The Attic

A great little place, perfect for us and our two young kids.

It's a great location for getting to places like Kings Lynn and Hunstanton, and the local pub in nearby Middleton is lovely. The property is nicely furnished and has all the facilities you need for a holiday. There are lots of walks you can do in the local area, across fields and along the river too. The large balcony is great for sitting outside in warmer weather and has lovely views of the surrounding countryside. This was our second visit and we'll definitely be back

It was a really lovely place in a great location and was very comfortable.

Our only small criticism would be that it would have been better if it had drawers in the bedrooms and also a mirror in the bedrooms. Otherwise it was a great place to stay and we really enjoyed it. It was great sitting on the Juliet balcony and looking out over the fields. We saw some beautiful red moons rising in the distance.

Beautiful property in a great location, with lovely peaceful views.

Specced to a high standard, but unfortunately let down in several small areas which detracted from our stay there. These were : Dripping kitchen tap. Clearly known about as a bowl was left in the sink to catch the water. Dripping sound was not elped by noisy water pipes. Main bedroom window draft and clunky to close. Lots of cobwebs inside and out, which led to lots of spiders indoors which the wife didn't enjoy! Outside table was too dirty to use and no products available to clean it. Basic clothes hangers in each bedroom, but no chest of drawers or even hooks to hang anything, even in the bathroom. TV remote batteries dying, or assume they are as it only worked within 2 meters of the TV. Lack of welcome amenities like tea and coffee, or basic food offerings like salt and pepper. One dirty bath towel, but thankfully we had a spare so not an issue. We still thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but sorting out the water issues, de-cobwebbing in and out, and a few more places to put clothes in the bedrooms would have made things better.

We have never stayed in somewhere so basically equipped.

An ironing board but no iron. No mirrors in bedrooms, no drawers or a shelf in bedrooms so nowhere to put anything. No books games cards etc no house book with recommendations for visits or eating places. Only 4 plates bowls glasses so though dishwasher not practical no fruit bowl or other dishes. No pictures are except one very high up in kitchen. No s and p or teabags milk to welcome guests. No hairdryer no hooks on door backs etc. bathroom lovely with great shower beds comfortable lovely balcony which as we had good weather was a great advantage. This property had a great layout and could have been fantastic with just a little effort and minimal expenditure.

Beautiful modern carriage house, with stunning views.

Lovely and clean, beds are very comfortable and the veranda is a wonderful place to chill in the evening and enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the sun go down. The property had everything you needed if a little sparse on the utensils. A few more mirrors would be useful especially in the bedrooms. There are no drawers in the bedrooms but there is a clothes rail and hangers for your clothes, there is please plenty of room on the floor out of the way for your suitcase so it’s easy enough to use that as your underwear draw. Plenty of storage space in kitchen and bathroom for food and toiletries. If you like to clean as you go best to take a few essentials with you as very little cleaning products available other than the basics. I would definitely recommend if you love peace and quiet. Neareast restaurant/pub is probably Middleton’s as in the village of same name. Lovely place and very good service and about 2-3 miles away, could be walked but on country roads at night this might be a bit risky, but with plenty of parking easy enough to find a space. I would definitely stay here again great base for visiting North Norfolk coast, most of the fabulous beaches being around an hours drive away. Would definitely recommend Holkham, fabulous beach!

The cottage is immaculate and appears to be newly refurbished.

The facilities included are good. It is set in a rural location with lovely views over fields. The balcony is a great feature though unfortunately it wasn’t warm enough to sit out during our stay My own research led me to believe that a pub and shop were nearby with the same postcode but in fact they are a couple of miles away

Had a lovely 3 night stay at The Attic.

A beautiful place to spend a few days with friends. Views from the veranda are beautiful, enjoyed my morning coffee just watching birds and animals in the countryside. So peaceful! Easy to get to, and 10 mins from Kings Lynn. Place was clean, tidy, nice and modern, beds we’re comfortable and shower room was lovely and big. The owner welcomed us on arrival which was lovely. Would defo recommend and would stay again.

Beautifully clean and fantastic views across the fields!

We stayed at the Attic in Blackborough End for a nearby family wedding, which worked really well.

However there was a distinct lack of mirrors which made getting ready difficult. Also we had a year old baby with us and the bathroom door was very creaky and winked him. Otherwise we loved our stay.

Had a wonderful stay, what a fantastic location and so quiet at night.

It is exactly as described in the listing (including the TV's in the rooms). Wonderful to look out over the fields in the evening and open up the doors, especially in this warm weather. A great base for all the day trips we made to Wells-Next-The-Sea, Hunstanton and others. Would highly recommend.

. There are many beautiful walks in the area and Kings Lynn is a lovely town to explore. Note there is no bath mat or potato peeler and only one small mirror.

The attic was beautifully kept if a little minimalist.

Everything was lovely and clean. The floor had been vacuumed but unfortunately possibly not mopped as there was a few dusty footprints. We quickly located the mop ourselves and rectified this with no trouble. The decor is very lovely and clean with comfortable beds. I feel the property could use a little more storage for unpacking your clothes but we managed fine with the rail provided and out of the case as we had a spare bed as there’s 3 of us. The thing that makes this a five star stay was location as it is close to kings lynn and lots of things to do but you feel like you’re away from it all and because you are upstairs the view is stunning with bunnies running around, deer and bird life.

Very warm and comfortable.

Surprised at lack of teapot. Also had to go out on Sunday and buy J cloth, pan scourer, spare loo roll. We had taken teatowels as Sykes info suggested but expected to find the rest. No written instructions were provided. On Wednesday morning another resident drove out early and locked the gates on the main drive, so we were stuck inside! Luckily there was somebody working in the adjacent farm yard who came and opened the gates but it was a worry thereafter as we didn’t have any code. We do think the property would benefit from some drawers in the bedrooms, and a second set of crockery would make it possible to use the dishwasher instead of washing up by hand after every meal.

The apartment was warm, clean and inviting it was located exactly as described although without provision of any helpful info on where to go etc we never did locate the pub which was billed as 1 mile away.

The listing was inaccurate because it advised there were 3 tvs in the property yet in truth only one was installed…this was not an issue for us but the entry should be corrected. The kitchen lacked the provision of a teapot and a cafetière. The bed was a standard double and the main bedroom would benefit from the provision of a king size bed. Better (wooden?) hangers would lift the hanging space considerably. There is little or no storage space for suitcases. The lighting in the seating area was inadequate for reading. Overall it was a pleasant property and we enjoyed our stay.

Please note, between the metal gates as you enter the property there is a metal back on the ground.

It does not affect 4x4’s or larger vehicles but as my Mazda is low to the ground, it caused damage to my exhaust and underside. Also your listing clearly states THREE smart televisions, there was only one. We had planned to watch television in bed. We advise a bath mat is supplied as the bathroom floor can be slippery. Finally being allergic to feathers, the bedding meant a considerable lack of sleep. Overall great views, good facilities, nice location.
