We enjoyed our stay every think we hoped for lovely part of Norfolk easy access to the broads John and Margaret

When we first arrived there was a musty smell but tracked it down to the vase of sweet pea flowers.

Once removed all okay, Very quiet and lovely location, perfect for touring the area. Good TV and WiFi reception and comfortable. Only adverse points were the shower lacked pressure and the central heating digital controls kept changing. More control info on these two issues would help. It also took us several minutes to find the red high level hall switch for the shower. Having said that we had a good holiday break here.

We had a wonderful few days at Moonlight Cottage, a home from home.

Lovely, quiet and peaceful location, very restful. My husband even saw 2 deer in the garden! We were very central to where we wanted to visit and explore. Lovely pubs on the Broads where you can have a good meal. We visited a few beaches around as well, and traditional Norfolk villages and market places. We were very reluctant to leave, and will return in the future. Thanks to David our host, always on hand.

We had a lovely stay at Moonlight Cottage.

The location is fantastic for exploring Norfolk. We had some great family days out at Bewilderwood, Cromer, and taking a boat trip on the Norfolk Broads - all within an easy drive away. The cottage was clean and cosy. It was also great that there was a washing machine available. The sofa bed had a rather firm mattress but it was fine for a short stay. The owner, Dave, was responsive and let us know about key collection in good time. He helped us set up the sofa bed and was friendly and helpful. The cookies and flowers in the kitchen when we arrived were also a thoughtful touch. There was a highchair and cot provided for our baby which was lovely and very welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

On arrival and first opening of front door we were confronted with a smell.

Like a unused washing machine / drain/ stale/ foisty smell. Kept windows and door open till evening. But once closed the smell was strong in the living room and bedroom. Stinging nostrils and back of throat. Up at six next morning opened windows and door again. Advised owners in the morning who said there was no smell and were not prepared to do anything. They said take the matter up with sykes. We weren't prepared to stay in those conditions for another night, so holiday was cut short to one night instead of four. Would not put up with a smell like that at home, so why should we on holiday. We were not complaining about the cottage and cleanliness just the unbearable smell.

Our hosts, Dave and Chris, were great, even research and passed on details of a horse riding centre for us.

This cottage is set centrally for easy access to most of the Broads. It is very quiet, clean and well furnished which provided just what we needed. Great holiday.

We were very disappointed with the cottage.

It was far from the high standard we usually receive when we book with Sykes. 1. The bathroom was in a poor decorative condition. The radiator was rusty and did not always heat up. The bathroom itself seemed dated and not in good condition. Surfaces had not been cleaned and the shower cubicle had discoloured grout. The toiletry holder in the shower was also rusty. 2. There was obviously a problem with the heating system. When it came on it was very noisy and the radiators did not always heat up. On the last morning we woke up we had no heating or hot water. This was remedied by early afternoon. 3. We used the washing machine, but our clothes came out with black bits on them. On closer inspection we could see that water had collected in the seals and the machine had not been maintained. 4. The outside area had not been prepared for visitors. The outside dryer had algae on it, as did the table for sitting out. The area where the table was situated had not been cleared of moss and weeds. We had a period of good weather before and during our visit so would have liked to have made more use of this. The cottage was spacious for two people but lacked the care and attention to make a comfortable holiday property.

We both really enjoyed our holiday it was autumn so as we are getting older we were so happy that the heating was really good.

The owners were on hand if there were any problems but there were none we have been before on 2 occasions so we knew it was nice hope to return again next year in spring or summer all being well.

Moonlight Cottage is a lovely property for exploring Norfolk and the Broads.

The owners are great, making sure we settled in OK. The location is good - we particularly enjoyed the ready access to the Bure Valley Trial for traffic free cycling.

Lovely cottage in a very peaceful location whilst being close to beaches and lots to do nearby.

The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The garden has lots of room to play and the tyre swing was a hit with our daughter. Owner was very helpful with local suggestions. As with much of Norfolk mobile signal is patchy and the WiFi is slow/intermittent for anything other than basic browsing so would suggest downloading anything you want prior to arrival or taking some games/DVD’s in case of a rainy day.

Nice cosy little cottage everything we needed the owner was very friendly and helpful - the internet was down for a few day but not the fault of the owner - the location was good for visiting the local area we even managed to hire a boat for the day for a trip on the broards - nice pub a mile up the road with good food and large portions ( the rissing sun )

Moonlight cottage was a lovely , peaceful cottage and nothing was to much trouble.

Very comfortable cottage, very private, facing, wih one other cottage, a small grass field, set back from the minor road, about a mile from the small village of Coltishall, and a further 4 miles from Hoveton with Roys ample food hall, pharmacy, department store, toy store, garden centre, and free short, medium and long stay car parks.

