Enchanted Cottage

Quite cute little cottage, close to the beach in beautiful Norfolk.

Campsite seemed to have a lot going on but the glamping area was quiet at night. Can park next to cottage for easy unloading. Cottage itself though much smaller than it appeared on website and really in need of a good clean everywhere and some attention to plumbing. Kitchen area very small, fine for small meals and snacks but not really suitable for proper cooking. It was fine when we were there as we could use outside seating but on a rainy day with a family there really isn't much room inside to get the table out to eat. All in all though, we had a pleasant stay. This is more of a tent like set up than cottage though so it depends on what you're expecting.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Enchanted Cottage, it was even more Charming than it was portrayed on the website.

We particularly liked the tasteful ornaments which were scattered around the Cottage, which added a magical touch. It was great to be able to go glamping, in a completely self-contained Cottage. The Welcome pack was well thought out, and had the essentials we needed, when we first arrived. We enjoyed a leisurely stroll to the nearby beach, and watched the Sun go down. However, we would not be able to have walked there in five minutes, as advertised, even if we had walked very fast! We used the nearby amenities, including the bar on the site, and the fish and chip shop on the way back from the beach. The staff in both cases, we’re friendly and very helpful. Some of the cupboards in the kitchenette, were not left in a very clean condition, which was disappointing. We had to wash some of the crockery and glasses, before we could use them. The biggest issue, was that the outside light in front of the Cottage was not working. As a result of this I tripped, in the dark, on the uneven ground, and almost fell. This would have been serious, as I already had a broken arm, and this would have almost certainly added to my injuries. We reported this to the receptionist on the camping site, as we were leaving. Despite the above, we would definitely recommend the Enchanted Cottage, and plan to stay there again at some point.
