I had a lovely week stay here.

It is home from home, has everything you need. Very clean and spacious. There was a welcome pack (bottle of wine, chocolates and milk) this was a nice touch and really appreciated. There is a games room outside which is wonderful if you have children. Enjoyed sitting outside and in the conservatory. It’s a beautiful accommodation. The only fault myself and family noticed were that the beds were to hard. The area is quiet. Pub and take aways within walking distance. Local co-op. We will be staying again next year. The owners were very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend staying here.

From the moment we stepped through the door we were very impressed.

It had so much room for us all (age 9 to 77). The facilities it had everything you needed and more. We all loved the outdoor space and daughter enjoyed all the toys and games that she could play with. We all agreed we’ve never had such a well located holiday house - we were never in the car over 30mins to visit all the places we wanted to see and Martham had so much to offer and could walk for food, drinks and shopping. Thanks so much for providing us all with such an amazing holiday and making special memories. We wouldn’t think twice about returning as we all loved it so much.

We loved this property.

It was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. It had everything we needed to make our stay very pleasant. A lot of thought has been given regarding the garden facilities and games/dvds etc in the house. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed.

This was our 3rd visit to this property and standards remain high.

The location is idea for visiting the Broads and the coast. The Kings Arms is always worth a visits as well as the local fish and chip shop.

We had a lovely week in this area with lots to do.

Dove's Nest was incredibly clean and very well stocked with everything we needed for cooking every day and other daily items. It had a beautifully designed and tidy garden which wasn't overlooked and mostly peaceful. I enjoyed reading outside and also in the chair in the hallway away from the TV. The property is in a private road and easy parking. We were left a very thoughtful welcome pack. There are lots of great board games, toys and games room. It could do with a WiFi booster for the bedroom TV. I would need black out curtains on the East facing windows and a mattress upgrade before I could book again as it affected my sleep. My family didn't mind as much though!

It was one of the best we have been in.

An added bonus was the hand rail in the shower as i'm elderly it gave me more peace of mind . Wish more places had them.

A beautiful, peaceful haven.

If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing escape, this lovely cottage in Norfolk is absolute perfection. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable everything was. The peace and quiet made for a truly restful stay. What we appreciated most was how well-stocked the cottage was; everything we could think of was supplied. A lovely welcome pack was waiting for us which was much appreciated. I highly recommend Dove's nest. We would love to come back!

Possibly the best presented holiday accommodation we've booked from anyone.

Immaculately presented and clean inside. The garden was well presented with the addition of a games room and little sun house in the opposite corners and two sitting out areas to boot. Comfortable in side with good sized bedrooms and 2 washroom/shower with a bonus of an outside loo as well! Kitchen was well laid out with adequate utensils but could do with the addition of a carving dish and carving fork. We took a small pork joint with us and trying to carve it with what fork and a suitable knife was a challenge. Lucky I didn't take up a surgical career!! However, all in all Dove Cottage exceeded or expectations..Well done Mark & Melanie. The Wood family

Dove's Nest exceeded our expectations.

We stayed there as a Dutch-based three-generation family, aged 4 - 69, visiting family in Norfolk and it met our requirements more than amply. The living room and sun lounge offered plenty of space for us all, the kitchen was well equipped, everyone enjoyed the garden, and the grandchildren were spoilt for choice with all the games both indoors and in 'their playhouse' in the garden. The close vicinity to several beaches was an added bonus.

We have been visiting Norfolk as a family for the last 25 years and this is the best property we have stayed in.

It was clean, well equipped and in a good location. Whilst there were other properties nearby, it felt peaceful and secluded. This is one we hope to revisit

Delightful property.

Felt fresh and clean throughout, lots of space for all 4 of us (including 2 teenage sons). Home had everything we needed and more, welcome pack was perfect finishing touch. Close to the broads and beaches ( we even got to see the seals one evening) great base to explore from. Property is in a quiet cul-de-sac, not overlooked and feels very private and safe. Only lost 1 star due to beds and pillows not being to our comfort, but may feel fine for others.

What a wonderful property.

Everything was perfect, very comfortable, everything you would ever need for a relaxing break away from home. Facilities first class. Couldn't fault the property one bit. We enjoy our stay and the afternoons in the conservatory with the sunshine were fantastic. Thank you very much, a home from home in a village that also has a lot to offer.

