National Trust properties are close by, where you can enjoy a tour of the house & grounds of magnificent Blickling Hall, or head to Felbrigg Hall, Gardens & Estate, whilst outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the abundance of walking and cycling opportunities from the door and across the area of the nearby Norfolk Broads.
With Cromer's seafront only a 20-minute journey away, be sure to stop off at Cromer Pier, the Amazona Zoo and Cromer Museum, perfect for all of the family to enjoy, finishing off a day trip with fish & chips or Cromer crab.
Catch the narrow-gauge steam train from Aylsham to Wroxham and combine it with a boat trip on the Broads, or for a day of history, shopping and character, head into Norwich to explore the colourful Market, the Castle Museum, Norwich Cathedral and the many independent shops of The Lanes.

A very good & well appointed cottage.
Its age gives it a certain appealing “quirkiness” Ideal location for exploring the area, of which there is plenty to see & do. There were plenty of information brochures in the cottage. 2 good National Trust properties locally, both worth a visit. Not far from both Cromer & Sheringham.
We had a lovely week in Bridge Cottage.
It's a lovely cottage and is in a great location for exploring Norfolk. It's only a 10 minute walk into Aylsham town where there are cafes, pubs, shops etc. It was very peaceful sitting in the courtyard garden listening to all the birds singing. We would happily stay there again.
Booking process was smooth.
Lots of useful information both via Sykes and in the folder in the cottage. The cottage was clean and comfortable with a lovely welcome pack with cake and strawberries and well appointed with kitchenware etc. Only very slight criticism is that there wasn't a larger cooking pan but otherwise very good. The setting is wonderful...lots to do close by and excellent public transport. No parking directly at the cottage but we followed the directions given and parked easily a short walk away. Excellent overall.
