Set within 1.3 acres of landscaped gardens on the owners' land in the lovely village of Catfield, in the Norfolk Broads National Park, lies this delightful holiday home, Walnut Tree Cottage.
Conveniently located within easy reach of local amenities and a characterful interior fit with plenty of home comforts, this home is an ideal base for a couple or group of friends to explore this scenic area.
As you arrive, off-road parking makes unloading a breeze, while the entrance porch makes a great space for drying dogs.
Make your way into the L-shaped sitting room where you can cosy up to watch the Smart TV.
From here, the kitchen/diner has all you need for your self-catering stay, so you can whip up a tasty dinner to enjoy while you recount the day's adventures at the table.
Upstairs, three neatly presented bedrooms offer space to rest; a double with an en-suite, a twin and a single for a flexible sleeping arrangement.
Outside, spend the summer months in the charming garden, where your four-legged friends can stretch their legs.

This property had everything you needed ,property was spotless clean ,owners greeted us on arrival and was very welcoming,we had a welcome basket of wine ,bread biscuits and even treats for our dog The gardens were lovely and the paddock for our dog was a real bonus secured so no worry of her getting out .

A dog safe environment, very home from home. We have all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would like to say thank you for the goodie basket and thoughtful treats for our girls! Lovely location close to the local pub The Crown, service was excellent with great food, nothing was too much trouble. Not too far to visit the Briads National Park, dog friendly beaches and countryside walks. We hope to visit again sometime soon.

A beautiful cottage.
Immaculately clean and well stocked with essentials for your stay. A gorgeous welcome hamper with even treats for the dog! The owners were on site and lovely people who were only too pleased to help or offer advice on places to visit. A great base to explore Norwich, Great Yarmouth, The Broads and more.

Lovely location.
Present stay. A little dated ans showers not very powerful. Overall though very nice.
Excellent welcome pack best by far , very friendly owners who are next door, pub a little walk away which was also very nice, but needs more lighting as dark driveway also couldn’t let the dog out on her own as there was a pheasant that would visit, other than that it was nice and cosy .

A nice location making local attractions easy to get to.
The property provided parking for two cars, a safe enclosed picturesque garden for children or a dog to enjoy. The accommodation was excellent. Well recommended.

Walnut Tree Cottage has to be the best we have stayed in.
The owners Sharon and Tim simply thought of everything. The welcome pack was amazing, it is the most well stocked cottage we have stayed in. Sharon and Tim were there to greet us and on hand if we needed them. Other than that we didn't see them. Excellent location for the Broads. We will certainly be visiting again.

We were so impressed with the cottage absolutely every kitchen utensils needed even dogs bowls and blankets for the furniture etc Sharon and Tim had throught of everything a very lovely couple made us feel very welcome a lovely friendly dog friendly pub on the doorstep great food not one complaint we will definitely return perhaps next year in the summer

We would certainly recommend it without reservation. Tim and Sharon were very welcoming and friendly, and were great hosts. The cottage was very comfortable, well equipped, and very well situated for day trips to the coast and to all parts of beautiful Norfolk. In the summer we would also have been able to benefit from the peaceful, secluded garden. Perhaps on our next visit??

The cottage was lovely owners very helpful if you needed anything.
It had everything it you needed for a peaceful break and the pub literally just round the corner was lovely too. Safe enclosure for the dogs to play and the gift basket was a lovely welcoming.

The cottage was in a lovely setting and had its own garden, separate from the main house. Inside the cottage, it was well laid out and very comfortable. The welcome hamper was an added bonus. The gardens surrounding the cottage are so pretty and the area is so quiet and peaceful. Catfield is close to a local main route, so easy to travel to many different places. The local shop and post office is very handy and just a few yards away. The local Crown Inn is just around the corner and does very good meals and the staff are very welcoming. A lovely place to stay in a lovely setting!

The cottage was well equipped with a generous welcome pack. As we booked the cottage because of the separate shower we were disappointed with the water flow.
Thanks for your feedback. Had you mentioned the shower whilst you were here, we could have explained that the cottage is in an area which, at times, does experience reduced pressure for the mains water supply. We're pleased that, otherwise, you seem to have enjoyed your stay.