We had a lovely week at Dove's Nest in Feb/March.

Nice and warm and plenty of room for our party including 3 grandchildren. Lots of toys and games and colouring/sticker books for the children, and a welcome pack of goodies for us all. And table football in the games chalet. Martham is great for local beaches and walks. Can't wait to come again!

From the moment I pulled up, I knew I was gonna love it here.

It’s such a quaint little cottage tucked away. The people have thought of everything for this property down to little children to adults. I plan on coming back next year. I’m from America and my family in England and we was visiting my father-in-law family were coming to visit us too. Had a great time.

Dove's Nest is brilliant!

Plenty of room, great facilities, wonderful supply of games and toys, incl football table. Very well sited for short drives to Winterton-on-Sea, Sea Palling and the seal colonies at Horsey. Can't wait to go there again!

Property requires renovation.

Carpets dirty. Bed linen of poor quality and worn. Beds poor quality. Lounge seating uncomfortable.Bathroom requires refit. Both electric showers poor require replacing.Cannot recommend this property.

Lovely accommodation. Easy access to The Broads and boat hire. Lovely warm conservatory for breakfast.

Been using the property for about 5 years and it is idea for my party's needs.

Have already booked it again for next year which I would suggest is a great recommendation.

We all had a lovely holiday staying at Doves nest in Martham, beautiful little village, lots of takeaways, has a delightful little duck pond.

The bunalgow was beautiful, lovely garden, often just sat and relaxed there, also got a dvd player so we watched some movies. Not far from the seaside like Sea Palling, Winterton on Sea, has a conservatory a little sun trap, perfect place to read a book in, so thankyou for a lovely stay in your bungalow.

Have just spent a week at this amazing bungalow and rate it as the Best Sykes cottage we have stayed in and there have been a lot.

Dove''s Nest was spacious, beautifully decorated throughout and very clean. There were separate sunrooms, verandahs little nooks to sit quietly and summer houses to escape to in a lovely garden. I was pleased to find a handrail in the shower which owners often forget. Plenty of room for 5 adults so a family with children would definitely enjoy it, and only one big spider which my husband dealt with !

The property was very comfortable, spacious and clean.

The facilities was very good and the area was very quiet. The week was very enjoyable and would definitely book again. Loved it.❤️

A very well kept and maintained holiday home with all the essential amenities.

It's well-sized and well-situated in a pleasant village, complete with duckpond and just a few minutes walk from the nearest pub. And if you want to see the sights, both Great Yarmouth and the Broads are within a short driving distance. Then, when you return tired out, you'll appreciate the accommodation. Sit out on the veranda with a G&T - and love the opportunity.

There was plenty of information regarding local places of interest and facilities. The property and garden were spacious. The owners had left a welcome pack which was much appreciated. We would like to return to Doves Nest in the future.

Absolutely perfect.

So clean and well equipped, a real home from home. Comfy bed too. Easy access to the coast and braids and a chip shop, Chinese and Pizza take aways within easy walking distance in a pretty village.

What a fabulous place Dove’s Nest is.

Beautifully situated in a small quiet cul-de-sac but less than 5 minutes walk to the centre of Martham ( The Kings Arms offers a great Sunday Lunch and the local ‘chippy’ offers excellent fish and chips). Dove’s Nest has everything you could need. Mark & Melanie have tried and indeed succeeded in providing a first class holiday home that is so comfortable you won’t want to leave! The welcoming pack was gratefully received and the whole place just breathes “Quality”. You will not be disappointed and will certainly want to return.

Great facilities, great cottage, great village.

A wonderful location and accommodation in which we spent our 60th wedding anniversary.

Very nice welcome from the owners Mark and Melanie and a very quick response to a minor problem with a light bulb. I would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday in a lovely village well placed for access to the coast. We don't have young children but the facilities for children are extremely good. A definite 5 star rating from us..

Had a fantastic stay at doves nest, we loved the garden and the cottage was lovely and quiet, we spent lots of time in the garden which is so lovely for children as they had the games room and toys perfect for my 5 year old, the cottage had everything you would need, I will definately book again!

