Honey Buzzard Barn is a little gem in the north Norfolk countryside.

It's a little like a tardis, as once you enter we were truly surprised at the size of the barn and the size of all the rooms. The barn has everything you need to enjoy your stay and the barn is very tastefully decorated. It has underfloor heating so has a lovely warm feeling. Comfortable seating and very comfortable beds. Its set in a very quiet location but you can drive to Fakenham in 10 minutes, Wells next to sea in 25 minutes and Cromer in 35 minutes. Its very centrally located. We enjoyed the wood burner in the evenings, it made it feel really cosy while watching TV or listening to music. The Barn has great off road parking. Honey Buzzard Barn is one of the best places we have stayed, well thought out, nicely decorated and has everything you could want. The milk and brownies to welcome you were a lovely surprise including tea and coffee. Thank you.

Honey Buzzard Barn is a beautiful property and very spacious.

It had everything we needed and the owners who live nextdoor were there if we encountered any problems. The tea, coffee, milk and cake were a very kind gesture. Unfortunately, whilst there the local water board were doing works so the water was turned off at night which was a bit of a nightmare but it was one of those things. Alistair (the owner) came around and also text us to let us know what was happening with the water which was lovely. We would love to return one day so we can explore the area a bit more as due to feeling a bit under the weather, we only managed to get out one day.

This was a return visit and didnt disappointed!

The hosts of Honey Buzzard are rare to find,getting the balance just right between showing interest but giving privacy,the barn itself is beautifully kitted out with many thoughtful touches,the underfloor heating is a game changer! Great location for exploring and good places to eat,and shop, nearby.We will be back

Very much enjoyed our stay at the barn.

Everything we could need was there. Very much liked bedrooms which were actually dark and not full of light as soon as the sun came up, our preference. Owners were lovely, met them for a chat on a few occasions.

Honey buzzard cottage was very clean and worm with a nice log fire and a nice hot shower.

The cottage had very easy access with plenty or parking for two cars. We've had a lovey week Norfolk and we would definitely stay at Honey Buzzard again. Chris

The property was as described.

It was a nice touch to receive a lovely cake on arrival and dog treats for our dog. The location was very peaceful and great places around for walking the dog. Would highly recommend and perfect for my disabled dad. The only downside for him was the shower. Would definitely stay again.

This was a perfect base for a perfect holiday.

The barn was immaculately clean and added extras such as milk in the fridge and some tea and coffee bags on the side were just what was needed after the long drive! Things such as netflix enabled TV, plenty of good books, selection of games for the kids and a whole host of local attraction leaflets made for a smooth and enjoyable stay for all. I loved ending my days of beach combing and local attractions with a long soak in the beautiful tub and the courtyard patio was perfect for outside eating. Our family of 4 including a 4 year old and an 8 year old had the best time particularly being able to all easily stretch out on the extra large sofas in the living room! The hosts were so attentive and friendly and we honestly couldn't have ask for more!

The barn is a great place to stay.

It's comfortable and well equipped. It feels very spacious inside as it has very high ceilings and it stayed quite cool even though the weather was pretty hot. The little yard is nice for eating breakfast and if you want more outside space then you're in the middle of the countryside so you can get it easily. It's not far from some fantastic beaches too. The owners live nextdoor and were very helpful.

Honey Buzzard Barn is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy trips out to Norfok's beaches , Broads, and interesting places like Sandringham and Blickling Hall, or to just enjoy the countryside around the barn, listening to the bird song and spotting deer and hare in the fields .

It is very well equipped, beds very comfortable . The owners are very friendly and welcoming , with good advice about the location , but then leave you to just enjoy the barn , not intrusive in anyway . We hope to stay again.

The barn is wonderful, very comfortable with everything we needed for our weeks stay.

The kitchen is very well equipped and it’s handy having a washing machine, especially after few muddy walks! The owners are lovely, made us feel very welcome ☺️ The location is perfect for reaching Holkham Beach, Wells, Felbrigg, Holt and Sheringham and it’s only a 8-10 min drive to the nearest supermarket and takeaways. There are some lovely local walks nearby which don’t need the car. The WiFi does drop off at times in the evening but I guess that’s probably due to the location. We’ve already booked for next year!