A lovely welcome by Tim and Sharon for this last minute Easter break with my wife, children and dog The welcome pack was fantastic and the property was first class.
Every homely comfort was catered for. The local pub is within spitting distance as is the small shop. A larger Tesco is within a 10 minute drive. The family and I would recommend this property.

Everything you could need was available lovely spacious accommodation spotlessly clean. Well situated to enjoy all of North Norfolks attractions. This was probably the cleanest and best equipped accommodation we have ever stayed in and would not hesitate to recommend it.
From arrival Sharon and Tim made us feel so welcome and although some vendors offer Dog friendly facilities which don’t quite meet the mark, this accommodation really is dog friendly. Weather was perfect as was the cottage location, walking distance to National Trust properties and the Broads. Beaches are local and clean and we said hello to over sixty seals one day at Horsey Gap! Thanks so much for your hospitality, if you’ll have us we will be back!

Comfortable, quiet and relaxing cottage.
Set in beautiful gardens. Easy parking. Generous welcome pack,.Smart tv, Good wifi for mobiles. Helpful hosts, but who do not intrude. Perfectly placed for both the broads and coast/beaches. Highly recommended

It was lovely to meet our wonderful hosts.
They gave us a very warm welcome, and left us a very generous welcome basket of goodies, including butter and milk in the fridge. They had thought of absolutely everything so that we had a fabulous stay. Walnut Cottage was just perfect; I could have moved in. A great cottage for two couples sharing. It was ideally situated for us as guests of Hickling sailing club for the week. It was also ideal for days out exploring the local area. The local shop at Catfield was amazingly well stocked, and was just over the road, with Tesco just a few minutes drive away. We had a really lovely holiday here and were sad to leave.

This is our second visit to Walnut Tree Cottage and we were very pleased to be back!
The property is like a home from home and the garden and paddock is fantastic for the dogs to run around. There was another great Welcome Pack from the owners, Tim & Sharon, and they made us very welcome as soon we arrived. There is a dog friendly pub in the village serving very good food and the village is well located for visiting the lovely Norfolk coast and the Broads. We will return again to this lovely place.

A very lovely cosy cottage very well equipped had everything you needed and more like a home from home even bowls and blankets for dog's the garden was lovely full off plants and flowers and fenced for dogs and a seating patio area the welcome baskets with dog treats was a lovely touch and the host are very welcoming and friendly will be back next year thank you

Everything we needed was to hand. The garden and paddock were great for the dogs. The property was in a great location for visiting both the Broads and the beach. We were very lucky with the weather too. We also saw the seals at Horsey gap which was great. The hosts were very welcoming but not intrusive. A lovely spacious holiday cottage.

The couple who owned the property that we stayed at were lovely and made us feel very welcome. The house was extremely well equipped….everything that you could possibly require was there.It was spotlessly clean and furnished well.It had a cosy feel to it although it was actually very spacious. Preparation had even been made for our dogs….…dog bowls ,treats etc. We were invited to use the owners garden which was lovely and in a beautiful setting . We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Walnut Tree House and would not hesitate to recommend it. Joan

how do you start .
.....very very clean ...welcome and helpful hosts....a nice quiet location near some amazing beaches ...it was a very wet February visit with local flooding ..but the place is huge and very dog friendly ...nice and warm inside (cosy) saw a fox in the garden and also have deer ... Tim and Sharon run a really good ship ..loved our stay will book again if you'll have us ...thank you all the best andy annette ,luna and maximus

This is a wonderful place to stay.
Very private, delightful hosts who are happy to chat but never intrusive. The cottage has everything necessary and more for a good break for four people, and is extremely comfortable, including good heating, 2 upstairs bathrooms (but no downstairs loo). The weather wasn’t conducive to using the garden, but that would be lovely in the summer.

