Northgate Ground Floor Flat

The cleanliness of the property was not up to the standard we expected, the garden was overgrown ad full of weeds nothing like in the picture on line, at this point we did contact the owner who offered to send cleaners etc in, but we declined as we were already in and our holiday had started.

However during our stay the following "faults" were noted, Kitchen tap loose on sink, kitchen blind drive broken, Bathroom lights two of the four work intermittent the shower riser bar loose on the wall. Bedroom bling would not go up so bedroom always dark (note left to say this was a problem that they are aware of) double mattress left propped up in side of bedroom. There was no cleaning materials, dishcloth or washing up liquid left in the accommodation. As much as we like Hunstanton we could not go back to Northgate again.

Unfortunately I was rushed into hospital a few days before our due visit so we were unable to use the booking.

Husband contacted owners who were very understanding, confirming if things changed we could come down at any time. Unfortunately I was not released from hospital until the Friday.

We found the flat ideal for us.

It was well maintained/clean, and everything we needed was there. It was in a quiet residential area but very close to the town's amenities and the seafront promenade. If we visit Hunstanton again we would definitely stay there , and would recommend it as a comfortable flat in which to spend your holiday.

Extremely quiet location within close walking distance to beach shops and pubs.

Will definitely be coming back.

Lovely base to visit North norfolk.

Be that walking, bird watching or just exploring great facilities and close to all local amenities and beach. I have used this property several times now and would use again

Great location which was our main reason for staying for a second time but it's also a very comfortable, very clean and well-equipped flat with decent parking and outside space (if weather permits!

We love this flat, its so comfortable and makes you feel at home.

I had to cancel my January stay due to ill health, it was nice to fine that we could book a Wednesday to Wednesday break before my next lot of treatment starts next week. The flat is warm and has what we need. We do like having two sofas, one each to spread out on. A rug to cover myself up in when watching the TV. Having the off road parking is a must for us. We will be back again as soon as we can. We were so lucky with the weather. First night we walked to the pub without our coats that was a first for the year. We had a lovely sunset. We have had a great week.

Second time staying at this property.

Lovely clean and comfortable close and to all the amenities. Ideal base for exploring north norfolk be that walking or bird watching as its very close to several nature reserves i would definitely use this property again

We have stayed at this flat many times now and love it.

The best bit are the comfortable lounge, with two sofas. We like having one each. We had the heating on in the evenings and found it to be great. The lounge got hot quickly. The bed is also comfortable. Having off road parking is a must for us. Only a two minute walk to the shops, pubs and restaurants. Its not far to walk to the sea front. We had a nice walk along the sea front one of the days. Its flat and easy to do with cafes and pop up take aways. The front door is green not blue as in the pictures on the website.

Great alround flat

Again great stay at great alround flat for comfort cleanliness and position

Beyond comfort and cleanliness, the Flat offered more than we came to expect in what relates to the quality of all its internal contents.

+ We were within walking distance of everything we could possibly have needed (or wanted) while on holiday.

Property was very good, that good in fact that after two days we saw there was a slot in September available so we booked it.

Big mistake two days after returning home we received a voucher code for £40 off

A reasonably well presented and equipped flat.

Very close to the town centre with the bonus of its own car parking space. The bed is, however, rather small and at 4’3” wide is what is more accurately called a three quarter bed. Strangely there was a proper 4’6” double mattress propped up against the wall in the bedroom. The bed was rather hard and unforgiving for our taste. Dispute very good weather the garden was a little neglected so we didn’t use it. Overall a very enjoyable few days away.

We have had another great week at the flat and within Hunstanton area.

The new mattress made the bed very comfortable for us. This is the first time in a long time that we could sit outside in the garden because the weather was so kind to us. It was nice to relax in the garden with a pint and some crisps.

1st class flat clean comfortable and position excellent

My son and I really enjoyed the relaxing stay at Northgate.

