Bankside Cottage

We had a lovely week at Bankside.

The property is very well maintained and clean with a modern bathroom and kitchen. The lounge furniture was quite low and not terribly comfortable but otherwise a lovely place. We would definitely go back again.

Great accommodation, Great location we would definitely return in the future.

Enclosed garden was great for our dog and hopefully bottom end of garden will be opened up in the future so even more space. We will definitely return

We had a lovely stay at Bankside Cottage to celebrate my wife's bithday.

The bungalow was welcoming, wih all the equipment you could need for a self catering holiday, the owners provided a great welcoming pack and provisions could be found in shops in the village, the beach was only a short walk from the bungalow. We would reccomend this property to anyone , that is looking for a relaxing break in a home from home.

Beds sooo comfy and the shower was heavenly in the heatwave. Steve the owner was always on hand to answer questions, we will be back. Only downside was the back garden obviously having work done but will be lovely when it's done

Bankside is a lovely holiday home, with a safe enclosed garden.

It was spotlessly clean with everything you need for your stay, plus a welcome pack, a very nice touch. It is in a great area with a dog friendly beach just five minutes walk away. There are lots of other places to visit, mostly just a short drive from Bankside. West Norfolk pub does very nice food and is dog friendly. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay and will probably return. The only little problem we had, which had nothing to do with the property was the living room seating was quite low. That is entirely down to us and our age!

Lovely clean and extremely comfortable place to stop.

Had everything we needed for a week away . It is walking distance to the beach and has a lovely walk into Hunstanton along the beach. Couple of local pubs very close to the place. The bungalow is in a very quiet area which was just ideal for us . Would highly recommend .

5 min walk to beach or local amenities. Very clean and tidy accommodation. Taken a advertising card for possible future returns.

The property was lovey and bright, very clean and contained high quality furnishings and fittings.

The beds were super-comfy - didn't really want to get up in the mornings! Somewhere to hang coats would be good especially when it's been raining and you return with wet ones. We spent our time in the conservatory which was really warm on sunny days even if the temperature outside wasn't. Our dog loved sprawling out in the sun-spots. The only downside was the garden where there is some kind of building work going on and so half of it was cordoned off which made the grass area quite small. No work actually took place while we were there but the sight of a cement mixer and building supplies at the end of the garden wasn't exactly what we were expecting. There were no pictures of the garden in the literature - maybe that was why? Heacham village is lovely. Both pubs were very inviting and I would highly recommend the food and service in the West Norfolk Inn which is about a 3 minute walk from the cottage. We didn't eat in the Fox and Hounds so can't comment on their food or service but the pub itself and the bar staff were great.

We will return. Spotlessly clean and so comfortable. Lots to see and do all around. Many thanks for a great stay.

Great location within easy walking distance from the beach.

Slightly longer walk to the local shops with a choice of takeaways and convenience stores. Visiting in the winter and at Christmas means many local businesses do have different hours however the hours shown on Google seemed right. We could always find suitable refreshments when required. The property has a useful secure garden, even if our dog seemed unimpressed. However the large conservatory met her approval and she loved rolling on the mat! There are a very high number of dogs in the area, however the owners are responsible and understanding. Our dog is not dog friendly, but everyone understood and behaved kindly to her.

We were looking to book a short break close to the beach and local amenities where we could relax and not have to rely on the car.

Bankside Cottage is in a great location. The property exceeded our expections having ample parking, a good sized garden which was secure for our dog, and a large conservatory. The property was spotless, well equipped and comfortable. The welcome touch from the owners was much appreciated.

I loved the stay at Bankside Cottage (with my Assistance Dog) which was furnished to a very high standard and very clean.

The decor was lovely with the bed being very comfortable and warm. Everything had been thought of with the added touch of tea, biscuits, milk and a bottle of wine. The grass area at the back was ideal for pet comfort. The local pub (The West Norfolk) was only a few minutes walk away and did excellent meals. It rated as the best holiday ever and would love to return

This lovely bungalow was perfect for our needs We wanted a dog friendly detached place and we found it.

The garden is enclosed and well lit at night and the very large conservatory is a joy to sit in especially on a sunny day. The beds are comfortable and the linen of very good quality. Lots of extra touches were left for us after a 3 hour journey and were much appreciated. The area is very friendly for dog walkers as the sea is only 8 mins walk away. Children would love this property too

Place was easy to find.

It was clean and tidy and comfortable. Nice to have milk in the fridge along with tea and coffee so you can make a drink when you get there. Nice size garden and patio to sit out in. Beach is a short walk and there was a little cafe open. Very short drive in to Hunstanton.

Bungalow was very nice but there were no instructions re heating or recycling.

A couple of nights were chilly. Also a heated towel rail in the bathroom would be good along with hooks on the back of doors.

On arrival we were greeted by a complimentary bottle of wine, milk tea etc .

The bungalow shown signs of newness and fresh cleanliness, the furnitings were very comfy. We spent most time in the more than spacious conservatory. Outside , although obvious work in progress was a sun trap and well secure for our adventurous JRT! The town itself was very nice and not far to the seafront. The nearest pub was only a short stroll away. Bus's are plenty to head of to Hunstanton etc. Sandringham is a great visit as is Cromer , Sheringham and Wells also the lavender centre. Hunstanton has plenty for all and good quality eateries, being coeliac I find it difficult sometimes. Henrys chippy is 5 star for gf fish and chips. We met the owner who popped over to resolve a minor issue. Overall a great relaxing break (apart from the morning cockerel) near to the bungalow, and would return.
