“We have stayed at Troon two years ago and found that the property had deteriorated slot since then.”
Various areas need attention and smartening up. The sea grass carpet throughout is either ripped or frayed and dangerous in some parts, especially where there is a hole on one of the stair treads.
The paintwork in one of the bathrooms is peeling from the ceiling and the flooring around the radiator dirty and cracked.
There is little or no serving bowls - just two plastic bowls. The cleanliness was dreadful throughout.

Hi Isobel
Thank you for the feedback.
We continue to invest significantly in the upkeep of Troon Cottage, and the peeling paint in the en-suite is already scheduled for repair.
The carpet has been chosen for its durability in a pet-friendly holiday let, and some edge fraying is typical for this type of carpet. The property is also well stocked with plates, bowls, and cups.
I would appreciate some clarification regarding your comment that "the cleanliness was dreadful throughout." Recent guest feedback has been very positive, with the most recent review describing the property as "spotlessly clean," so any specific details would be greatly appreciated and will be passed on to the cleaning team for review."
Kind Regards
Jason