We had a lovely week at Honey Buzzard Barn.

The accommodation is second to none and in a perfect location to explore and take advantage of the surrounding countryside and nearby coastal areas and beaches. Not an area we have visited before but it was equal travelling distance for two old school pals now living miles apart in Leeds and Hurstpierpoint to meet for a week away. How lovely that we stumbled upon this gem! My dog Otis has a great time too. Thank you, Alistair and Catherine! Jennie, Louise and Otis x

The property is warm and well equipped.

As our stay was probably one of the coldest weeks of the winter, the wood burner was very appreciative in the evenings. It was very handy that the owners lived next door, and twice refilled the log basket free of charge. Nothing was too much trouble, and it was nice that they called to see us on the morning of departure. Would definitely recommend this property, it's very handy for all the North Norfolk attractions.

This was our second stay and it was just as good as our first.

Very comfortable, very clean. Kitchen well equipped. Lots of games for wet days. Wi-Fi excellent. Enjoyed our days out to various towns and villages. Holt we found was so pretty and full of independent shops as well as a couple of well known ones. Walking from the property you do need wellies but really worth packing them. Where ever we went every one was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying at Honey Buzzard Barn.

Honey buzzard farm is a lovely very comfortable, cosy and beautifully furnished and excellently equipped cottage the owners have gone all out to make your holiday a wonderful experience.

Honey Buzzard Cottage is certainly not a 4 star property.

Lack of attention to detail including lack of cutlery cooking implements, crockery, mirrors and very dark and lighting is an issue throughout. Cleanliness is a major issue though as we encountered very dirty pans and urine stained mattress covers. Owners have no regard to their guests either . Wouldn’t recommend this barn or Sykes cottages.

A lovely property in which to spend a holiday.

The weather wasn't good for a couple of days but we weren't bothered as it was such a nice comfy place to lounge around in. The owners deserve full credit for all their hard work on an excellent barn conversion. Just a word about Sat Nav signal - if you have an old system like ours in your car it's liable to drop out in this area. Ours did which made for an interesting map reading exercise to find it!

Just back from a lovely few days away at Honey Buzzard Farm, such a delightful place to stay, close enough to the shops and local town but still so quiet and secluded.

Honey Buzzard is the best holiday hire property we have used.

It is very well equipped, clean and located in an ideal area for travel to all of North Norfolk's attractions. The owners are very friendly and easy going. It has been a pleasure to chat with them. Indie, our cockerpoo and myself even went on a couple of walks with the resident cockerpoo Penny and her owner Catherine. It was great seeing the produce in the fields, sugar beet and peas to mention a few. As for the wildlife, lots of hares in the fields and even a deer was seen. The tracks used were traffic free except for the rare car going to a local property. Ideal to let Indie run off lead in safety. Simply the best. I will return to this oasis of peace and rest in the future

Could not fault the place, comfortable, clean, very well equipped, quiet. A good central location for easy access to several beaches, towns etc.

Second time we have stayed here owners very welcoming, it is very homely cottage & was very local to where we were having repairs done to our caravan.

We have been holidaying in Sykes holiday cottages for several years and found them all to be value for money.

Honey Buzzard Cottage however proved to be the best one to date. Well equipped, clean and comfortably warm (important as we stayed in a chilly week in mid April 2024). Ideally placed in North Norfolk within 30 minutes of most amenities along the North Norfolk coast. I highly recommend this very convenient holiday stay.

We loved this property and really didn't want to leave.

If we had any problems the owners were always happy to help. Would totally recommend staying here as it had everything we wanted and was really peaceful.

There was lots of places to visit not far away and surprising open even though our stay was over Christmas. Walks from barn were great for the dogs as they were off lead in a few yards. Would highly recommend to friends and family. Thank you.

This was our second visit to Honey Buzzard Barn and it didn't disappoint.

