Lovely comfortable cottage everything you needed for a great stay .

A really lovely cottage.

You can see the care that has been taken with everything in there. Really comfy settee and bed. Ideally placed for visiting west Norfolk. We would visit again.

We loved our stay at Bertelle.

The cottage was warm and welcoming and fitted out with everthing you could possibly need, a real home from home. Must mention the comfy beds, had the best nights sleep. We found that the cottage is wonderfully situated for exploring North and East Norfolk and the local amenities in Grimston and Gayton and Kings Lynn were great. Thankyou for a wonderful stay, we would definately like to stay again to do more exploring.

We found the cottage well equipped, mostly clean and comfortable. We have put some comments in the suggestion book as requested. Unfortunately, we stayed during a cold spell and the 'Eco' heating was insufficient for us. We felt cold the whole week. Our favourite eateries were Marriotts Warehouse, South Quay, Lynn and The Dabbling Duck at Great Massingham. Very good food, friendly staff and a good atmosphere.

A lovely cottage with good quality and comfortable furnishings and fittings.

Many small and thoughtful things provided. We would have liked a vacuum that worked or a dustpan and brush so that we could have cleaned up some mud that got walked in to the utility room.

Enjoyed our stay at Bertelle cottage which had spacious accommodation, provided everything we needed & was ideally located for the coast, local towns & sight seeing.

Although the weather was not great, it was lovely to return in the afternoon to a warm and cosy 'home from home'. As usual everything was there to ensure a relaxing and restful break. Good spot to visit the local area. The Three Horseshoes in Roydon is well worth a visit. The food was very good and the prices were very reasonable. We recommend that you book as it can get very busy. I'm sure that we will return again.

Our second stay at Bertelle which we enjoyed immensely.

The location offers easy access to the North Norfolk Coast which offers lovely flat walking, especially charming at a less touristy time of year.

Lovely and clean.

Slight problem with plumbing in that the toilet didn't have a good flush. Good location for sightseeing but being between 2 quite busy roads with no real frontage or back garden (just courtyard) meant it could be quite noisy. This was particularly noticeable as it was exceptionally hot and so needed every window open! Grateful that there were 2 large floor fans in the property & we used one! Overall a very pleasant cottage.

Everything thoughtfully provided. Very clean and comfortable. Really quiet area. Shop nearby and really good pub about a mile away. There is a local bus which goes to Kings Lynn every hour if you want to leave the car.

Great cottage in a beautiful part of the country.

Cottage had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Village lovely very handy shop 2mins away. Great location for exploring we visited sandringham, holkham, hunstanton, cromer and spent alot of time crabbing at blakeney point. Would definitely recommend this cottage to others

Good base for exploring. Many thanks to Christine and Vanessa for getting our Italian coffee maker back to us which somehow got left behind! I’m sure we will be back again some time in the future. :-)

We booked as it listed an open fire.

.this is not operational and was a big disappointment as this was the primary reason for booking. So to find it not working was a massive disappointment. There was a very loveky welcome package which was much appreciated. However, the heating was very variable to control and even though the owner tried too remedy it. In the end the cold was too much (-3) & we made the decision too leave 2 days early. This, however, doesn't detract from the cottage as overall its beautifully done and well equipped. And a special thank you is extended to the owner Christine who was as helpful and kind as could be. A very lovely lady. The cottage is excellently placed and everywhere is within an easy reach

A cozy, high standard cottage in quiet village.

Ideal base to visit North Norfolk coast & tourist spots.

We appreciated the wine, biscuits, milk and crisps left for us although we consume only the last two.

The house was warm and very clean. The books and guides were useful.

Spacious and relaxing cottage.

Extremely comfortable beds - no trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. Everything there that you needed. Central to many other places, which by car didn't take too long to get to. We hope to go back at some time in the future. Glad we found Bertelle!

The cottage was very clean, well set out and well equipped . The welcome pack was very much appreciated. We loved how the house was decorated for Christmas and it all added to our festive holiday. The cottage is ideally located for visiting Sandringham and the roads were easy to navigate in the snow blizzard. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone visiting North Norfolk.

