    “A mixed bag.”

    The upstairs room is unsafe for a child the stairs are so steep and the stair gate half way down the steep stairs. The shower room upstairs was filthy. I dropped a loo roll on the floor and it was black where it hit the floor. Advertised as twin but 2 double rooms. Poorly maintained. Good location.

    I am sorry you were not happy. The stairs up to the single room are advertised as steep as they are in many Norfolk cottages. Unfortunately they can’t be changed because of the grade 2 listing. There is a stair gate at the top and bottom. I personally checked the cleaners before your stay including all the floors which i felt were all cleaned and washed. Again I am sorry and if there are any problems we ask in the details that people let us know. We are always happy to put right. Property Owner

The Bittern is a delightful cottage nestled in the centre of Blakeney in Norfolk, just a short distance from a variety of restaurants, shops and pubs.

With the beach only a brief drive away, this property offers a great setting for families or friends looking to enjoy a coastal break.

The room includes a 26-inch LCD TV, DVD player, two armchairs, a comfortable sofa and a period fireplace with a coal effect fire.

The dining table seats four and provides a central spot for sharing meals and chatting about the day’s adventures.

The kitchen is equipped with everything needed for a self-catered stay, including a gas oven, gas hob and microwave, making it easy to prepare meals at your own pace.
