“Broom Cottage was a lovely little place with pleasant views and in a picturesque location.”
The sofas were relatively comfortable, and the kitchen had everything you would need in terms of equipment. The main bed was saggy in the middle and sadly hurt our lower backs, but in the main it was a nice stay in a pleasant, cute home.
The downside was really the maintainance and cleanliness. The surfaces, bedding, and sofas were beautifully clean, and the bathroom was cleaned to high standard, but there were aspects which really let it down.
Sellotape holding the shower support, mouldy sealant in and around the shower, and the basin tap was loose.
Behind the bed (we looked for sockets to charge phones) was a large amount of cobwebs and dust.
Downstairs there was the same issue around and behind all of the furniture, plus the kitchen floor was unreasonably dirty and needed a really good scrub.
Outside the pretty garden was overrun with weeds, including common ragwort which is toxic to humans and dogs.
We had a lovely holiday, but it would have been even better if these points had been remedied.
