(When we renovated our chalet, environmental impact was one of our major concerns. Gas was removed, electric radiators installed, and electricity purchased from a supplier committed to renewables. The wall cavity was insulated, and 120mm insulation added to the roof, making the chalet much more comfortable for guests in all weathers. East Anglia has a growing population, but less rain than anywhere else in the country, so we felt that a bath was something that we should do without!)
