Hunny Cottage

The cottage is lovely and spacious.

It is in a perfect position to walk to the sea and a number of shops, bars and restaurants. The only tiny point is the garden is all pebbles apart from a seating area and my dog struggled to walk on it. Also parking at rear is not suitable for an estate car, we couldn’t position so as not to block next door access but luckily next door didn’t seem to be used at the time. Otherwise we really liked the accommodation and thank goodness there is a ceiling fan in the bedroom as we needed it!

I enjoyed two wonderful weeks at Hunny Cottage.

It has everything you could want for a comfortable stay, it is very well equipped with all you need. The location is great, shops just around the corner, and if you don’t drive the bus station is only a few minutes away.

The owner is great emailed a few days before with all the information and to let us know we could arrive earlier than expected , directions were great easy to find the back of the house and parking, not sure if I am just a bad driver but getting out because of the gates and phone pole was a struggle for me but none the less its great to be able to park the car.

The house is in a great location can walk to beach and high st and Sainsbury's is across the road. The house was warm and clean and in a very quiet area. Only downside was the garden felt unloved and is not good for a dog that is small, mine could have escaped into next door or the sides of the gate to the lane so I had to always be with him and he had to be on a lead - I called Sykes weeks before to ask about this as I saw several other comments , not helpful at all was told it was secure which it would be for a bigger dog/ non escape artist but due to shared access for the parking not good for my dog. Still we had a pleasant stay and if I was not taking the dog would stay again. Thank you for sharing your great property :-)

What a gem!

A lovely cosy cottage, perfect for a stay with our daughter and toddler granddaughter. Ideally situated for visiting Pensthorpe wildfowl centre, Holkham Hall, Sea Life Centre and much else. We would definitely stay again. Great communication with the owner. Thank you.

Great property, well maintained and equipped, comfy beds and the bonus of a parking space.

A quiet location a stones throw from all the local amenities and seafront, would highly recommend.

Hunny cottage is a lovely place to stay.

It is literally 1 minute from Sainsbury and the beach is barely 5 mins away. Lots of eating places nearby. Parking in the back is very tight and would not fit a large car or SUV. Fortunately we were able to park our car. I think the kitchen is new and has all the appliances required. TV was tricky to work (May have been us) and limited channels.

The cottage has been refurbished to a high standard, fresh and well decorated.

It has a lovely feel to it, one of the best we have used for our many Hunstanton stays. This is a quiet street close to shops and beach. Car parking space is a real bonus. The neighbours were very pleasant. We would definitely stay here again.

Great property for me , my wife and 2 girls in a great location.

2nd time we have stayed at this property and has everything we need. Handy car parking round the back and great location for shops and amenities.

The location and quality of the house were ideal and we found the house comfortable. The parking was very convenient. We would be happy to return. Small points to improve: there is a hole in the ceiling above the shower which was strange, there seemed to be a few persistent small flies in the kitchen and we didn’t manage to remove them.

Lovely and clean comfortable beds, the outside space is run down need a bit of tlc could do with a blind at kitchen window .

Garden not dog friendly as stated because of shared access. Trip hazard into kitchen, little step up. Very comfortable had a very good holiday. Would recommend.

A lovely holiday cottage.

Comfortable and clean & well maintained. Close to beach & all amenities. Everything you need is provided. The only problem is that the garden is not secure enough for a dog. Our dog could easily have got out, if not kept on a lead. Would definitely stay again if the garden gate was more secure or without bringing the dog.

The gates in the garden were a problem for our small dog, they weren’t escape proof.

We enjoyed our holiday in the house & just had to use a lead whenever she went out.

We did not use parking as a bit tight for my Navara. Superb location and very quiet. Water pressure is quite low so takes a while to run a bath. There is a leak on the bath shower connection. Couple of light bulbs need replacing. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone.

Parking and TV challenging! More coat hangers would be helpful. Would definitely recommend and hope to return in the not too distant future.

It was a beautiful property and in the perfect location.

We did have a problem with the upstairs toilet but contacted the owner and she arranged for a plumber to come out the following day so managed until then. The back garden is very open and not secure for a dog luckily we didn’t bring ours with us otherwise she would have escaped. It would definitely be better if a fence and gate were around the patio area to block it off. It didn’t feel very private so we didn’t use the garden. The kitchen window needs a blind or curtain up as it made it feel a bit eerie with the back garden being so open

Great cottage, however the rear parking is very limited.

