Elevated above the Norfolk salt marches in the sleepy village of Salthouse is Seaview Cottage, a wonderful dwelling offering a striking combination of contemporary styling with characterful features.

Upon entering the property, be welcomed into the light-filled kitchen, where along the sleek marble effect splash back walls, light grey painted cabinets are topped by the same stunning marble effect and complete with modern touches and all the quality appliances one would expect from an exceptional self-catering accommodation.
Slip through the door to find the spacious and beautifully presented living room to find an electric fire sitting within a striking handmade brick reveal, while the sumptuous grey sofas are piled with plush cushions, ready to sink into after a bracing day on the coast.
Flick on the electric fire to allow a gentle warmth to fill the space, before tuning into the TV or gathering at the dining table to relish in the company of your loved ones over a bottle of wine or a home-cooked dish.
Take the far door to find the conservatory, where you can look forward to spending a balmy morning with a drink in hand ahead of an action-packed afternoon.
As the evening draws to a close, take the stairs up to the first floor landing, which grants access to the two bedrooms, where you can choose between a king-size bed with ample storage space and another king-size bed, where you can wake up to the captivating views of the sea each morning.
The rear garden at Seaview Cottage is a sunny spot, where table and chairs offer an alternative spot for alfresco dining, whilst to the front of the property there is off-road parking at the front of the property for 1 car and furth parking 30 meters away.
Better acquaint yourself with your surrounding and meander into the centre of the village, where you will find a village shop, two pubs and the parish church of St Nicholas, making it a charming base for touring further afield.
Explore the famous marshes, which is home to common and rare species of birds with the Salthouse Marshes and Salthouse Heath being part of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve before venturing to the Salthouse Heath, which boasts unrivalled views of the coastline.
Beach seekers can venture to the local shingle beach, where you will find further opportunities for walking, wildlife spotting and fishing, as well as meandering the ten-mile Salthouse Sculpture Trail do uncover yet more breath-taking scenery.
Just a short distance away from the cottage is the traditional seaside town of Cromer, where you will find more sandy beaches, surfing opportunities and more wonderful walks along the Norfolk Coast Path or you could meet the animals at Amazona Zoo or brush up on the local history with a visit to Felbrigg Hall, Gardens and Estate, the historical market town of Holt is a 10 minute drive from the cottage, there is a village shop that sells local produce in the neighbouring village Cley-next-the-sea, you can also enjoy a seal trip from Blakeney which is a 10 minute drive from the cottage.

Was lovely to be back at Seaview cottage.
Lovely accomodation, quiet and welcoming. Glorious views over the saltmarshes - and just a few minutes walk to the beach. Perfect for birdwatching, and keep an eye out for the inquisitive seals. Plenty to do in nearby Sheringham and Cley - a perfectly chilled break.
Very pleasant accommodation.
Everything was good except for too many cobwebs. Need a better dusting and remove cobwebs and dust.

Really excellent property in good position with parking and very quiet Everything worked well and beds very comfortable and good shower.
The garden was particularly pretty and secluded. Short walk to the local pub which was very friendly and served tasty food. Also easy to walk to beach although this was just pebbles it was completely unspoiled. Best for us was the Norfolk wildlife reserve just a couple of miles along the coast .We brought our bikes and cycled nearly everywhere, lots to do and see. As mentioned before you need to bring all basics for cooking such as salt pepper oil etc. however well equipped with everything else. We were only two but plenty of space for two couples although only one toilet in upstairs bathroom. Although the weather was warm the house remained confortable with fans in both bedrooms . Thank you for a lovely stay.

Very comfortable cottage with great views to the front.
We liked the conservatory and charming garden and the magnificent views. Just a couple of things which could make it even better: the kettle needs descaling and the freezer compartment will not close properly which means it is icing up quickly. The garden, though delightful, is becoming very overgrown with weeds in raised bed and brambles growing through very overgrown shrubs - such a shame!

