Foundry Cottage

A super little cottage which has everything you need for a quiet holiday.

A short walk down the hill to see the boats on the river and reach 2 pubs. We particularly enjoyed the food at The Ship. We were informed of a minor problem when we arrived and the owner sorted it quickly and easily keeping us informed throughout.

We loved our week at Foundary cottage.

The cottage itself was so comfortable and cosy with everything you would nd. The surroundings were lovely, a short walk to the river and 3 pubs, a cafe, a fish and chip shop(food was delicious) and a local shop. Would highly recommend and would definitely go again.

An Absolute Gem in Reedham We absolutely loved our stay at this little cottage!

It felt wonderfully cosy and comfortable throughout—a real home-from-home. The cottage is extremely well equipped. The kitchen was easy to use, and we particularly loved the luxurious, deep free-standing bath (with a large head shower over). The owners clearly care about the details, providing high-quality bedding and plentiful, fluffy towels. Outside, the secure, gravelled garden with seating and beautiful planting was a lovely, private space to relax and safe for our dog. The location couldn't be more convenient. We were spoilt for choice with two riverside pubs just minutes away (the food at both was excellent!). We also found the local shop, deli/cafe, and the fish and chip shop (best we've tasted in ages!) all within a two-minute walk. Reedham itself is one of the prettiest villages on the Broads, and the cottage is ideally placed to enjoy it all. Finally, the owners were incredibly helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. We loved our time here, and we will definitely be rebooking!

An extremely warm and comfortable cottage on a quiet lane within easy access to the river, pubs, cafe, shop, fish and chips and railway station.

Lovely cottage in a super location minutes away from the Broads canal.

Could be a problem for the elderly with low ceiling on the landing and narrow stairs.

Cottage was clean and tidy, well presented. Bottle of wine was a nice touch, thank you. Cottage is quite small, perfect for the 2 of us. Would recommend.

Amazing little cottage done really well and great access to the local amenities.

We would highly recommend and as we used to run a holiday cottage ourselves we could see the effort and attention to detail that had gone into Foundry cottage.

It was a joy to stay at Foundry Cottage, and we would love to revisit one day.

We found the cottage very clean and comfortable with quality fixtures and fittings. The cottage is conveniently situated in the village, close to the pubs, with a well stocked grocery shop and fish and chip shop around the corner.

What a great house in a great location.

So much to do, lots of lovely walks nearby which were great for our dog. Great pubs and cafes just beware that booking is essential for the pubs as they get super busy during holiday season. Great to have train station nearby so we could leave car at home and enjoy a lovely trip into Norwich. Would definitely go back. Highly recommend.

Just back from a week in Foundry Cottage and what a lovely cottage it is.

Perfect for a couple, family of 3 like us or 2 couples/friends. All amenities on the doorstep and perfect for a relaxing break. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back one day. Hosts were great as well, bottle of Prosecco ready on arrival and nothing was any trouble to help if needed. Denise & Family.

Lovely cosy cottage.

Very good level of comfort and furnishings with tasteful decor and very well equipped. We would happily return. Reedham is the perfect spot for a relaxing break with easy access to the riverside, plenty of walks and peaceful country lanes for cycling. On the train route for days out to the coast or shopping in Norwich. So much to see and explore we cant wait to return! Note, the only toilet is on ground floor level, the outdoor seating is at the front and side of the property but as its on a very quiet lane this wasn't an issue for us as we enjoyed the evening sunshine.

This was our second time staying at the cottage and we absolutely loved it.

It’s a beautiful little house - perfectly located for exploring Norfolk / Suffolk, secure for the dog and in a really friendly, tranquil and relaxing village. We’ve just returned from an Easter break at Foundry Cottage and would certainly return in a heartbeat!

The house was cosy, beautiful town and a great location to venture out to support. Oonagh was always responsive to any queries we had. Definitely would recommend to those considering this property.

Cottage was well equipped. Outside area nice and secure for our little dog. A stone's throw from the lovely riverside, 2 nice pubs, a well-stocked convenience store and a lovely cafe/deli. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely stay in this comfortable cosy cottage perfect location great fish and chip shop and two pubs serving great food walks round village were great very friendly people would recommend this place

A really nice place to stay at.

We had some issues with a smoke alarm going off at irregular intervals. The downstairs toilet and bathroom was a little bit of an inconvenience. Plenty of dog walking footpaths around and the roads were quiet too.

Delightful cottage, beautifuully decorated in restful colours.

Whoever designed the interior is a master of aesthetics! We greatly appreciated the bottle of wine left for us - little touches like this mean a lot. Foundry cottage is ideally situated with two pubs within stumbling distance and another a little further on (though still walkable). Also two excellent tearooms. Useful to have the station nearby - we left the car at the cottage for two days of our stay. Wifi could've been a bit nippier, but that's a very minor whinge, overall we'd return in a heartbeat!

A wonderful holiday home and exactly as described.

The layout, everything that was provided and all the extra touches really made it for us; it worked perfectly having a dog with us too. We were even treated to a lovely bottle of wine and some doggy treats on arrival - the dog loved the wine and the treats were delicious ;) It genuinely is a perfect place to stay and we do miss it already. Reedham’s also a real hidden gem of a village and the residents are so friendly. We definitely want to stay again, so hope to be able to book for a second time. A huge thank you to the owners, it’s a lovely house! x

Gorgeous house, really comfortable and beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a lovely, relaxing holiday.

