    “A nice and spacious (for two persons) cottage at a quiet and safe location.”

    Very convenient to explore the nearby villages and market towns, by using public transport in particular. Bed and sofas are comfortable, and the fireplace is amazing bonus. Toilet/bathroom can be beneficial from some update. In general, we have a great break staying there and didn't manage to do all planned, so may book again next year.

The ancient village of Gayton lies in a Conservation Area, boasts many listed buildings, a village pub and many lovely walks with the Midshires Way meandering through the village. The Nene Valley area has many lovely unspoilt villages, country parks with the River Nene and Grand Union Canal passing through. Close by, the historical town of Towcester, the oldest in Northamptonshire, plays hosts to many horse racing events, boasts its own Brewery, individual shops, traditional pubs with numerous festivals to enjoy throughout the year. The Saracens Head pub in the town is said to be the pub visited by Mr Pickwick in Charles Dickens' The Pickwick Papers. The walled town of Northampton, dates back to the Bronze Age, boasts the oldest Market Square in Britain and offers many shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an Art Deco theatre, museums and plays host to many festivals and sporting events throughout the year.