The cottage was lovely with beautiful views from bedroom window.
Location was great for us to be able to do lots of walking over Christmas. Unfortunately though, the whole house had recently been painted and was really strong, causing me to have an asthma attack on the first night, and needing to open as many windows as we could, which is not ideal when it's so cold outside. If it hadn't of been a Christmas stay and had lots planned, I honestly don't think we would have stayed more than the first night. Such a shame, as like we said its a lovely little cottage.
Thank you for your feedback. I am so sorry to read about your asthma attack. The painting had been scheduled before your last minute reservation and we did send out a message after accepting the booking advising of the work. We had also been assured by the decorator that there would be no smell by the time you arrived as they used a water based emulsion. The house was then aired after they had finished the work. I am very disappointed that the decorator has mis informed me and can only apologise for the smell. After speaking to the decorator, he still maintains that there should have been no smell as he completed the work several days before your arrival. Once again I’m truly sorry.

Access, position of property and parking excellent.
View from upstairs windows across to the sea stunning. Very comfortable and spacious cottage. The toilet roll holder was off the wall which my husband fixed. The only downside was the boiler in the cupboard in the front bedroom which kept kicking in at different times through the night , waking us.

I am sorry that the toilet roll holder was off the wall, I am not sure how the cleaners missed that so I do apologise. We don't have a traditional boiler in the house as there is no gas, the hot water is heated with an electronic heater (I understand it is near silent) so I am not sure what noise you would have heard.

Lovely house, great location, although I was glad we didn't live there permanently as the yapping dogs in the house in front were awfully irritating (perhaps they were holiday makers too?
) We do recommend the local pub, very friendly with good food. We did struggle with the small fridge. Bring your own salt and pepper etc as there is no basics provided in the kitchen, although the welcome pack was very generous and much appreciated.

We do supply tea, coffee and sugar in individual packs for our guests but as you say we do not provide salt or pepper.
The cottage was super clean and the first ever with a clean oven and cooker and toaster.
Chris the owner called us early in the week to ensure everything was OK. The provision of fans in the bedrooms was great in the heatwave. Great location great cottage did what it said on the tin. Thanks Chris for your attention to detail

Lovely cottage which suited us really well.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very well appointed modern kitchen with all new appliances, very comfortable lounge, bright warming conservatory and outdoor area. Welcome pack of food and wine was pleasing and unexpected. Bedrooms were spacious with soft, clean beds. Upstairs bathroom was good except the shower was not functioning which was disappointing. Lovely location close to the beach and other beauty spots, extremely quiet and peaceful area. Good parking and access. Key box was a little difficult for us to access due to the mechanism.
Our second visit, previously two years ago.
We recommended it to friends who stayed there and were sufficiently satisfied to want to stay again, but unfortunately it wasn’t available when they wanted to stay a second time. We think that says it all!
Would definitely recommend this place.

Everything you wanted was there. Brilliantly views fantastic situation. We had a great stay. However the shower was broken and wouldn't stay in holder andleaked. Also no instructions for cooker or heating. We did try to ring caretaker twice . Once we sorted problem ouselves but he didn't respond to message Second time left message no reply. We did have a,rat in the garden. Everything else fantastic and we will definitely use your very professional company again

We pride ourselves on being extremely communicative and responsive to any guest queries, as can be seen from other feedback, so this is a shame. Instructions for the heating etc. can be found in the information folder. I’ve since inspected the shower myself and couldn’t see where it was leaking from. Following up on your feedback, you have since communicated that you could not say definitively if it was indeed a rat in the garden.

We would like to thank owner of Seaview, so helpful after long journey , to find there’s was power cut in the area, they were there help us, where the caretaker did not pick or return any call or message, the owner if checked that we were ok.

Have now stayed twice at this house.
Village, house, wildlife, pub, beach, bus service that passes your door, all make this a great place to stay. There are even a pair of peacocks that seem to have the run of the village! Only minor issue is that the TV reception is "delicate", and prone to buffering

Our only quibbles with the property would be that the garden needs some urgent attention...it looks nothing like the picture on your website, and the kitchen sink taps probably need replacing, as the hot water trickles through very slowly. Location wonderful
Thank you for your feedback. We strive to keep the garden in blossom and natural but we have attended this week to ensure that the garden has a more manicured look to it. All areas have been addressed so that it corresponds more to the photo you mentioned. Regarding the kitchen tap, I can confirm that a new tap has been installed today and that the flow of the hot water is now much increased in the kitchen. We look forward to welcome you again at the end of July, when you can hopefully experience the above for yourself.