It was close to amenities and central base to travel around North Norfolk. Although the entrance hall was being decorated - the worker was really nice and friendly. One minor thing if I was staying for any longer I would have liked some cupboard space to put food. My son really enjoyed the beach and how close we were to it. We would definitely stay here again.

Its a great flat, we have been several times and would not stay anywhere else.

The only thing i would say is that we had problems with the internet. When we tried to get ITVX it kept saying no internet when the hub is next to the TV. It did work after a while but was a bit of a pain. I find the kitchen to be a bit on the dark side when wanting to cook another light would be a great addition. The new mattress was very comfortable and having a throw kept us nice and warm over night.

Lovely apartment very handy for the town and beach and with parking .

However unfortunately lack of maintenance both the central heating and the gas fire did not work on arrival . I contacted the owner and was told to buy new batteries for the heating I was not impressed with that so she said she would send her cleaners to have a look . Due to the time of day I decided to purchase new batteries . I was refunded And I had the central heating working before the cleaners arrived but the gas fire would not work . Not really the way to start a holiday in October . Re cleaning the apartment was clean but unfortunately the rear patio door to the bedroom and the kitchen door and window were very dirty and the nice little rear garden was full of weeds and finally the double bed was very small and extremely uncomfortable I feel all of the above could be sorted very easily and then it would be a first class apartment for holidays and return business.

We have yet another great stay at this flat.

Its comfortable and very pleasant. Its great having parking in front of the flat and off the road. Lounge is a nice size and we love having two sofa's, one each to relax on at the end of the day. Well equipped kitchen.

disgusted leaking cold tap in kitchen NO washing up liquid provided but a drying up cloth!

!!! Also ONE part used toilet roll!!!! Windows are filthy. WiFi password incorrect Just as well the bed was comfortable otherwise we would have left.Would not stay here again

The flat was very disappointing.

On first sight the front step is crumbling and the door scruffy and ill fitting. The windows have not been cleaned either inside or out. The rear patio garden looks lovely on the photographs but in reality is overgrown, unkempt and scruffy. the garden furniture is covered in spiders' webs, leaves and debris. The slabs had not been swept. Not an inviting place to sit. Inside most surfaces appeared clean but light fittings, especially in the kitchen were dusty. The wardrobe was linked on both sides to the alcove walls with large cobwebs, as was the rubbish bin. In the lounge the soft furnishings are very tired. More light is needed in the dark tiled bathroom to be able to use the mirrors and the towels are of very poor quality. The flat has been fitted with a new bathroom and kitchen and these are the best features. The flat is in an ideal location for all Hunstanton's amenities, but it is not value for money and I would not recommend it's use in it's present condition.

Excellent location, just a short stroll to the sea front and shops.

Good size parking space. Spacious, clean, well furnished rooms. Plenty of storage for toiletries in bathroom (unlike a lot of places we've stayed!!!) Good garden with choice of table and chairs or 'settee' type seating. Think our only 'complaint' is that the vegetable peeler blade kept coming away from the handle - small potatoes so to speak!!!!

Furniture in lounge a bit ‘tired’. Kitchen and bathroom lovely although the bathroom hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned; talcum powder in the bath and on the tiles. Double bed was poor quality but comfortable enough. No dishwasher and no tumble drier or line to dry clothes. The owners provided bed linens and towels but, unfortunately the towels were very damp when we arrived. We assumed this was from being laundered but it was a real problem as we had no way of drying them. We emailed the owners with these comments but have received no response. Overall though it’s a great place.

I would like to thank the owner for acting on the request's we made from our last stay in January.

We have stayed here several times now and find the flat to be clean, comfortable and homely. Its great having your own parking space and being in the heart of Hunstanton. We will be staying here again later in the year.

This property is very clean, well equipped, warm and comfortable.

The location is very good, 5 minutes walk to the shops and the beach and about 10 minutes walk to the bus station where you can go to Kings Lynn or the other way to Wells next the sea, takes about an hour each way. Would use this place again.