This was our second visit to Dove's Nest and the first time we have ever stayed in the same property again which speaks volumes for how fabulous it is.

It is so spacious and well equipped, perfect for our party of three generations. The owners obviously take note of feedback and make improvements. Last year I commented that the double bedroom would benefit from having a chest of drawers. There was one this time! Others had said that the garden needed to be more secure. Gates have been fitted since last year! We have booked again for next year!

Doves nest was like a little haven , it had everything you could have asked for and more, The idea of all having things aimed at different ages was brilliant ,we had our little grandson who is one and it felt safe to let him wander ( putting things up a little higher )

both showers really tricky to maintan a comfortable temprature.

Driving up the very well maintained private cul-de-sac Dove’s Nest is the last property on the left.

The description given on the website is so accurate. The garden and grounds were immaculate as was the bungalow. I cannot find fault with our week. This property is highly recommended. It was so peaceful and private. Lots of things to do within easy reach. The village itself boasts most of what you might need including good pubs (food at the Kings Head was particularly excellent) as were both the Chinese and Chip Shop takeaways. We intend to return for a second stay.

Doves Nest, situated on a lovely, quiet cul de sac, is spacious, homely, spotless and very well equipped.

It has a beautiful well maintained garden with seating areas. Children are catered for to with a fabulous play shed. I would definitely recommend this property.

The cottage was spotlessly clean, furnished with everything you need, and it is well located near the amenities in the village. It's also really private and quiet. We enjoyed the lovely little touches - the welcome tray treats and the knee trays for tea in front of the telly and breakfast in the conservatory. Where do I begin!

Dove's Nest exceeded all our hopes and expectations. So spacious, so clean and so suitable for our extended family holiday in every way. Dove’s Nest was so thoughtfully and tastefully decorated for Christmas, and Mark and Melanie provided such lovely Christmas treats including crackers, Christmas colouring books etc. The large toy cupboard was so popular with our grandsons and also the toys, games outside and all the space outside to play. We would come back to Dove’s Nest with no hesitation and in fact our daughter and son in law and their four young children have already booked for next Easter. Many thanks to Mark and Melanie to all they are doing to provide a relaxing family holiday where, as guests, you feel it is so important to the owners that you are comfortable and happy.

The property was immaculately clean on arrival and had everything we could possibly need.

The owners must have put a lot of time and effort in to making this a real home from home. Lots of extra touches to make it feel comfortable. There was a bouquet of flowers in a vase on the table and in the kitchen a gift basket with a bottle of local wine and hand made Norfolk cookies plus other goodies which were very much appreciated. The owners texted to let us know that the property was ready for us earlier than expected which was very thoughtful and they let us know that we could contact them if needed which was not necessary. We have already recommended this holiday home to friends and family and would definitely visit again

We loved the cottage and it worked very well for us as a family group, especially the many games, trains etc which our grandchildren loved!

The garden was lovely and very peaceful, ideally we would have liked a fully secure garden but we were able to create a visual boundary which the children obeyed but which younger children may not understand. That said it's a safe road and we had no real concerns. I also found the king-size bed a bit firm but I can see that this may be a matter of personal preference. We really appreciated the text message saying the cottage was ready and welcome gifts and we would stay again. Thank you!

This is a brilliant property in a good location for exploring in all directions.

It is really spacious inside and out. It is very well equipped with attention to detail. There is lots of seating, even under cover outside. There are toys, including table football, books, games and DVDs. My one wish would be for a chest of drawers in the double bedroom, but otherwise there is lots of storage. We would definitely rent it again.

Doves nest was a beautiful property with all you could possibly need provided.

The property was perfect for my mum who has mobility issues, and she was able to navigate the property easily with a walker. We spent many an afternoon, once back from our exploring the area, in the conservatory admiring the lovely garden.

Our stay at Dove’s Nest was brilliant, the owners (Mark&Melanie) go above and beyond to make sure you have a fantastic holiday.

This is an excellent base for exploring Norfolk, plenty to see and do within a 12 mile radius.

The accomodation is clean, comfortable and well maintained with a secluded garden in a quiet location. This is our second visit to this property. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic home from home.