It feels so cosy and warm but also spacious, with the large kitchen and living space. The owners live next door and are lovely, but never intrusive. It is a perfect place for us to bring our dog as there are walks on the doorstep and we enjoyed spotting the wildlife, including kites, buzzards and muntjac deer. Close to Fakenham, Wells, Walsingham and Holt, as well as some beautiful unspoilt villages.

An excellent property a credit to the owners.

The renovation is superb, its warm and comfortable not tired like a lot of properties and is kitted out with everything you would need. We had a lovely time thankyou.

Honey Buzzard Barn is a lovely property with lovely caring and considerate owners who live beside the Barn.

It is so beautifully fitted out with lovely attention to detail and is warm and cosy. We had a very good time during our week and we were very lucky with the weather given the time of year.

We loved our stay, it was comfortable and cosy.

Just what we needed after windy beach walks. The only very small point that could be improved upon would be the bedlinen. Would prefer cotton bed linen. But in no way would it stop us returning. Thank you

Honeysuckle Barn was perfect.

Very spacious with beautiful features. It was our first holiday with our 2 10 month old dogs. The barn has been renovated to a high standard with lots of original features. The hosts were very friendly and recommended local dog walks. The location is a short drive to lovely dog friendly beaches and supermarkets. We will definitely be returning.

Honey Buzzard barn is a beautiful place to stay with a wonderful kitchen, spacious and warm living area, luxurious bathroom and comfy bedrooms.

The location was perfect for our needs, being near enough to the north Norfolk coast and towns for easy access while very quiet with paths for dog walking right on the doorstep. Lovely owners on site who welcomed us on arrival, were available if needed but not at all intrusive. We appreciated the welcome pack and the Christmas tree was a lovely touch. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

On arrival We were greeted by Alistair and he was very helpful and told us that if we needed anything to just knock on their door, my daughter arrived shortly after us and Catherine greeted them and couldn't have been more welcoming.

The barn conversion is very warm and comfortable with oil fired under floor heating and all the facilities you need for an enjoyable stay. There's even a multi fuel (coal/logs) burner in the living room but we didn't need to use it. The bathroom has a roll top bath with shower combi tap attached, separate shower cubicle and heated towel rail. The Kitchen has a fridge freezer, full range electric cooker, microwave, washing machine and dish washer to make your stay a pleasure. The Bedrooms are warm and cosy, one double and one twin room. The conversion is a perfect mix of comfort and old world charm still has the quirky oak beams, exposed brickwork and the reclaimed high bay lighting used is from Frank Whittle's Estate, the sole inventer of the jet engine, and having worked on commercial jet engines myself was a neat little touch. There is a safe enclosed courtyard for children or dogs but although the listing says 'enclosed garden' it is just a courtyard, but that didn't detract from our stay. The location is perfect, well placed within easy reach of shops, pubs etc. and the Langham glass shop and glass blowing workshops is well worth a visit and is about 15min drive. Sandringham and Holkham beach are also about 45min away and a must visit. We really enjoyed our stay, even though many places were closed in November it's still a lovely area and we'll probably return earlier in the year at some time. Thank you again Alistair and Catherine for a lovely stay.

We were so pleased to book this lovely barn as we were let down with another property at the last minute.

I must say what a wonderful place to stay in. Everything from our first impression from our first day to our last was more than we could have imagined. Lovely big lounge with two new sofas. Very comfortable beds, large kitchen and big bathroom with a shower and a bath with lots of hot water. Underfloor heating, always cozy and warm as it was October. Our two dogs, Beau & Pip loved the open space outside with some lovely walks to keep them happy. Everything was of top quality, and all built by Alistair the owner. What a wonderful job he’s done with Catherine doing all the other things. Would love to stay again.

Just returned from our 5th stay at the Barn.

.....warm welcome, as usual, and a catchup with Catherine and Alistair. Well equipped and cosy, the place is so familiar now, it feels very homely.......the weather was a mixed bag, and one day we were confined to barracks by heavy rain, but it was nice to just sit and read and relax. It is central for the N Norfolk Coast and the Nature Reserves Thank you Catherine and Alistair......we will return in 2023.....

