Everything there to be self sufficient during our stay. Only a ten minute walk to the Wellington pub which has very welcoming staff and ice cold beer & cider for on a hot day.
Unfortunately too many niggles for me to not stay there again.

Shame about the location. Road is just far too busy to be able to get a proper nights sleep when it’s warm as needed to have the windows open. At home we live 200 yards from the M6, and I sleep soundly with all the windows open. Bed mattresses could do with being replaced as they are very tired. Wrong lamp shade in the twin room as I kept clunking my head on it, and I’m only 5ft 9. The en-suite sink is barely a trickle for some reason. The down stares shower curtain rail is fitted a tad too high so the tile floor gets soaked, even with the towel provided snugged up against the shower base. The floor is starting to deteriorate as a result of the water ingress. Would have enjoyed the outside space more, just not a fan of peacock poo right outside the back door. Its like having a pet dog out there with the size of those nuggets. For some reason, even without the fire being used for quite some time, I would imagine as it’s so warm just lately, an overpowering smell of smoke in the property, even upstairs. Very unusual. Maybe something to do with wind direction down the chimney.
So yeah, unfortunately it’s no real surprise it will be taken off the rental market very soon by the family. Considering they live just next door, I was surprised I didn’t hear a peep out of them to see how we were getting on. I realise some people step back and don’t want to disturb their client’s privacy, but when there’s a temporary metal grid plate over a manhole that clangs whenever a vehicle hits it in the middle of the drive, on top of an annoying dog barking at night, a little “hello how you getting on”, would have been welcomed. Just got the feeling that we were more of an inconvenience or ironically, an annoyance to them by staying there.
So just a few things there that made our stay much less comfortable than I would have liked it to be. Looking forward to a good nights sleep next to a motorway now, sad really.
