“We have just returned from a 4 night stay at this lovely cottage.”

It is cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The enclosed garden was great for our dog. We were lucky with the weather so we sat out in the garden in evening - it’s a great little sun trap ☀️! It’s also in a good location for visiting the Broads and the fantastic beaches nearby. There is a pub straight across the road with very friendly locals (food there ok - not great). Thank you to the owners for a lovely stay.

“The cottage itself was beautiful and located perfectly for all amenities.”

The space was ideal for us and our dog. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. We were disappointed to find a shower curtain instead of the screen as shown in the photographs. We would not have chosen to stay knowing this. We deliberately chose this cottage for this, as most cottages have shower curtains and this one didnt. We found the bin instructions, but they didn't actually cover our dates of stay. We put out what everyone else had. It was a shame the tv didn't work on normal channels, however we could access the app channels easily. Despite these small issues we had a lovely stay.

Hello. Thank you for your feedback. We think it's beautiful too. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience of the shower curtain. We will review how best to remedy this. The terrestrial signal means that you can't get a clear picture for more than a few seconds at a time unfortunately. All the channels are accessible via the pre-downloaded APPs and I'm pleased you could navigate this easily. My apologies for the bin sheet. I hope the email sent prior to your arrival identified which bin week it was. We will get a new print out and double check all dates are covered. “Lovely cottage and gardens .”

Just a couple of negative things for us. 1. Not having the channels on the T.V , we found having to download the app for each channel was very inconvenient and No.2 the shower was in a very strange position, like right in the corner which made us feel that we could not shower properly and the shower curtain was very annoying but this is personal to us as we are used to a glass screen . Oh and no tea towel for the kitchen, ee did not bring one as it said towels were supplied. And not having control with the heating. It was very cold a few nights we was there , my husband tried to go by the instructions in the book to boost the heating but to no avail . The cottage is in a ideal position for using as a base to go off to other coastal areas I.e Caister, Cromer, Yarmouth. All in all we had a good holiday .

Thank you for talking the time to leave feedback for us. Yes, the terrestrial channels are so very glitchy that it makes viewing almost impossible. It's a much better experience using the Smart TV internet capabilities. There is also a guide which gives step by step instructions on how to do this if it's unfamiliar. Yes, when we renovated our cottage, we took it on advice that this was the best location for the shower for a variety of reasons. It has it's drawbacks, which included having to change the shower screen for a curtain after installing the tall radiator because of how it hinged. Please accept my apologies for the missing tea towel. It is included and I expect the cleaner forgot to leave a new one out. I will remind the cleaning team about this, thank you. For the heating, if you ever find yourself unable to adjust the heating in any holiday property, please do inform the owners/Sykes straight away. In this case, we could have adjusted this remotely via wifi for you. It's good to know you were unable to boost it. We can review the instruction in the pack to see if we can clarify further. “A fantastic cottage which is really clean and tidy.”

The garden is enclosed and very pet friendly. Being in the village means it's very quiet (which suited us) but only a 7 minute walk to shops and no more than 15 to beach,arcades and restaurants. 10 out of 10 stay, cheers.

“The only thing was that the sun through the kitchen window over the sink was blinding in the evening especially if sitting on the sofa or working at the sink.”

“We had a five night stay at 3 The Cottages Hemsby.”

This is one of the best cottages we have stayed in. The cottage is immaculately clean and has everything you could need. Very comfortable beds, good quality towels provided. The enclosed garden was lovely to sit in and was ideal for our Labrador. We will definitely return to this property again for a future break, the location is excellent for exploring the coast, with a pub across the road, which sells very nice food and is dog friendly. I couldn’t fault this cottage it had everything we needed. We travelled with our twelve year old granddaughter, who did mention a couple of things, she would have liked a mirror in the twin room and a blind /curtain on the bathroom window, but very minor things, she said the bed was the comfiest she had slept on. We hope to stay again soon.

I overlooked the need for a mirror in the twin room but you are absolutely right. This will be remedied as soon as possible. I fully understand the request for a blind/curtain in the bathroom. It's location would mean that it would be wet most of the time and likely to attract mould. This is the primary reason we decided against it but I completely understand her point. I am confident that privacy is maintained without the blind but we will look for any other work-arounds based on this feedback. We would be thrilled to welcome you back if you chose to stay again. Hemsby is a very quiet village,the cottage is a short 20 minute walk to the beach and amusement arcades and over the road from the local pub,that does excellent food. A great enclosed garden for our small dog also.

“The cottage is fantastic.”

On arrival it was extremely clean and very nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of drawers to store belongings. The welcome pack was very informative and gave a lot of ideas on what to do in the area. The cottage had everything we needed for self catering which was great and the owners had taken into consideration previous feedback from other occupiers to make staying there more comfortable. We loved the village and spent a great week exploring the area. We even hired a boat for 3 hours and picnicked on the broads which was excellent. On colder evenings the log fire was perfect to relax in front of. All in all this was a fantastic holiday and would highly recommend a stay here.

“The house was exactly as described.”

Very pleasant, extremely clean, all key pieces available in the house. Location was good and we easily made our way to nearby beaches Hemsby and Great Yarmouth. We also visited Cromer which was 50 mins away. Beds were comfy and bathroom nice and clean with a decent shower. Quiet location and certainly not disturbed, even though pub was only 100 yards away. Very enjoyable stay. Lounge sofas could be a tad comfier but otherwise all good.

“Overall we really enjoyed our stay, thank you.”

It is very family friendly and there were some lovely touches like the nightlight, toys and childrens kitchenware which were lovely additions. The garden was great too! The only additional thing which could be useful was an clothes airer and some pegs for the washing line (apologies if there were there & I missed them). The fridge just needed an additional wipe (but was lovely & big) and there was some pet hair on the sofa (not an issue for us but may be if people have allergies) and the shower had a bit of a tendency to leak but overall the house was clean, spacious, in a great location and we really enjoyed our holiday. We have provided an indoor clothes airer and there are pegs for the retractable washing line but evidently these are not kept in an obvious place. Please accept our apologies for this and I will remedy this immediately. Thanks also for letting me know about the fridge and the sofa. We are very sorry about this and I will ensure your findings are passed on to our cleaning team. Yes - the shower screen... We prefer a glass screen rather than a curtain (as we assume most guests will too) but the screen has to be hinged to be operational. This can sometimes let water through. Great Yarmouth 7 miles.

The east Norfolk village of Hemsby is split into two parts, Hemsby village and Hemsby Beach. The village offers two stores, two pub/restaurants, a hairdresser's, a number of takeaways and a regular bus service to Great Yarmouth. Beach Road leads you approximately one mile to the area known as Hemsby Beach, with a variety of cafés, restaurants and takeaways, various amusement arcades, children's funfair rides, and traditional seaside shops. The beach has miles of golden sandy coastline edged with dunes.