Coltishall has a pleasant green space by the river. Owner welcomed us helpfully, and then left us private unless we would have wanted help.

This is a lovely cottage, perfect for a couple, and very well equipped.

We very much enjoyed our stay, and David, the owner, was very welcoming. We love Norfolk, and will be back.

Excellent cottage which had everything we needed for a very enjoyable holiday.

Spotlessly clean and a comfortable bed. Ideally located just outside a small village. Easy access to lots of lovely places in Norfolk. Holkham hall and parkland was beautiful. We loved the town of Holt and seal spotting at Horsey beach. The host was on hand to sort any problems such as when the internet connection was lost he came immediately and sorted it out. Would definitely visit Norfolk again and stay at Moonlight cottage. Highly recommended.

A stunning holiday cottage in a beautiful woodland location.

Much larger than expected with generous kitchen, bathroom, utility room, lounge and bedroom. Very well equiped. Maintained to a very high standard and very clean. Could not have wished for more. Would definitely stay there again

Tea, milk and biscuits available on arrival. Moonlight cottage is in a lovely setting and very well equipped. Clean and comfortable and close to areas of interest and local facilities. Would recommend.

Moonlight Cottage was ideal for a peaceful weekend break.

We found it in a quiet rural setting, comfortable, well equipped, spotlessly clean and with a range of books and DVDs for a rainy day. We hope to return for a longer stay.

The cottage was clean and had everything we needed.

The only downside was the fan in the bathroom - it sounded like a First World War aeroplane taking off!

Really tucked away from roads, so its peaceful and very quiet.

Just birds. Cottage very spacious, all facilities including a washing machine and dishwasher. Seating outside in garden. Would say its a superb getaway if you want a peaceful break. Thankyou Dave and Chris.

This cottage was in a beautiful, idyllic and tranquil setting, away from the world.

Birdsong and the occasional rumble of trains on the Bure Valley railway- a 5 minute walk away up a narrow lane -was all we heard. We spent our holiday cycling down traffic free country lanes and walking along the path beside the train. Moonlight cottage is centrally situated for exploring Norfolk although it was too hot for us to do that. We walked to the river Bure and enjoyed pub lunches nearby. Would highly recommend hiring a day boat to see the nearby Broads. The cottage itself was well equipped for a self catering holiday, and spotlessly clean. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The owner, Dave, lives very near the cottage and is delightful and very helpful. A pleasant stay.

Great location to explore the broads area.

The heating system in the cottage was difficult - on the controller, there was a switch that had been labelled on/off.

It never seemed to do anything, so we just had to rely on the pre-set programme. Fortunately, most of the time there was no problem as the weather wasn't too bad, but if we'd been there at a colder time, it could have been difficult. Having said that, the owner was easily contactable and I'm sure would have helped us out if necessary. The setting was beautiful with local walking and convenient for the Norfolk Broads.

Owners and personal touches are fab. Fantastic stay. Only criticism would be double sofa pull out bed was very uncomfortable and small but fine for our 4yr old. Picture perfect little place.

We enjoyed our stay at the lovely Moonlight Cottage which is ideal for 2 persons although there is a bed settee in the lounge for occasional use.

The location is really peaceful for relaxing there and there are many places to visit in the area .The only drawback for us was the Friday booking when we found the traffic on the A1 horrendous in both directions and took much longer than expected..

We stayed for two nights at Moonlight Cottage and found it to be the perfect place for a relaxing break,the Cottage was very clean and very well equipped and is situated in a nice quiet spot,we would definitely return again.

Moonlight Cottage was one of the better cottages we have stayed in, it is very quiet and was well equipped.

The owner Dave was very helpful and on hand if needed and the first to contact us regarding keys rather than the other way round. When we visit again we will be back. The cottage was very clean which is something that is really important to me. It was one of the few places we have been that was better than the brochure.

Moonlight Cottage was very clean and the facilities were really good.

The little extras were nice as we arrived late so no shops open. The furniture in the living room is dated but usable. There is parking which is tight but manageable. We didn't go to any local pubs or shops so we can't comment on them but we did go to Wroxham Barns, Bure Valley Railway and Great Yarmouth which we thoroughly enjoyed with our 6 year old. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, thank you

The cottage is nice, well set out and has everything needed.

Within easy reach of attractions in Norfolk. Owners were helpful and on hand if there was an issue. Parking shared with another cottage and very tight.

Cottage was excellent and clean and facilities were great.

Our only complaint would be that the furniture was very dated.
