Elliott's Retreat

We really liked the accommodation.

It worked well with family of four and grandparents. We had our own bathrooms and space. Location was perfect and quiet. Very clean also.

Elliots Retreat is probably the best overall accommodation we have stayed in.

Everything you could possibly need was there. There was even a loaf of bread, butter, jam and milk left for us on arrival. The location is in a very central location for Sheringham and Croma and the Norfolk coast in general. If you have had enough of driving, I can highly recommend the excellent bus service, the bus stops are about a 10 minute gentle stroll away. If you happen to have a bus pass as we have it's even better. We took a trip into Norwich by bus, takes about 1 hour 20 minutes. It was so much more relaxing being driven and being able to look at all the scenery instead having to concentrate on the road plus you don't have worry about parking when you get where you want to go. All in all a top notch place to stay.

This property ticked all the boxes for our stay.

Situated just off the main road between Sheringham and Cromer. Would definetly recomend it. Very enjoyable stay.

The accommodation was comfortable, spotless and well maintained.

There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival, containing fresh bread, jams, tea and coffee. Milk in the fridge. Very well set out for two families/friends, having two bathrooms and a twin bedroom. Nice sunny, well maintained garden . Appreciated use of washing machine and rotary drier in garden. Excellent quiet location for exploring and on good bus route.

A lovely and well appointed property decorated to a high standard.

A welcome food pack awaited us in the dining area was a welcome touch at the start of our stay. We made use of the local bus service with the bus stop just a short walk from the property. We would highly recommend Elliott's retreat for people looking for accommodation to stay in this beautiful part of the country.

Have suggested that for safety reasons hand rails be added in the two showers.

Elliotts retreat is a wonderfully maintained bungalow with great facilities, the beds were comfy and the added touch of supplying bread, milk and biscuits on arrival were very welcome.

The area is quiet but close to the coast and a the lovely town of Sherringham. Lots to do and see in the area but equally would be happy to chill in the well maintained private garden.

A very clean, comfortable and well-equipped holiday let.

Certainly one of the best we’ve come across. It even had a slow cooker which is very unusual. The owner was very attentive and helpful. Would consider staying here again in future.

Spotlessly clean, well equipped and a real home from home. We loved it so much that we have already booked to go back next year!!

An excellent and very enjoyable stay.

The design of the property is perfect for two families - one being grandparents and the other a family with up to two children as the rooms are at separate ends of the bungalow, each with their own facilities. The garage is equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Everything was very clean and worked. The beds were very comfortable and the chairs and settee in the lounge are recliners. Televisions everywhere - not that we used them! There are are also plenty of DVD films and books and boxed games of all descriptions.

A modern, very clean and well equipped bungalow.

We enjoyed our stay and would happily return. It should be noted that the walk into Sheringham is quite a long one and involves a very busy road, fine for us but those with young children or difficulty walking might find it difficult. As a base to explore the wider area though, the bungalow is highly recommended.

We were really happy with Elliott's retreat, it had everything you needed, was clean and felt really private.

The welcome pack was greatly appreciated and very plentiful and the flowers were a lovely treat. If anybody takes a baby and uses the cot provided take a mattress, as I wasn't aware this came under part of the bedding.

Excellent place to stay and the owners add extra touches such as tea , coffee and milk was provide on our arrival.

They even provided a loaf of bread and a selection of preserves. The accommodation was homely and comfortable but there was only enough seating in the lounge area for five persons so one of us had to sit on a bean bag. Apart from that we enjoyed our time at Elliots retreat and would definitely recommend the property.

This detached bungalow is great. It offers everything you need for your holiday stay. It is modern, clean and well presented. It is in a lovely quiet residential area. The welcome basket was unexpected but a really nice touch. Would visit again.

We had extremely comfortable beds and the kitchen was unusually well equipped.

We appreciated the complimentary packets left for us on our arrival and the scent from the many flowering plants in the garden was truly wonderful.

We all enjoyed our 2 week stay at Elliott' Retreat.

The only thing missing was a tea strainer! Fortunately we took own. BUT unfortunately we left it behind at Elliott's retreat!!! A small price to pay! Well equipped and lovely and clean bungalow. We are booked for next year 2022. Big increase in price. But owner would have received no revenue in 2020. If you come, try Priory maze,Beeston Regis. 5 minute walk. Book it 1st. Very pleasant place for a light lunch,also Holt Garden Centre in Kelling.

Elliott's Retreat is a fantastic bungalow with adequate off street parking for 2/3 cars, has quality furnishings & fittings throughout, superb bathrooms, the cleanliness was exceptional and an ideal property for guests with limited mobility.

Ideally situated for visiting Sheringham, Cromer & for sight seeing along both coastlines. There is also a bus route not far from the property. Good communication with the owners Paul & Jo. Would highly recommend

Elliotts Retreat is a lovely place to stay.

It is exactly as stated in the description and photographs. Everything seems very new and fresh and the kitchen has everything that you need to self cater properly. We were very grateful for the instructions for the heating which meant we had a nice warm place to come back to after wet windy walks. I would recommend this bungalow.

Elliott's Retreat was one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in.

It was very clean and comfortable. The sofa and chairs reclined, the decor was fresh, and the beds extremely comfortable. It was easy to get to Sheringham, Cromer, Felbrigg House, Blakeney and Wells-Next-the-Sea

The lovely quiet location of the bungalow and how well it was equipped, also the location was within walking distance of Sheringham and the lovely country and sea walks.

The standard of accommodation is high.

In terms of location the property is very close to a number of beaches and was good as a base to visit local National Trust places (Sheringham Park, Blickling Estate and Fellbrigg). We also went to Blakeney, The Broads and Norwich. Overall we had an enjoyable holiday.

The Owners should be complemented on their communication to us prior to holiday and afterwards.

Facilities were everything you could need. We did some lovely walks along the coast. There is a shop just at the end of the road which was excellent for stocking up on essentials. This is a lovely area.

The bungalow's position, on a delightfully quiet estate of bungalows, is fabulous. The bungalow had everything we wanted and could possibly have needed. All three bedrooms are of a good size and having a bathroom and a separate shower room is great as we were three couples sharing the accommodation. The lounge is a delightfully sunny, light room and as with all other rooms, extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. The kitchen-diner was a lovely place in which to share meals (extremely well-equipped) The folder with operating instructions for the electrical equipment was very helpful. The 'corner-shop', just a short walk away, is very well-stocked and has very pleasant, informative staff (they made us feel very 'at-home'). We also exchanged pleasantries with the neighbours who also welcomed us. We had a fabulous holiday and certainly hope to return to Elliott's Retreat in the future.

Lovely clean comfortable bungalow, with plenty of room.

In the garden was a lovely patio set. Wi-Fi worked brilliantly. A lovely local shop just down the road that had everything in stock that you could wish for. Bungalow was ideally situated to be able to walk into Sheringham. Would love to stay here again.

We were on a walking holiday and the location was very quiet but also perfect as a base and for visiting local attractions.

It was one of the best holiday accommodations we have experienced and would not hesitate in recommending it to our friends. The complimentary flowers and home made scones was a nice touch. The weather was also great which was an added bonus!
