Walpole House

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The house was welcoming & well equipped with everything we needed. We stayed for 6 nights for may half term with our 12 year old and dog. We didnt use the car once, we walked everyday down to the attractions for the day & back up in the evening. PJS fish & chips was just up the road & was delicious and Misiah indian takeaway delivered to us & this was outstanding. Morrisons is just around the corner for supplies. My son loved his room with the bathroom & my husband & i had the room at the front which was very comfortable. Thank you for a lovely stay & thank you for agreeing to let us come 2 days early, we certainly appreciated it with the good weather xx

Property was good clean and tidy and well maintained, but our elderly disposition made the steep stairs awkward especially as there was no downstairs toilet.

Not sure if it is the property owners or the letting agents that own the Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi in the property failed to deliver our emails for the first few days indicating some form of password error but disconnecting the Wi-Fi and reverting to our data package resolved the issue and we had no issues with other local available Wi-Fi configurations. It seemed like we were trying to use a corporate Wi-Fi configuration where employees are restricted so as not to disrupt company data traffic. Strangely on the last day it appeared to resolve as if someone had realised the configuration error and modified the settings.

The house is lovely, very clean (spotless).

Kitchen had everything we needed both bedrooms with their own bathrooms was a bonus. Large enough enclosed garden was great to satisfy the dogs 'needs' Brilliant location for dog walking, the dunes and north beach just a short walk short walk into the town - went out of season but the beach cafes were open and all dog friendly. the only thing that let the accommodation down was the sofas - extremely uncomfortable - springs were coming through so definitely need an upgrade.

The cleanest holiday home we've stayed in ever.

As a pet friendly location that is even more impressive. The location was great, for local access and as a base. Nice to have access to adjust the heating system in January, too many places restrict this to save a few pennies; it made a huge difference. Well equipped and plenty of space. Nicely decorated. Free on-street parking outside was fine in January but I suspect less so in the summer as there was often only a couple of spaces left nearby. Plenty of charged parking within a short walk though. Thin walls into the neighbours meant a bit of baby noise but never at antisocial times. The rear garden is safely enclosed for a dog, well lit for the bedtime dog visit, and surfaced for an easy 'pick-up'. Lovely hot showers, but the cubicle in the shower room is not designed for a 6 footer like me. The ensuite is spot on though. Strangely, the ensuite is not in what I would say is the master bedroom ( i.e. the one with the huge TV) .One suggestion, the sofas are about ready for an update; they just about suffice but let down an otherwise lovely house. Definitely recommend this one.

Spotlessly clean house and very stylish.

Great location. Kitchen contained all utensils needed. Stairs was as described and very steep, a stair gate would be helpful for families with young children. Thank you for a restful stay.

A few nice touches such as tea, coffee and sugar provided plus shower gel and shampoo

Has I’m not a dog owner I did smell in some places wet dog…

first class accomodation,everything recently updated, in a nice position for lots of amenities, highly recommend.

The property had everything you would need for a comfortable stay.

Everything was considered. The street it was situated in was a bit rough around the edges but Walpole House was like an oasis. It was near a shop and pub and a chippy which were handy. When we arrived the cooker hop wouldn't work but Barbara came out of her way to fix it for us. PS the stairs up to the bedrooms were very steep!

We had a brilliant 3 day stay!

Everything was very clean and the house had everything we needed. 15 minute walk to the high street and the road is so quiet. Managed to park outside the house with no issues, but there are two free car parks less than a 5 minute walk away. Will 100% be staying here again when we next visit.

Lovley house very clean and very homely and had everything needed and a nice few shops near the house ,parking down the road very busy ,but always found space .

..not a bad walk to we're all the amenities are..would deff recommend. 5*

Strange location in a row of terraced houses but the property itself was excellent!

Not a typical holiday home but I was there for business so it was perfect.

The owner was only a phone call away and was very helpful if we needed her assistance.

The property was very clean and nicely laid out and was nicely decorated for Christmas which almost made you feel at home. It is located about 15 minutes walk from Brittanea pier from where you can go in any direction as you see fit. Just around the corner is a convenience store opposite a friendly pub and there is a fish and chip shop at the end of the street. Would definitely recommend this property.

Barbara was exceptionally attentive, checking we were okay several times.

The hob had been accidentally locked by a previous occupant and her son came out to sort it out without any delay. Lovely property. The stairs are definitely steep but we were warned about that. Would recommend.

Walpole House is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a holiday stay and so much more as well.

There are also some lovely finishing touches too. The whole house and everything in it was really clean and fresh. Barbara made us very welcome and my brother and I enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a lovely stay house was immaculate owner Barbara and son were very helpful near to bus root into g yarmouth and close to sea front would definately go back again.

Absolutely immaculate, well kitted out property.

5 min walk from seafront. Twin bathrooms a joy. Lovely area and suite for sitting out. Greeted by owner Barbara and a very nice welcome pack. Had a great week, couldn’t fault a thing.
