“We think Meadow View is in a great location, we've stayed at Sedgeford Hall in the past and wanted to revisit the area so your cottage fitted the bill.”

In all honesty the pictures on line were obviously taken a while ago and the cottage is looking a little tired. The paintwork downstairs could do with a refresh, the sofa in the dining area is not very comfortable, the one in the lounge is a bit better. The tv in the lounge was unpredictable, and turned itself off midst viewing several times and often the screen would just go blank for 10 or 15 seconds and then come back on again. We had an issue with the side door being difficult to unlock, which we did report, and the owners are going to get it sorted and were very approachable about the issue. We used the patio door instead but the gate is very difficult to close from the drive side as it needs to be lifted and that's not easy as there's no handle. We found the cottage well equipped, loads of towels supplied which was good, the beds were comfortable. Bizarrely no hand soap, despite supplying so many other things like salt, pepper, oil, oxo cubes, fairy liquid, loo roll, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel.................! The information folder was very useful and we really enjoyed the local walks and were thrilled that the local pub The King William has been upgraded and now serves lovely food! Absolutely great and a lovely walk via a footpath to get there. We have had a lovely holiday, and don't wish to sound negative, but that was our honest assessment.

Thanks for your feedback. We always welcome suggestions of how we can improve so will take on board all your points of view. The door is fixed. The TV does drop out very occasionally due to weather conditions, the joy of being in the middle lots of flat fields! Usually rights itself quite quickly and luckily doesn’t happen with any regality. Hand soap should be at each sink so maybe an oversight of the changeover team, apologies for any inconvenience that caused. Sofas are tricky one to resolve as comfort can be a matter of opinion but we shall review them. Kind regards, thank you Helen Property Owner

About the location

SEDGEFORD

Heacham 2.7 miles, Hunstanton 4.3 miles, King's Lynn 16 miles

The village of Sedgeford rests within the Norfolk Coast AONB, a few miles south east of Hunstanton. With a long history dating back to the Doomsday Book of 1086, there are remains of Roman architecture, Iron Age artefacts and Neolithic flint tools, suggesting the village has been inhabited for centuries. The River Heacham flows through the village, and there is a village hall, two churches, a post office and a hotel with a pub & restaurant. For keen cyclists, the National cycle route 1 passes through Sedgeford and the Peddars Way is close by and easy to access. The village of Heacham is 3 miles away, closer to the coast, with a great selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, along with a golf club and two picturesque sandy beaches. The seaside town of Hunstanton is slightly further afield, and is one of the few places on the east coast where you can observe the sun setting over the sea, and offers attractions such as a SEA LIFE Centre and Heritage Centre & Museum, as well as Old Hunstanton Beach and nearby cliffs. Explore the coast further and discover the Scolt Head Island National Nature Reserve and family-friendly Holkham Hall, with woodlands and a walled garden to enjoy.