I would give five stars to the actual accommodation but dropped one star due to the fact that there was a slight misrepresentation in the description of the property, in that there was a very, very small garden on the property.

Described as a private garden, the actual garden was a small area fenced off in front of the property. Also the courtyard was facing a six foot high brick wall with no view at all. I had wanted a large garden for my GSD dog. Somewhat disappointed, but the owners did allow access to farmland which compensated for the lack of garden.

Fantastic two weeks at this beautiful barn conversion, the owners have thought of everything!

A very quiet and comfortable holiday cottage in a beautiful part of Norfolk.

Cottage clean, pretty well equipped, and with plenty of space. Owners living next door very friendly and helpful without being at all intrusive. The main downside is the lack of views and the limited outdoor space. That did not bother us and we would certainly stay there again.

Alastair and Catherine have been lovely hosts, kindly ensuring my mother and I were settled in ok and letting us know we could contact them anytime.

The barn was beyond our expectations, so beautifully decorated and has such a homely feel. The barn is spacious and light, with so much attention given to the furnishings and finishing touches. All rooms are exactly as the description given. The barn is secluded and private , the road the barn is on is very very quiet, the cottage is situated so close to so many lovely places. We highly recommend this beautiful barn

We had a fantastic time staying at Honey Buzzard, we chose it as we have dogs and it was safe and secure for them .

But the fascilities the Barn had were excellent, lots of room in the kitchen and the lounge the bedrooms were great and the bathroom was excellent. So easy to find and secure parking we were really impressed with it. Thank you.

Rural location so as you would imagine a bit of a drive to get to pubs and restaurants however very near to lots of attractions and places of interest.Great for dogs secure and no problem if they bark a bit (no close neighbours). Every thing we hoped for except the weather sadly ( but it was the beginning of April).

A most enjoyable holiday in a spacious, clean and comfortable cottage which was ideally located for our daily trips out around the area.

Well described on the Sykes website and easily found following the directions given. Beware however if returning from the other direction as we did one day, as you need to travel through Fulmodeston and Croxston to reach the cottage which I would describe as on the outskirts of Croxston. Small issue, not a problem after the first experience.

Beautiful barn conversion, clean and cosy, with a lovely log burner.

It had an enclosed area for our dog so no need to worry about a possible escape! The owners were helpful and kind, and had left us a lovely welcome pack with tea and coffee, milk and brownies! I also enjoyed attempting to play the piano! The property is surrounded by wonderful countryside, with lots of walks from the doorstep.

Very noisy road and all traffic could be heard.

Washing machine inside door seal and powder tray was very dirty, we had to clean this before the one only wash we did. Excellent secure areas for our two dogs. Barn conversion itself, very lovely with lots of features and all tastefully done. Just about everything we needed was provided for and a nice small touch of tea, coffee & sugar and milk in the fridge. Water and heating was adequate and we did have to utilise the multi fuel burner one night as it was very cold. Honey Buzzard Barn, lives up to it`s name as there are plenty of Buzzards and other varieties of wild birds to see easily. Once off the quite dangerous road, there were some good walk areas, however, and unfortunately, we picked the wrong week as it rained every day of our break.

The barn Is absolutely stunning so comfortable under floor heating was bliss, owners so friendly and helpful Perfect location we will definitely be revisiting

Our second visit to Honey Buzzard Barn, and it was as comfortable, well-equipped and welcoming as our first.

On our return in 2019, as we were so pleased with the accommodation, we booked 2 more stays....April 2020 and October 2020, but due to the Covid crisis, the earlier one has been transferred to April 2021. On arrival there was a "welcome basket" with tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits, and milk in the fridge. It is close to the coast and there are walks from the Barn. Covid permitting we will be back in 2021.....April and October.

Great cottage.

Ideal for a holiday with a small dog.

The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable.

