“We loved staying in this cottage, a family of four with a four year old and six year old.”

My daughter thought the house was "amazing" and wanted to move in. The cottage faces Beeston Common which is a dog walkers' paradise and looks over allotments at the back. We only had to walk 8 minutes to the beach and about the same to a playground with a pirate ship. Lots to do in the local area.

With access to a beach less than half a mile away, Beck View provides a great family home for those looking to escape to Norfolk. Upon arrival you are greeted by an off-road parking space, so you can easily unload your belongings. Step inside and discover the lounge, where you can put your feet up beside the woodburning stove and relax; continue through to the kitchen/diner, a light and airy space equipped with all the essentials for home-cooking, perfect for when you’re not sampling a local restaurant. A patio door leads out to the enclosed garden with furniture, providing an idyllic spot for an evening drink whilst you ponder on the holiday thus far. Alternatively, the front gravelled garden with views overlooking the common is an ideal spot for breakfast in the morning or enjoying a good book while catching the warmth of the sun during the summer months. Head upstairs and find the master bedroom, housing a king-size bed with lovely views over the common which can be enjoyed from the table and chairs within the room, whilst there is also a twin and sleek shower room. The land adjacent to the cottage also has a handy washing line and the surrounding network of streams provide an idyllic ambiance. The Blue-Flag Beach is just a short walk away, so be sure to remember your seaside essentials! Also in the same direction is the train station, where the Poppyline Steam trains regularly run from Sheringham to Holt - which is renowned for its selection of cafes, independent shops, antiques and regular annual events such as The Viking Weekend and the 1940s weekend which regularly attract thousands of visitors and transform the town. Close by are stately homes such as Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall and the royal residence at Sandringham, whilst Beeston Common and Blakeney Nature Reserve are perfect for wildlife lovers and those looking to get outdoors! Local shops and eateries can be found in the town centre, or head further afield to Cromer, Southrepps, Overstrand and Mundesley for more amenities and attractions. About the location

SHERINGHAM

Cromer 4.8 miles.

Sheringham was originally a small fishing village on the North Norfolk coast, but with the arrival of the railways in 1887 it prospered and grew into a popular holiday town. Sheringham has been awarded ten consecutive European Blue Flags for cleanliness for its beach, along with awards from Britain in Bloom, Anglia in Bloom, and Best Coastal Resort. Enjoy walking along the East or West promenades, offering sea views with blue skies and red sunsets, a beach with a silver-pebbled shoreline leading to golden sands with rock pools and streams next to ochre cliffs, local fishing boats and a RLNI lifeboat station with museum. This attractive traditional seaside town also has the 'Little Theatre', open all year round, seaside gardens with seating, a model boating lake, independent shops, tea rooms, steam railway, golfing, amusement arcades, and fish & chip shops selling locally-caught fish.
