    There were lots of really thoughtful additions - a lovely welcome basket on arrival, a kitchen that was stocked not only with crockery and utensils but also basics such a washing up liquid etc, handwash in all bathrooms, and lots of other handy items that aren’t always available in a holiday let. I would challenge anyone to list a kitchen accessory not available in this house! There was a real homely feel to it, and we had a very enjoyable week. I would challenge anyone to list a kitchen accessory not available in this house! There was a real homely feel to it, and we had a very enjoyable week. The window cleaner visited during our stay, and he was extremely friendly and even recommended a location for a day out. The main road does run immediately outside the property and there are times of day when this is noisy - but importantly, it is very quiet at night and we were not at all disturbed even with having the window open. You can’t hear the road at all from the master bedroom or the lounge. The sofa was very comfortable, but I would say an extra seat is needed for 6 people (especially as we were staying with 2 teenagers). The beds were really comfortable, and there were plenty of additional pillows and blankets if needed. The master bedroom is beautiful, with lots of storage and a lovely en suite. There were a few cleaning and maintenance points but none of these affected the quality of the stay. I only mention them for the owners reference. We didn’t sit in the garden, but would have needed to clean the furniture if we had. There was a dirty glass on the shelves and a dirty hand towel on the back of the bedroom door when we arrived. The tap in the kitchen drips quite a lot. The main bathroom shower head is cracked where it attaches, and the bottom of the bath feels very spongy when you are standing in it. The markings on the oven have completely worn away, making it hard to use and the manual left is actually just the installation guide. I would reiterate that we would definitely stay here again. The owners very obviously care that people have a nice stay, and have thought about all the holiday essentials. We also had a small maintenance issue whilst there and Sykes dealt with it very quickly, without any disruption. Overall, it was an extremely positive holiday experience!

About the location

STALHAM

Wroxham 8 miles; Norwich 15 miles; Great Yarmouth 17 miles.

The market town of Stalham, with its high street with a good range of shops and eateries, is a typical North Norfolk town. There is a small market which comes to the town on Tuesdays and a farmers’ market on every other Saturday, as well as regular sales in the town hall. Stalham is one of the major starting points of Norfolk Broads boating holidays and a museum to give you an insight in to the Broadland environment is a must. Just a few miles inland from fantastic beaches, this is a perfect base for exploring the Norfolk Broads and coastline.
