    “Property clean, tidy and comfortable, but I don’t know what makes its listing “luxury.”

    ” It needs more information on how to use the heating, shower, microwave, etc. Although on one level, the description did not mention a large step down into the kitchen and bedrooms, and as we have mobility problems it was far from satisfactory. Some information about things to do in the surrounding area would be helpful. Would not return to this property. Absolutely nothing to do within walking distance, so being able to drive is a must.

    The photographs in the listing clearly show that there is a step down to both the kitchen and the bedrooms. We include images of every room to ensure guests can make an informed decision before booking. The property has never been advertised as disabled-friendly, and we made this clear to Sykes when the property was first listed, advising that it may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues. Regarding the heating, the property uses storage heaters, which are preset and cannot be adjusted in the same way as standard radiators. All heaters were set to 21°C prior to your arrival. We understand that the bedroom heater had been switched off at the wall during your stay. As the heating was on and functioning before your arrival, this is unfortunately not something we are able to take responsibility for. The property was cleaned and prepared to a high standard before your arrival. However, we found that dogs had been allowed on the sofa and beds, which is against our house rules. As a result, the property was left in an unacceptable condition. Finally, the pub is approximately a two-minute walk from the property, located just down the road. Aside from staying at the pub itself, it would not be possible to be any closer. Property Owner
