“This is a delightful place to stay and the cottage is spacious and light, very comfortable and convenient, and the hosts Claire and Chris are friendly and very helpful.”
There was milk, bread, eggs and even vegetarian sausages waiting for us. The area is beautiful; wildlife is wonderful and it's there on the doorstep to enjoy, dark skies at hight, too, and the only traffic noise is the occasional train passing. You can walk out of the the driveway and enjoy the countryside immediately along the quiet roads and footpaths. Gissing church is very lovely, with its double hammer-beam angel roof and ancient carvings. Nearby is the romantic ruin of St Mary's ...

Gissing church is very lovely, with its double hammer-beam angel roof and ancient carvings. Nearby is the romantic ruin of St Mary's Tivetshall, now home to wildflowers and other wildlife. Diss is a pretty market town with a great bookshop, coffee shops (Flour and Bean is lovely) and plenty of other shops and cafes. We loved seeing hares in the fields around, and muntjac deer and of course birds aplenty. A joy.
Thank you so much for your lovely words and all the very helpful pointers for future guests. We are so pleaded you enjoyed a peaceful and sunny stay with us. Best wishes, Claire and Chris