We booked knowing there was a shed as we were bringing our cycles, however we were unable to get down the entry or open the gate.

Fortunately we were able to store cycles in front hallway without blocking entrance. Other than a wornout airer we had a lovely week away. Must say weather helped.

The furniture wasn't comfortable.

Rest was ok. It was nice that we could have the key contacless, so we could arrive at our own time. Environment is a pleasant surprise.

Ideal location for exploring the Norfolk coast & only 5mins from the sea front.

Comfortable accommodation, well equipped with everything needed for a short stay.

The property internally suffered from very dusty places ie.

bathroom cabinet, very dirty kitchen light. There were flies everywhere. The utility doors did not open hence we could not use the washing machine or the freezer. The external back yard had garden furniture which was covered in cobwebs, we don't expect to have to clean a place when we arrive to staying in it. The outside front needs a bit of TLC. Overly priced for the property.

Stayed in Northgate last year booked again as the location and car parking space are great.

The new bed was a lovely surprise and so slept much better,the garden was lovely and tidy compared to last year,would recommend it now

Beautiful apartment expect the bed was very disappointing too low uncomfortably memory foam mattresses duvet and bedding lining needs updating as the are very old, as we have family there we will be spending a lot of time at Hunstanton.

Would definitely stay there again if they change the bed and the lining. If you suffer with any arthritis then this bed would be no good for you

Its always clean and well presented. Having off road parking is a great asset. Its also close to the shops, restaurants and pubs.

Cosy, warm and comfortable flat.

A great base from which to go visit local nature reserves and to walk the Norfolk Coast path. A dustpan and brush would have been useful but other than that well equipped with instructions on how to use appliances which was great.

We have been to this flat a few times now and it never disappoints.

When you walk into the lounge it feel homely. Its clean, bright and warm. Very comfortable. Infact the whole of the flat is very comfortable. We will diffently be staying again.

Ideal location for exploring Hunstanton and the surrounding area. There were a couple of areas needing improvement: the side access to the garden area was unusable due to the accumulation of bird droppings and the outside of the windows were very dirty which spoilt the overall feel of the flat.

Loved the flat , very spacious and everything you need for a comfortable stay , outside area a bonus as is car parking space .

Height of bed not a problem for us but could do with new quilt cover and mattress protecter. Many thanks.

What a lovely surprise this apartment was!

Booked last minute with Sykes who were amazing at helping out with queries. The apartment is in a perfect location for us, and the bonus of having a generous sized parking space on the driveway, which fitted our large 4x4 with ease. The apartment was great! On the ground floor so has the added benefit of the back yard space with the sun in the morning. It was a very cute space with a large double bedroom (could fit another put up bed in there as well if required) and a double sofa bed in the lounge. Kitchen and bathroom were beautifully fitted out and had everything you could need for your stay including essentials in the cupboards for cooking. The owners were very quick to resolve a small query at the beginning of our stay which was most appreciated. All in all, it was great! We will stay here again in the future.

Very clean, well decorated, and very well located.

Plenty of utensils, crockery and cutlery. Kitchen is excellent. Bathroom is excellent too. Living room is spacious and very pleasant. Would just like a bigger, longer double bed as footboard and surround are a little uncomfortable.

The only complaint we had was the bed was too low to the floor we think this should be pointed out on your details as anyone like myself who suffers with knee problems has difficulty getting in and out good job we had a blanket in the car as I had to sleep on the sofa

Lovely spacious ground floor flat with good outside space, however, general cleanliness let it down.

Communal hallway inside main front door very dirty, dirty carpet, cobwebs etc. Paint flaking off the wall inside flat door, windows very dirty, lots of cobwebs above blinds in bedroom. Shower head dirty and only operates at lukewarm temperature. Outside garden area full of weeds and grass uncut, garden furniture covered in bird muck. Utility room unswept and washing machine not clean. Lovely location, such a shame about the cleanliness.