Being on one level helped with those who were not as able as others when walking around. The cottage is well sited for many of the enjoyable places to visit around Norfolk. A great place to stay.

A beautiful Barn conversion, clean, peaceful and well presented.

The only slightly negative thing was one of the sofas was very uncomfortable to sit on for a decent amount of time, however we really enjoyed our stay. It was perfectly positioned for everything we wanted to visit and lovely to come back to in the evenings.The owners were on hand if needed and couldn't have been more accommodating. A truly amazing Barn conversion.

A lot of thought has been put into making this lovely, well-equipped cottage comfortable and welcoming for guests.

Everything you need in the way of practical items is supplied which has not always been the case in past holiday cottages we have stayed in. The village shop was closed when we arrived so we expected to have to go to Morrisons, it was such a relief, after a long journey, to find milk in the fridge and a welcome-pack of coffees, tea, sugar and biscuits (not forgetting dog biscuits for our dog). Rooms are all spacious and cosy. We particularly liked being able to leave the patio door open so our dog could wander out into the small, secure, private courtyard. There is also a small patch of grass in front of the cottage. Many paths around the immediate vicinity are ideal for walking dogs or just for taking a leisurely stroll. The area itself is beautiful with plenty places to visit including Stately Homes and gardens, pretty villages, nature reserves and the coast. The cottage has been lovingly renovated with many unique features and great attention to detail. The owners, next door, are friendly and genuinely wish to please their guests. We will be back and would like to thank the owners for this chance to stay in such a great cottage in this beautiful area.

Fabulous accommodation but I would say it allowed dogs, rather than welcomed them and there is a huge difference.

Paved courtyard not particularly welcoming for either canine or human while I 'get' it is low maintenance from a business perspective it is not a very engaging environment and therefore we did not use it. A hanging basket or planter would be a nice touch. If you allow dogs, for ours grass is a requirement which we know realise.

This has been by far the nicest holiday cottage we have ever stayed at, extremely comfy beds, large living accommodation, beautiful inside, everything is well thought out and just works!

We were close to a lot of places yet felt in a quiet and peaceful location, we feel fantastic for our week in Norfolk at this lovely holiday cottage that has been lovingly built by the owners. We loved it so much we rebooked for next year to ensure we were able to return, absolutely fantastic, thank you so much. Also really enjoyed the James Bond DVDs which were a brilliant surprise after a busy day exploring. The shower is powerful and the underfloor heating a real luxury, thank you for a lovely week!

Honey Buzzard cottage was excellent on many features, but photographs showed an expanse of enclosed yard, which in reality was small.

The owners have replaced table and chairs with new ones which although good quality takes up even more space. A lane adjoining the cottage is brilliant for giving our two dogs an excellent walk, but not ideal at 7am in the morning. Nearby beaches were faultless and cottage is ideally situated in a quiet lane. Although a welcome pack was very generous, the owners did not make an appearance all week, instead chose to leave a welcome note, a first for us!

The cottage was massive, and very comfortable.

If i had to complain about something the only thing would be the lack of outside space. Whilst the courtyard is lovely, i had three dogs with me, they were reluctant to do there business out there, they prefer to have a little grass to pee on. Perhaps a little bit of astro turf would help with that.

One of the best cottages we have been in for 30 odd years,fully enjoyed the experience and holiday,cannot fault the accommodation,will go again.

This cottage was everything we could have wished for, from the beautiful location to the fantastic facilities.

A holiday we hope to repeat again in the near future.

The location of the property was great away from the main road it was so quiet, the owners live across the drive so if you needed anything all you had to do was ask

Would highly recommend Honey Buzzard barn for its comfort, facilities and attention to detail.

Location too was excellent, providing ease of travelling to many of Norfolks holiday features.

Lovely warm comfortable cottage and so much room for 4 people.

Finished to a very high standard. The owners ( next door) bought us a radio when we said we could do with one in the kitchen. Fairly isolated ( 1 mile to nearest pub and shop), but didn’t feel like a problem as north Norfolk coast within easy driving/cycling distance. Brilliant holiday. Would highly recommend
