“We chose the Old Rectory Coach House for its secluded location and because it looked like it would meet all our needs on the Sykes website.”
What we didn’t realise was that we were about to spend a week in an exquisitely renovated Coach House, adjoining one of Norfolk’s finest homes that has been developed from what was a 1858 Victorian Rectory. The time, effort, and care that Rachel and Grenville have put into restoring this Norfolk gem is remarkable.

From the moment we arrived and opened the door, we knew we would be very comfortable here. We were also delighted to find a thoughtful welcome pack of cake, milk, tea, and coffee waiting for us – such a lovely touch that immediately made us feel at home and in the hands of truly attentive hosts.
Five stars doesn’t really do this property justice. It has everything (and more) that you could possibly need, and the beautifully decorated rooms create a calming, peaceful atmosphere that was wonderful to come back to after a day out exploring.
Rachel and Grenville greeted us warmly on arrival and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. We cannot recommend the Old Rectory Coach House highly enough – it is a true Norfolk treasure, and we look forward to returning.