Welcome pack was ginormous! Lovely white towels and white bed linen. Kitchen well equipped with good (clean) white crockery. Conservatory really was a bonus and an ideal place to sit and watch the birds in the garden. Private parking space always a plus. As for the views - we spent so much time just looking across to the sea. Sunrise in the morning and sunset at night - all from the same viewpoint! We'll definitely be back. Would thoroughly recommend it!

We had a lovely stay in a beautiful part of the country.
The property is so close to the marshes and coast. Nearby pub and shop are fantastic. The wonderful view to the marshes is only from the front bedroom. No view from the lounge and kitchen; indeed the former gets rather dark because of the fence and high shrubs at the back. The back bedroom is overlooked by the house at the back. Conservatory is a great place to relax and does get a lot of sun. The garden could have done with a tidy up. Also be aware the hot water runs at a dribble in the kitchen and basin in the bathroom.

The view of the sea is from the front bedroom, as you mention and is also included in the Sykes written description. The property photos do only show the sea view from the front bedroom window. A feature of the garden is for it to have a natural feel due to the wildlife in the region, rather than be completely manicured. We do attend regularly with the gardeners to maintain a pleasant setting though. Regarding the hot water in the kitchen, we are looking for solutions with the plumber to increase the flow there. The shower benefits from a power shower pump.
Seaview Cottage is a fantastic place to stay for a short break.
The cottage is modern and clean. Salthouse is a wonderful village. The beach is a short walk from Seaview Cottage; we picnicked and walked to Cley and Weybourne. Salthouse Heath has great views of the church and sea. The church is amazing, with old graffiti of sailing ships. Holt is nearby for shopping. We had a brilliant time.

A beautiful cottage in a scenic and peaceful location.
We really enjoyed our stay and the cottage was well equipped with everything we could need. It was warm, clean, cosy and very comfortable. The hamper was very generous too. It was lovely to wake up to the view of the sea every morning. Bedrooms have been freshly decorated and owner told us about the new windows, which do look good. It was just a shame we couldn’t make more use of the outside space given the cooler temperature at the moment. We will definitely be returning in summer! Thank you.

Disappointed with black mould in both bedrooms, on ceiling and around window in front bedroom .
You can see mould in front bedroom on website pictures when zoomed in, worse now. Kettle could do with descaling.
Thank you for your feedback and we apologize for the less than satisfactory condition of the bedrooms. This should have been removed prior to your stay and we are terribly sorry that it was overlooked by the cleaning company. We noted this issue as the weather got colder and wetter this autumn and is not something we had encountered previously. We took action immediately and ordered new windows. On 2 December, the house had all new windows fitted upstairs to prevent this from occurring in the future. The photos were taken in November by Sykes after we wall papered the bedroom walls in September. The bedrooms have now been fully sanitised and redecorated. Again, so sorry you did not get the experience we strive to provide.
Lovely cottage with everything we needed.
Quiet, peaceful with a great view from the front bedroom over the salt marshes. The local pub and shop are very good, but you do need to book a table at The Dun Cow for evening meals. We only had one small problem, the internet was a bit flaky and we lost the Freeview channels on the TV one evening. We think this was weather related as there were thunderstorms at the time. Otherwise we couldn’t fault it. It was a holiday we had looked forward to for months and the cottage didn’t disappoint.

Nice cottage in a lovely location.
Good views from the front bedroom,only problem is it looks onto the patio of the house in front!Its got a nice little garden but its overgrown and could do with a tidy! The weather was really hot while we were there so a barbecue would have been nice.Parking is a bit tight too as there are a few other properties there.

We do have neighbours and if you look down you will see their patio. Our listing photo does show a house between us and the sea. The garden is regularly maintained and it is a feature of the house to have an abundance of trees and shrubs which is in with keeping with the local area and wildlife. Each cottage on the row has it's own generous parking space, clearly marked out for each property.

Seaview cottage is a fabulous place for a quiet getaway.
The cottage is very well maintained with everything you could wish for. Walking distance to the beach, pub and seafood restaurent. Wonderful welcome pack provided by the owners which was much appreciated. Only a short stay this time but will look forward to staying longer ASAP.