On entering the apartment we were met with 2 bags full of dirty laundry left it till evening thinking it would be collected it wasn't so put it outside in the little hallway it was still there when we left 7 days after.

The bed was far too low like sleeping on floor,cobwebs everywhere even in kitchen and bathroom so not cleaned right,settees could do with upgrade one cushion had food stuck to it.Outside chairs had to be cleaned before we could use them.Its in a great location for everywhere but that's about all it's good for.Would have booked again but not in the state it's in

The location of the apartment was excellent.

Facilities both in the apartment and nearby was also superb. The only drawback was the bed. Despite a very spacious bedroom the bed is a standard double but with the mattress set within the bed frame with a footboard it meant you felt squashed. If you are 6ft taller or more this may be even more of an issue. The bed is also very very low and would perhaps present difficulties for less able visitors. We found the mattress somewhat uncomfy but this may be just us. Other than that a great place to stay.

Lovely Flat in a great location.

Good to have extras on the tv. If I had to give a bad comment it would be the bed, It was to low for us and not enough support in the pillows (But each to their own).

We have stayed at this flat a few times now and find it very comfortable.

Having its own parking place is great. Its right outside the front door. The flat is well placed for the town. Many a day were got back to the flat in the dark and found having the outside light very useful, it meant we could get things out of the boot and then see the steps to get into the flat. Thank you for putting up a light. Also I have to say the heating in the flat is very good, when we got back at the end of the day we put it on and it did not take long to heat up the flat, we were very comfortable. We are looking forward to our next stay.

Excellent stay in Hunstanton.

Flat was warm, comfortable and well equipped. Very clean and welcoming Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. One small point we found shower a little cool.

This is the second time we have stayed at this flat and would stay again.

Hopefully next year. Its nice and comfortable. We love having two settee with plenty of room around them. The place is clean and fresh. I would like to make a sugestion. When we came back in the dark I could not see the steps. So I think a light that comes on as you arrive would be good. As the place has three flats i am not sure how you get on to arrange this.

The location of the flat is prefect, literally a small walk to the shops and the sea.

The flat has some great facilities, new kitchen and bathroom, however the cleanliness was a let down. I had to get the hoover out not long after arriving as there were lots of hairs in the carpet which wasn't great with the kids playing on the floor. Also the sofa needed a hoover as when we were looking for the sofa bed again bits and hairs under the cushions. The instructions say the bedding for the sofa bed should be in the wooden box in the living room, but it wasn't I had to find it myself, could be worth updating the instructions or making sure it's where it says it is. The sofa bed not very comfy so bear that in mind if 4 adults are staying. Someone previously mentioned the kettle leaking and we had the same issue, could be worth a upgrade. Also I couldnt find a pizza cutter which would be useful. We had a great week and a great beach to visit was brancaster, beautiful beach and plenty of parking. Location is prefect and the flat is great with the added bonus of a drive to park on. The flat has most things you need just the cleanliness that let it down for us.

Flat was in a quite location but central to everything in Hunstanton.

It was well equipped, spacious and cool. Great furnishings, Wi-fi and netflix. Easy key collection instructions etc. We had an excellent time. Thank you.

We were really glad we’d held out for somewhere with decent outside space as the weather was warm and sunny and we sat outside a lot.

The advertising details were spot on, the flat has all you would need, and is really well located in a quiet position, but near the beach, shops and cafes. The owner responded quickly when contacted.

Property is in a lovely central location, minutes away from the beach and shops plus assorted bars and restaurants.

Parking space provided was invaluable. Property has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. Issue with limited saucepans was quickly rectified by the owner. Access is through the back door due to COVID restrictions, only issue with this is the pigeons nesting in the guttering. Owners have clearly done what they can to eradicate them with spikes on all available ledgers. Overall an excellent property and would recommend to family and friends.

The flat was well procented, clean and comfortable.

Generally well appointed only let down by lack of cookware, (only saucepan of any type was a steamer) made meal preparation changling.