The house was immaculate and we were left a lovely welcome pack with biscuits and wine and also very thoughtfully some extras for my 2 little ones including Easter treats! We instantly felt relaxed and at home at the property which has everything you need and is in a great location. My 5 year old son was ecstatic when we found the train set to play with! We are very much looking forward to coming back

Great place to eat in the village “the kings arms” great food and lovely atmosphere and of course don’t forget the village pond with the ducks and duckling’s. Would recommend to anyone.

Dove’s Nest was warm and welcoming with much thought given to provision and facilities.

For a late April break it was an ideal property and well located in a quiet close with easy access, within areas of interest between the Broads and the coast.

It was comfortable and clean.

There is a lot of local shops and takeaways. We went primarily to visit family nearby but we also saw a lot especially the seals on the sand at Horsey. I would definitely stay here again.

Second time our group has been to this cottage and would not hesitate to return again.

It’s a great layout and suited us well. The welcoming gifts were very well received and the kids loved the games room. It was cleaned to a very high standard and very well equipped. The property is in an amazing quiet location and great for accessing the beach and broads. The village has a great fish and chips, pub and butchers. We would stay again for sure!

The Doves Nest is a well appointed property.

The owner clearly takes pride in the presentation of this property and secluded garden.The weather was kind, allowing us to use the garden and conservatory in the evenings. The village of Martham has all the facilities needed for those on holiday and the cottage is ideally placed for visiting the Broads and the coast.

I cannot rate this cottage highly enough.

It was clean, spacious and had everything you could possibly need. It was suitable for any age and the games room kept our 2 year old so we'll entertained to the point he didn't want to go out on days out because he was having far to much fun in the garden. The garden is very well kept with plenty of seating areas for all weathers. Our elderly relatives settled in very well too and were sad to leave. Amazing place.

We were all really impressed with the cleanliness and how well equipped Doves Nest was.

We felt very at home and comfortable throughout out stay. And very welcome by the wonderful tray of treats and milk in the fridge, we also had a minor leak in the porch which was sorted within an hour! Our only negative was the garden not being secure, with having a little one running round, we would have liked a secured garden if there in the summer.

This property exceeded all our expectations.

It was exceptionally clean and very well maintained. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. There are DVD's, board games, books, jigsaw puzzles and of course the games room to keep the children occupied. It was warm enough to cope with the cold February weather. The welcome tray was a delight and very much appreciated.

This is a great place for feeling at home away from home.

The place is very generously laid out, with lots of room and lots of different corners to chill out in. There's a garden all the way around and lots of sheds and outbuildings for extra storage or sitting space. The kitchen is very well stocked with all the appliances and cutlery you could wish for. A lovely welcome tray with wine, chocolate, juice and biscuits awaited us and everything had been decorated nicely for the Christmas season. The place is close to amenities, yet feels very private and secluded. It's a great base for exploring the Broads.

The cottage is perfect for a holiday, very comfortable and nicely furnished.

The heating was more than a match for the cold Norfolk weather. The owners are very friendly without being intrusive and left us a lovely welcome pack and fresh flowers. I can't fault our stay there.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Dove's Nest.

Lots of reviews have said how peaceful, well-equipped and perfectly-located the place is and we completely agree. Here is a little more feedback about why it was a brilliant stay for our family (including a 3-year-old and a 6-month-old): - It's all on the ground floor - travel cot and high chair provided (could have been brand new it was so well-kept!) - children's games room kept our child entertained even on rainy days - carpets & soft-close doors meant we could walk around without disturbing the baby's naps - so many large radiators meant just 1 hour with the thermostat on in the morning and 1 hour in the evening kept the house toasty and also meant we could wash 2 days' worth of clothes for a family of 4 and still have room for towels. - big, private garden (photos don't do it justice). Not overlooked at all. We would definitely love to return.

An outdoor barbeque would be a good addition.

In a really good location to get to beaches and other attractions in Norfolk. The cottage was very clean and today and had everything we needed for a lovely family holiday.

Very good location. Spacious, freshly decorated and everything seems new. More than everything you need for a week or two away. Very nice welcoming pack. The only slight criticism was the kingsize bed, the mattress was not very comfortable and pretty squeaky. Lucky it was just two of us, so we slept in the other bedrooms which were comfortable.