An excellent comfortable cottage with everything you’d want in a lovely area.
There are walks on the doorstep and you’re no more than a ten minute stroll to a long scenic pebble beach. If you want to switch off and relax this is a great place to stay.

Had chosen to stay in Seaview Cottage primarily because of its location in Salthouse.
The added bonus of there being a pub - The Dun Cow serving good meals, a friendly well stocked village shop Salthouse Stores, plus Cookies Crab Shop all within a short walk that could also include a stroll along the Salthouse beach made the cottage an ideal retreat. Seaview Cottage is very comfortable, and spacious for 4 guests to relax in and also well maintained. The well stocked welcome box together with fresh milk and bread in the fridge was a lovely surprise and enjoyed as we settled into our holiday. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Property generally clean, but omisssions in some areas, E.
g. between bannnisters at top of stairs where there was accumulation of dust. Kitchen: Kettle needs regular descaling as could most of tap area. Instructions for microwave would have been useful. Cleaning cloths for use in bathroom and kitchen would have been helpful. Bedrooms: Maybe tog rating of duvets could have been higher in view of cold nights. General: It would have been useful to have clear instructions for recycling/landfill etc. These comments are intended to improve user experience. Seaview Cottage is a spacious property in ideal location.

We have notified the cleaning company and the bannisters have already been addressed, apologies for this. Cleaning cloths in the kitchen are provided. The bedrooms are fitted with individual heaters which allow guests to set their desired temperature. Tog rating is a personal choice and we have tried to stay in the mid range with the heating available so the room can be set to guests desired temperature. The recycling information is included in the information folder within the home.

Very clean and had everything we required for catering for meals .Welcome box very thoughtful with high quality products ,the best we have had and stayed in many cottages. Shower excellent although the bath is high so difficult if people have knee probllems but we managed Would highly recommend and hopefully stay again

Lovely location, and well-appointed house.
All the facilities you need, comfy bed, good shower, and a really nice garden for the warmer months The pub, the Dun Cow, does outstanding food just a 10-minute stroll away (take a torch if it’s dark!), while there are great walks along the beach and between the marshes - a haven for wildlife. Only downside was the sofas being very uncomfortable, but previous comments suggest this will be changed soon. Lovely place and would definitely come back.

Lovely warm cosy cottage in a great location.
Very well equiped and decorated for Christmas. Many of the freeview chanels were unwatchable due to poor signal but smart TV compensated for this but make sure you have a netflix/prime account or take a few books. No DVD player. Sofa's looked fantastic but were possible the most uncomfortable we have ever sat on. Overall a recommended property in a great location.

It is of course a personal preference but we had been in the process of sourcing a new style in fabric rather than leather. They are due for delivery in the coming weeks. We have had the TV technician out and he informed us that occasionally the signal in the whole area can be weak. I am glad you were able to make use of the smart tv.

Lovely stay at the cottage.
Can’t really fault anything apart from probably a slip mat for the bath as we had our 2 year old with us who has a tendency to stand up in the bath. But other than that we had a lovely stay although we had to cut it short as the the weather was awful and decided to come home on the Thursday afternoon. Wouldn’t hesitate booking again

On the positive side Seaview is perhaps the cleanest property my wife & I have rented over many years, and the quality of the kitchen equipment certainly the best.
The welcome box was well chosen. The rooms are spacious, and the sun-room and secluded patio a bonus. The main problem is the pigeons, both the constant loud noise and the mess on my car. Though a very sound sleeper, I was woken at 5:30 by their noise. Seaview wouldn't be the right choice for a light sleeper.

The cottage is well equipped in the kitchen area and a nice welcome pack was good to receive. Lovely to be able to sit out in a nice secluded garden and conservatory. One minor point had I been on my own I would have struggled to open the front door from its lock position also conservatory door. My husband was able to unlock them but maybe a little oil would help. Weather was fantastic and we visited lots of places. We have an electric car so something to think about in the future would be the provision of an electric charger.

A absolutely delightful cottage with extras !
The view from the front bedroom each morning over the reed beds to the shore was wonderful, set you up for the day. The conservatory an ideal place to relax, read and watch the garden birds . Walking distance from village store. The cottage is beautifully furnished, light, comfortable and warm. Didn't want to come home.