As you have to go down a tight track which at the end was the gate. And a sharp left turn into the parking area. The entrance to the garden is shared with next door no 12, so a really big car won't fit as you have to leave space and you need someone at the back to help navigate out by reversing. The single bed is very soft and gives little back support. It's very spacious and well equipped. The dishwasher works great but the instructions are for another machine. There's no Pizza cutter, everything else though. Overall its lovely and very well maintained. I definateley would stay again. The top two steps on the stairs seem a bit loose so a bit of investigation by the owner may be needed and probably a quick fix. Bathroom is huge and modern. We felt very relaxed.

Great central yet quiet location, so handy for everything.

House was nicely furnished and equipped well. The only additions I’d like to have seen were: 1) a bedside table on both sides of the king size bed (there is space) and an extension run for a light / spare socket to the second side. If switched to twins this would then be the table for the second twin too. 2) 5 coat hooks in the hallway by front door. The only ones are hidden in the back of the house toilet which mean they don’t get used as not easy to access.

The cottage was well-equiped, comfortable and spotlessly clean.

Our only adverse comment would be that the narrow vehicular access and tight turning area should be added to the property description.

Very clean, comfortable and well supplied with every appliance one could wish for including plenty of crockery , cooking pans and utensils.

The bathroom was lovely, especially the walk in shower. It did get chilly during our stay at times, but the heating system was easy to use and very quick to warm up the house. We were very happy with the accommodation . .

The cottage was lovely very comfortable everything we wanted was there.

One little thing there was a shortage of coat hangers just enough for two of us but not if more people went. It was a little thing and didn’t take anything away from a lovely holiday.

The property was brilliant one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in.

Beautifully decorated, and lovely touches, nice clean and fluffy towels. The only down side for us was the garden. We thought it was secure for our dog, but he could have easily escaped under the gate, so we could only take him in the garden on the lead.

It’s bigger than it looks from the outside and is close to all the attractions of Hunstanton and I would recommend it to anyone.

We loved our stay at hunny cottage!

The house was spotlessly clean and we loved the style of the house too! The location was perfect, 5 minutes from the beach with lots of shops and a supermarket moments away. Despite being 2 minutes from the high street, the road was so quiet, thank you for a wonderful stay.

Excellent comfort and convenience for the town, everything that was needed was within 5 minutes of walking.

Very good clean property.

All required items are there and the property was prepared for us very well with high chair and cot which seemed as if they were brand new! Only issue we had was with parking, only 1 space and it is very tight to get in/out of but there is nearby parking usually available on street. Very close proximity to the beach and restaurants etc. We had booked to stay with our dog but decided not to take him in the end, thankful that we didn’t as he would’ve escaped the garden with the gate being shared access and had been left open by the neighbour plus it is a wooden one with lots of space (he is a small dog hence why it would’ve been a problem!) All in all a very pleasant stay and we would return purely due to its proximity to the local amenities.

Beautifully decorated and well equipped. Was a little worried about flooding the bathroom when we had a shower. Had lovely weather and it was perfect having the sun loungers. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely comfortable property close to shops and sea front but in a quiet location with small seating area to the rear which is a sun trap.

One of the best stocked cottages we have stayed in. The front door lock needs looking at as sometimes the door appears locked when it’s not or is hard to open. We just tended to use the back door.

Loved the restful seascape colour scheme of brown, grey, white and blue which runs throughout the property.

Quiet location, very comfortable beds and unusually spacious family bathroom. Kitchen and dining room lovely and cool during the very hot weather we were lucky enough to have. Thoroughly enjoyed staying in this property. Would definitely recommend.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Hunny Cottage.

It is so convenient for everything in Hunstanton, within a couple of minutes walk to a supermarket and 5 mins to the beach. The house itself is beautiful. Plenty of space, absolutely spotless and a lovely homely feel. The owners were brilliant at keeping in touch and we knew we could ask anything as needed. We couldn’t ask for anymore. would definitely highly recommend. Thank you so much!