Very comfortable especially the super king size bed.

We had a great week at the property the weather could have been better but this time of the year is what you expect.

My wife and I plus our to grand children [boys aged 10] ventured out to different places to the coast Fakenham, Holt, Kings Lynn. The village is very quiet with a good health centre and a local shop about a 100 yards away. The property had everything you required and had good quality furnishings and appliances.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Bertelle.

Perfect little property found it very comfortable and in a great location.

Decor, furnishings, appliances, and overall cleanliness were all top-notch. Such a great location for exploring the area, we did all the tourist highlights and some lovely pubs close by. We found the parking more than adequate for our Polo, kitchen well equipped, and a nice welcome pack waiting on arrival. We will definitely stay here again.

All communication with the owner was excellent.

As there was an event at the time we were travelling she messaged to ensure we were aware which was really thoughtful. The information provided about the property was great and those who stayed felt the cottage was lovely.

The inside of Bertelle could not be faulted - clean, comfortable and cosy and well equipped and we had a lovely week at the cottage and in West Norfolk.

We just felt that the outside of the property could do with a little bit of tlc - weeds at the front, fences/walls could do with being painted at the rear but overall these are just minor improvements that would elevate this property to excellent in our opinion.

Very nice and comfortable cottage in a wonderful area of North West Norfolk.

Couple of extra tea towels would have been useful, and also a knife sharpener, but otherwise first class.

On arrival we did have a problem with the door lock which meant we couldn't gain immediate entry.

However after phoning the owners they responded immediately and sent someone quickly enabling us to gain entry. The owners were lovely and took prompt action to replace the lock & key and also pointed us in the direction of places to eat, visit & shop. As for the cottage we found it in perfect order and that everything needed was provided and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was excellent!

well placed for visiting West and North Norfolk. Only 15 mins from Kings Lynn and Sandringham, close to many nature reserves and Hunstanton. Would love to return in the future.

The whole holiday was great, the cottage was more than perfect, it had everything we could possibly need.

We like going walking so the utility room came in very handy as we had a few wet days so were able to dry our coats & boots etc. Certainly, we have it in our minds to return again in the future.

This was one of the nicest cottages we’ve stayed in.

Everything was perfect for us. The area was close to family whom we visit yearly so we are already looking at dates for our return next year. Thankyou.

This is a very comfortable property.

Convenient for all North Norfolk. There are a couple of pubs nearby who serve good food. There is a nearer Pub but that is closed and has been sold. Local shop within a couple of hundred yards. Parking is available but can be awkward and difficult to find upon arrival. After that - no problem.Property benefits from a spacious fridge, and well-equipped Kitchen. Looking forward to returning in Spring next year to visit the Nature Reserves.

Everything provided for a comfortable care free holiday.

Plenty of things to do when in the cottage - TV, music centre, DVDs. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking a 'proper' meal, not just to warm up takeaways - but you could if you wanted to. I would suggest providing a steamer set of pans to cut down on energy usage, but there were enough other pans to accommodate what were wanted to cook. Cottage is ideally placed to see the local attractions - Sandringham House and Gardens, Hunstanton, King's Lynn, Vancouver Gardens, Castle Acre Priory and Castle etc. All in all, this was a good find for our holiday cottage and we wouldn't hesitate to book the place again if visiting the area.

We had a lovely stay, the property was clean and comfortable, with a very nice taste in decor.

The kitchen had all you need in equipment with plenty of crockery and glasses, gin glasses most important, The owner was very nice and helpful,We would recommend this cottage highly, We hope to return.

Owners helpfully provided information on the local area (where there is so much to do), even providing an OS map with signed places of interest and good pubs and restaurants. The property was just perfect.

It was clean and comfortable, with lots of room to relax. Christine provided a number of thoughtful touches such as the welcome gift box, stair gate and booster seat for little ones. I can't think of anything that was missing. It was a perfect base for exploring great beaches, various walks and pretty villages. The village shop is very well stocked and is less than two minutes walk away. All in all, it was the perfect getaway, in a perfect property. Thank you for such a lovely time.