The owners Sharon &Tim have thought of & provided everything to make the cottage warm ,cosy & comfortable . It is spotlessly clean & furnished tastefully . It was quiet & peaceful . Our 3 dogs were made very welcome & loved playing in the completely secure garden . The welcome basket was such a nice thoughtful touch with practical necessities as well as a few indulgent ones as well !

We had a lovely time staying here and enjoying all that the area had to offer.
The Broads are nearby, as is the coast and it is only a short drive into Norwich with everything you might want or need. There's a village shop that is very handy and the area is beautiful. The gardens offered a peaceful and beautiful place to relax with very well maintained flower beds and hanging baskets. Out hosts who live next door were very mindful of our privacy while being on hand should we have any problems. They are both lovely people with cheerful and positive attitudes that we really liked. There was nothing negative about our week away here and I highly recommend this accommodation.

Wonderful hosts, everything was catered for. Only slight gripe, the shower's need updating, which I believe is being actioned in the next off season. But would 100% recommend especially for the location which for the broads is perfect!

The welcome we received from Sharon and Tim on arrival was brilliant, they made us feel so at home and showed us all the features of the lovely holiday home.
There was a well stocked welcome pack waiting for us too. The bungalow is a real home from home - everything we needed was there. The location is ideal for exploring both the coastline and Norfolk Broads, and the village pub, The Crown was very welcoming, only 2 minutes walk from Walnut Tree Cottage - there was a very selection of food to choose from. We will definitely return to this lovely holiday home. Thank you, Sharon & Tim.

Sharon and Tim are perfect hosts, the welcome basket provided was lovely, and so useful after a long journey. Unlike many holiday properties, where the minimum of everything is provided (eg washing up liquid, toilet rolls), there was more than enough of everything we could have needed. The cottage is very well equipped and very comfortable, and the outside space delightful. The property is in a great location with a well stocked local shop and a pub doing good food within about 3 minutes walk. Also well within reach of many local attractions. We would recommend Walnut Tree Cottage without hesitation.

Lovely cottage set in beautiful gardens.
Very friendly owners. Dog friendly. Loved the visits from the squirrels and occasional muntjac who would peer through the patio windows.

An extremely comfortable house, with a beautiful garden.
The location is perfect for access to the north broads and coast. The owners are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We had a wonderful holiday with our 2 dogs and would love to go back again.

House was spacious, clean and lots of little extra's such as tin foil, washing up stuff, dog dishes, that just made it a very easy relaxing stay. Welcome pack was great and fantastic to have milk to be able to make a hot drink when arrive! Sharon and Tim were very pleasant and helpful and best of all welcomed our dogs fondly!!

We have just arrived home after a lovely stay at Walnut Tree Cottage.
We were made to feel so welcome by the owners and the welcome pack with all the essentials we needed until we went shopping and fresh flowers were very much appreciated. The cottage is warm and cosy, the bed is comfortable and the location great for exploring the area. The local pub was a nice place to go for a meal and the staff there were so friendly. We would highly recommend the cottage as a place to stay. If we are in the area again we will certainly see if you have space for us.

The cottage is so spacious and the welcome pack had everything you need for your first night wine bread butter biscuits and lovely friendly pub next door until you do a shop at Tesco only down the road, never been to such a well equipped cottage.

A real home from home.
We couldn't have been more comfortable, and nothing had been overlooked - with the added bonus of vases of fresh flowers, and some basic food supplies to tide us over until we could shop next morning. Really appreciated its quiet location and off road parking, as well as a good pub just 1 minute around the corner. Big thank you to the owners for the effort and care they put into making it such a welcoming stay.

Walnut Tree cottage is ideal if you are looking to stay in a peaceful location.
The owners were friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome, including our dog. The basket of food and drink left for us on arrival was a nice touch. The cottage was very clean, spacious and well equipped. The lounge was cosy and the bed was comfortable. The pleasant garden at the front and side of the property is accessible from the front door. This area is in an enclosed space and safe for our dog to roam about without the worry of him escaping. There is a convenience store a couple of minutes walk away and a pub which serves delicious meals. We enjoyed nice walks with the dog around the area of Burgh Castle and on the beach at Winterton on sea. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to book another holiday there one day soon.
