“When we arrived, the house was not clean especially the floor and windows.”
No welcome pack was given and not enough fridge/cooker space for the amount of people adverised to stay
. No toilet roll holders, which should be standard and the boiler was broken and leaking. Hot water was temperamental and only seemed to work when the heating was on so it was uncomfortably hot as only 1 window to open downstairs. We phoned the owner and they said they cant get a plumber so sent a local handyman who confirmed we need a plumber. Lovely area with local woods to dog walk and good sized property.
We were surprised to find that you found that the floor and windows were not particularly clean; if you had brought this to our attention, we would have been happy to arrange for a cleaner to come out and address any cleanliness concerns. We are sorry that there was a problem with the boiler, unfortunately this was not something we could foresee happening and we did our very best to source a plumber to resolve the issues. As we were not able to attain one, due to the time of year we arranged for the "local handyman" who is a builder so he fits these in houses he builds. We did everything we could to resolve the issue and were told the issue had been resolved. We were not made aware that there were still issues with the boiler after it was attended to. With regards to your comments about the hot water being temperamental and worked when heating was on, we are unsure how this could occur as we have been informed there is not a connection between the two on a combi boiler. We are very sorry that there was an issue and we will always do all we can to help. Finally you mentioned no welcome pack we provided, but we did leave you two bottles of wine. After conversing with you, you said that you enjoyed your stay so we are glad of this, just disappointed that you did not mention the cleanliness or a further issue with the boiler as we would have endeavoured to assist.
