrived at our lodge and from the front it was exactly what we were expecting.”
The key was very stiff to unlock the door but when we opened it - WOW, it was beautiful, fresh, clean and we understood we were only the 4th people to stay at the lodge since built. Inside had everything we needed to cook, with a great sized fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The outside space was fully equipped with seating to relax, table & chairs to eat, patio heater, sun loungers and hot tub. From previous lodges every day we knew someone came around to check the chemicals and the working of the hot tub, we never saw anyone do this during our stay at this lodge, although they may have when we were out but there were chemicals left in the box and we did check regularly ourselves. The site was beautiful, mainly residential and the neighbours were extremely friendly. A couple of points that may be slightly clearer for future bookings.- in their book the owners suggest that all recycling/rubbish is dropped off in the correct place, although there was not an area for rubbish on the site as all lodges had their own bins and recycling and general rubbish collected by council vehicles each alternate Friday, perhaps the owners could provide bins for future.rentals. It took us a while to find the lodge and drove up and down Common Road looking for it, we drove onto Pentney Lakes and only got as far as the mini roundabout before we turned around and drove out again. Eventually we ventured back into Pentney Lakes and drove beyond the roundabout and the entrance was further down the road. The address needs to include the name of the lodge which was Five Oaks, Pentney Lakes, Common Road .... This would be so much easier to find. Apart from these small details, we would definitely recommend and return ourselves again. Thank you for letting us share your Lodge.