Found this place to be extremely clean, great quiet location, walks from the door with lots of wildlife to be seen.

The cottage is beautifully decorated, the beds are very comfortable and it's very quiet and peaceful.

It's also very well equipped with all mod cons.

Everything was great although I was a little concerned when I first drove up where to park but soon sorted it out.

Hope to rebook in the near furture

This cottage had everything what you would have at your own home.

It was comfortable well equipped, from the kitchen to the bedrooms. We had one small problem which the owner fixed very quickly, also the owner followed up the problem to make sure everything was OK. The cottage is in a nice little village, Grimston from here you can go in many directions to do all you sightseeing.

We loved our week at Bertelle, it was such a nice break away and we have very fond memories of our stay!

The house was extremely comfortable and very well-equipped. As a family of four we were able to relax and enjoy the local area. We would love to return and would highly recommend to others.

The accommodation was very good especially for people who are fit, healthy and have no mobility issues.

Can we suggest, that a sentence in the description of the property, states not suitable for people with mobility problems. When we booked this back in January, my mobility was not too bad, but over lockdown has deteriorated immensely. The stairs are steep and steps higher than the modern depth, and then having a further step up into the bedrooms, was quite difficult. We had to use the stair gate each night and leave the light on to advoid falling down the stairs whilst partially awake in the night. Also, the lounge seating was very low and impossible to get up from if your legs were weak. Having said this, the place was very well equipped, we just feel something should be stated in the details to avoid other people meeting these problems

Well placed for touring but nothing to do in the village

The house was absolutely perfect; spotlessley clean and exactly as shown in the pictures.

Everything appeared new and in full working order and the kitchen really did have everything you could need. A nice quiet village with easy access to all local routes - a short trip to the local supermarket and very close to Kings Lyn and the coast. The small shop in the village supplied just about everything you could think of. Lots of walks and cycle routes (off road) on the doorstep so no need to drive anywhere unless you want to.

We had the most perfect week at Bertelle's.

The cottage is perfectly presented with everything provided for our use. Can't speak highly enough of the quality of the decoration and appliances.

It's some years since we had a self catering cottage holiday, and how things have changed if this one is anything to go by.

Gone are the mismatching crockery and cutlery, the paper thin towels and poor equipment. The owners had thought of everything and provided it as if they were going to stay themselves. There was a welcome basket including a bottle of wine, Duchy biscuits, crisps and tea, coffee, sugar and milk, all of which were much appreciated. A comprehensive renters manual told us all we needed to know, and the OS map with local tourist attractions, pubs/restaurants and recommended routes marked on it was a touch of genius The kitchen was a dream to work, and the lounge/dining room was superbly comfortable. Upstairs both bedrooms were well beyond what we expected in terms of equipment and comfort. There was even room to stow the cushions out of the way (Bloke's comment!). In the bathroom there was a spacious separate shower as well as a huge bath Outside there was plenty of room to park and enjoy the evening sun, in fact the weather was so good we ate in the garden most nights. (Unfortunately we didn't figure out how to put the cover back on the sun umbrella without shinning up the pole. Hope the owner found it in the cushion storage box) The village store across the road is well stocked and reasonably priced. All in all this was a superb cottage

Location was great easy for visiting local area. Wine, eggs biscuits etc on arrival. Really lovely.

One of best cottages that we have had the experience to stay in.

So peaceful and well designed. Fully equipped leaving you so relaxed . We would normally want to find places to eat out, we fortunately found the cooker and oven were so good and easy to use that we eat in every night. The rooms are large, sofa and beds large and really comfortable. The owners are easily contactable. Thank you Richard and Christine.

Cleanest comfortable cottage we have stayed in and we've stayed in many.

The cottage was cozy and very comfortable so it was very welcoming after a busy day exploring the Norfolk countryside.

We went for lovely walks, visited Sandringham, Holt Railway and Blakeney Point to see the seals, all easy to reach from Bertelle. A very relaxing stay. Have recommended it to family and friends.