We really enjoyed our stay at Seaview.
The cottage was lovely and the area. The conservatory and garden enabled lots of bird watching and the cottage was very comfortable and well provided for, especially with a lovely welcome box when we arrived. Only one small thing…the oven didn’t work properly. The grill worked but the oven itself would not heat up. However, we did love it there and will probably book again.

Seaview is a lovely cottage beautifully situated in the small village of Saltburn with easy access to the lovely north Norfolk coast.
It is warm, comfortable, spacious and light. The conservatory and the small garden are a delight. It is clean, well equipped and very easy to stay in. The only slight negatives are the hot tap in the kitchen runs very slowly and the conservatory door sticks..to open it ..be forceful! An instruction manual for the tv would be helpful. Thankyou, we really enjoyed our stay and I am likely to be back.

Lovely location and well appointed accommodation.
The welcome box was a very generous gesture. Just a couple of things caused concern; - The hot water taps were very meagre and slow to bring down hot water - the bath was very high to step in and out of to shower although the shower itself was very good. This may cause a safety hazard for the less able. In all it was a very enjoyable stay and would be happy to recommend.
Our second time at this property and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay again.
The cottage is in a great location with all of the facilities you could need for your stay. We also tried the local pub this time and can say that the food is excellent. We will be back!
A lovely cottage with a great view over the marshes from the front bedroom window.
Just a couple of little things could have made it top notch. A bin bag was provided in the kitchen waste bin but when we had to empty it, there was rubbish underneath that was not ours. The fridge had not been thoroughly cleaned, bits in the drawers. Quilt covers had not been buttoned up . Nothing too serious but just showed a certain carelessness which was a pity. Like other cottages please could owners leave appliance books so that you can check how they work eg. the oven and microwave. It is just so much easier to look it up in the book rather than fiddle about trying to work out how things go especially after a long journey. Clearer instructions for the key box could have been given in an email as I could not get it to work and had to phone the owner. Overall a lovely area with easy access to walks, great little shop for the basics but the Crab box was not open; too early in the season. Good pub with lovely food.

The appliance books would have been located in the cupboard to the left of the oven and microwave for your perusal. We are glad you still found the cottage to be lovely and we apologise once again for the cleaning issues.

A delightful cottage in a beautiful part of the country. We found it cosy and well equipped and convenient for visiting the surrounding area We arrived in a storm to a power cut. The owner was very helpful and the welcome box(especially the wine) brightened an otherwise dark start to our break. We will be back as soon as we can. Loved it!

The cottage was easily found and the key system worked perfectly.
On entering we were greeted with a lovely little welcome pack. A great start. The cottage was very well equipped (I do take my own wok these days!) throughout. Two comfy beds, warm quilts and superb view out across the marshes) from the front bedroom. The Cottage was always warm, ideal after some of the blustery, wet walks we had. A very good shower was well used. We hunkered down most evenings which was fine. On a personal note the sofa did not suit my back but the conservatory chair did! The Cottage location was ideal for touring the area. A straight forward loop walk from the front door to the shingle beach and back via the village store was a good start, or end, to the day. When we revisit the area If Pintail was available we would not hesitate to book again.

Excellent cottage, very well equipped kitchen (much better equipped than many we've stayed in), nice little outside area with plastic plates and bowls provided for use outside, excellent shower, comfortable beds, and that great view of the sea from the front bedroom.
Salthouse village was really nice too, great food in the Dun Cow pub, a friendly shop with all the basics, and a great location. Just a short walk down to the atmospheric shingle beach, perfect in the evenings. A great base too for exploring the coast, very easy reach of Sheringham and Wells, and easy to get inland to places like Sandringham, but much quieter than other places further down the coast.
The battery operated bedside lights were useless.
Key to back door was bent and one of the conservatory doors was stuck shut

Very well furnished and equipped especially kitchen.
We loved the conservatory and garden. Shower was powerful in contrast to hot water elsewhere which was of low pressure. Plenty of storage space. Battery bedside lamps were not adequate to read in bed.

Great location for us, keen walkers and bird lovers, so close to the shore and the marshes.
Highlights were photographing marsh harriers and hearing bittern booming. Cottage very comfortable.
