“Good location and overall a good property.”

Unfortunately there was a lack of attention to detail regarding cleanliness. There were numerous cobwebs around the home. The shower and downstairs toilet had obvious areas that had not been cleaned for some time. We were not able to use the kettle at all during our stay as it was full of limescale as were the taps in downstairs toilet. It was a shame that basic things such as these (which should have been picked up) tarnished what would have been an otherwise very pleasant stay. These things ...

These things are resolvable so hopefully will get addressed in future.

Thanks for your comments. North Norfolk is a very hard water area so unfortunately limescale is a problem in the Sheringham area. The Bosch kettle was only purchased in April 23 so I was surprised to read you felt you couldn't use it however I have arranged to have a new descaler installed which should solve the problem. We look forward to welcoming you to BV again soon Property Owner

Upon arrival you are greeted by an off-road parking space, so you can easily unload your belongings. Step inside and discover the lounge, where you can put your feet up beside the woodburning stove and relax; continue through to the kitchen/diner, a light and airy space equipped with all the essentials for home-cooking, perfect for when you’re not sampling a local restaurant. A patio door leads out to the enclosed garden with furniture, providing an idyllic spot for an evening drink whilst you ponder on the holiday thus far. Alternatively, the front gravelled garden with views overlooking the common is an ideal spot for breakfast in the morning or enjoying a good book while catching the warmth of the sun during the summer months. Head upstairs and find the master bedroom, housing a king-size bed with lovely views over the common which can be enjoyed from the table and chairs within the room, whilst there is also a twin and sleek shower room. The land adjacent to the cottage also has a handy washing line and the surrounding network of streams provide an idyllic ambiance. The Blue-Flag Beach is just a short walk away, so be sure to remember your seaside essentials! Also in the same direction is the train station, where the Poppyline Steam trains regularly run from Sheringham to Holt - which is renowned for its selection of cafes, independent shops, antiques and regular annual events such as The Viking Weekend and the 1940s weekend which regularly attract thousands of visitors and transform the town. Close by are stately homes such as Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall and the royal residence at Sandringham, whilst Beeston Common and Blakeney Nature Reserve are perfect for wildlife lovers and those looking to get outdoors! About the location

SHERINGHAM

Cromer 4.8 miles.

Sheringham was originally a small fishing village on the North Norfolk coast, but with the arrival of the railways in 1887 it prospered and grew into a popular holiday town. Sheringham has been awarded ten consecutive European Blue Flags for cleanliness for its beach, along with awards from Britain in Bloom, Anglia in Bloom, and Best Coastal Resort. Enjoy walking along the East or West promenades, offering sea views with blue skies and red sunsets, a beach with a silver-pebbled shoreline leading to golden sands with rock pools and streams next to ochre cliffs, local fishing boats and a RLNI lifeboat station with museum. This attractive traditional seaside town also has the 'Little Theatre', open all year round, seaside gardens with seating, a model boating lake, independent shops, tea rooms, steam railway, golfing, amusement arcades, and fish & chip shops selling locally-caught fish.