Reedham is a beautiful little village and we enjoyed some lovely meals in the local pubs. Would definitely stay again.

in spite of it being an old house, it was beautifully fitted out, comfortable , and being able to access our on television accounts was a nice touch .

we had a wonderful week there, and may well book it again .

We had a lovely break in this fantastic property in a beautiful peaceful part of the country.

The property was comfortable and had all the facilities we needed. The owner communicated with us clearly and regularly. We are looking forward to an early return visit.

Lovely cottage near to the river and coffee shop where you can sit and watch the wildlife.

(weather permitting ). We had brilliant weather for November so made our holiday even better . Cottage comfortable and so were the beds . Would recommend.

Great little cottage a short distance from the river front with a couple of little cafes and pubs.

Very quiet village. The cottage had everything you could need our only (and very minor) point would be the lack of a cafetierre.

The only downside to our stay was the fact that the Main Shower could not be Regulated, is was either Boiling or or Boiling Hot!

A lovely well equipped cottage, right in the centre of Reedham.

Has just about everything you need for a relaxing break. The beds are really comfortable as well so a good nights sleep after a day of walking should be no problem. Great

A lovely cottage in a great location with plenty of villages and coastal towns within a short drive and a riverside walk towards Reedham Ferry meaning there is something for everyone, Nicely decorated and rooms of a good size with plenty of storage.

Small touches like games in a cupboard and a welcome bottle of wine added to the relaxing feel. A small issue with the overhead shower and not being able to reduce the temperature from boiling meant we couldn’t use it but there was a handheld showerhead so it wasn’t a major problem. Two pubs on the river within a very short walk and a great deli and tearoom also very close by. Would happily stay at Foundry Cottage again.

A fantastic little cottage that offers so much.

It is in a great location which is very quiet but extremely close to everything you need. For the date of the cottage the room sizes are very generous and have been very tastefully decorated as well as well maintained. The only issue we encountered was the overhead shower, the water temperature could not be altered so it was always hot, which at points was hard so stand under. Other than that it was excellent, so much so we are seriously considering rebooking for next year.

The cottage was perfect with all things needed.

The towels and bed linen were all of a good quality, kitchen well equipped. The welcome bottle of wine was appreciated.

Absolutely lovely property and in an ideal location.

The cottage is well looked after and has everything needed for a comfortable holiday stay. Top marks for cleanliness and comfort. Ideal storage in the kitchen for your food and also the fridge freezer was very useful in the utility room. So nice to have space to hang up all of your clothes in the double wardrobe. Couldn't fault this properly and a short walk to the local shop and public houses which serve lovely food. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to holiday in the broads.

We stayed at the Cottage for 1 week and it is great, a stones throw from the river and the pubs, It was very peaceful and tranquil and hope to be back next year.

Really lovely place to stay, well kitted out, and nice touch with wine left for us and milk in the fridge.

Liked the two fences and gates in front garden, carefully thought out for protecting dogs. Very convenient location for storing kayaks in front garden and walking down to the nearby river for launching

Smelt so clean. They even left treats for my dog and bottle of wine for us. We will book again x

The perfect little cottage for a cosy winter break.

The beds were extremely comfortable and the heating and oven simple to use. Proximity to the village shop, the Ship and the River Yare was great.

We had a great stay at foundry cottage over the Christmas and New Year break.

The cottage had all the amenities we needed, the beds were comfortable, and the location was nice and quiet. As a family with young children, we definitely made use of the washing machine and dryer, which where in the utility room outside. That meant occasionally running through rain to get to it but it also made the cottage peaceful quiet (at least when the kids were sleeping) so that was fine by us! Oonagh and Jon even set up Christmas decorations for us knowing we had some little ones coming along, which was really special. Thanks a lot for the stay, we had great, relaxing time.

Foundry Cottage is in a great location for exploring The Norfolk Broads, and has been tastefully & thoughtfully decorated throughout.

It would benefit from a more detailed cleaning & maintenance schedule on changeover days to include carrying out minor repairs (such as fixing the kitchen door and weeding the garden) and an inventory check to ensure cutlery & crockery are clean. It is the attention to detail that is lacking and letting this property down. These issues could be easily fixed by the owners and shouldn't put people off from booking, but should be addressed to ensure Foundry Cottage remains worthy of it's 4 star status.

The cottage had everything we needed and was in a perfect location close to the shop, pub and chippy.

The cottage had everything we could need as Regards to comfort and facilities.

The kitchen was very well equipped. Lots of storage for clothes. All stylishly put together with some lovely touches. Matt couldn't have been more helpful when we had a small problem . If I was to nit pick I'd say I was expecting a small back garden to sit in but it was a area to the side of the property. This wouldn't put us off booking again as we had a lovely time and our dog was quite secure and well catered for welcomed where ever we went. Reedham is such a pretty friendly place and a good base to explore Norfolk from.

The cottage was very comfortable and the hosts had provided milk and wine, which was a nice touch.

It was very well equipped, with everything you need to make a home from home. The only two slight downsides are: The ceilings are very low, and this is made worse in the kitchen as suspended spot lights have been fitted. My husband is 6"2 and was continually banging his head! Also the bathroom is downstairs, which isn't as convenient in the night.
