Beck View

We have stayed at Beck View a number of times and I love it!

It's comfortable, well equipped and in a great location. Parking is easy and the beach and Beeston Bump are only a short walk away. Simply great for dogs and their humans!

Quaint cottage, no garden for children but common opposite.

That said for an adults only group which we were it was perfectly situated just a short walk from Sheringham. Very peaceful with the added bonus of being able to watch monkjack deer in the allotment at dawn and dusk. Would definitely return.

Lovely cottage within walking distance to Sheringham on the flat no hills,very quiet and picturesque, has everything you need for a relaxing stay, also a plus car parking space.

Lovely cottage, everything you need in a self catering holiday, main bedroom plenty of storage for clothes.

Bed really comfortable which matters to my wife due to a medical condition. Location fantastic 5 mins to centre of Sheringham restaurants places of interest don't miss out on the museum and if 1st Sunday of any month craft market at Holt. 4 miles from Cromer another nice seaside town. Directly outside front door is the common fantastic to walk the dog. Lovely place will no doubt be back.

This is a great property in a great location with great owners.

A really quiet situation yet close to shops, pubs and all the attractions of Sheringham. We will be back for sure.

Beck View is a lovely cottage, comfortable and well presented with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

It is light, airy and peaceful. The location is perfect, and ideal for the dog, overlooking the common at the front and allotments at the back and only a short walk to the town centre and beach. The very generous welcome pack was unexpected and was a nice touch.

It was well equipped and set out. The location was very peaceful, yet only a short walk in to Sheringham. We found some great walks with our dog Nigel.

A cosy cottage, in a quiet location and very clean.

Lovely area to walk the dogs and not far to the beach. We were there in the winter months where most places closed but still found the cottage wonderful to get back to for relaxing with a cup of tea.

Perfect house and perfect location.

Very clean and had everything you could possibly need for a stay in Sheringham. Close to the town and beach. Great that we could take our two dogs aswell. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend.

The description on the Sykes site is misleading regarding parking.

In one section it mentions parking for one car and in another for two cars. In reality the parking can be problematic, is shared with other cottages and there are not enough spaces for all the cottages. You cannot access the property by parking outside. There is a path of sorts, with a hole in it and it is slippery and muddy. There is a warning about this in the information pack in the property, too late to be of use once you have already negotiated this in the rain, in the dark with luggage. There is no freezer compartment in the fridge, I feel this should be made clear. Uncomfortable sofas. Tiny bathroom. On the plus side the beds are comfortable, the linen is very good quality. The property was clean. There is a warning about the steep stairs but there is a hand rail on either side which was really helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

The cottage is a wonderful location, very quiet and within easy walking distance of Sheringham and Beeston bump.

The cottage is very warm and comfortable with everything you could need. The only thing is that the sofa's are a bit tired and the back cushions need a lot of plumping up, they could do with replacing. I would definitely return to Beck Cottage.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Beck View it was very clean comfortable and so well placed being only 5 minutes walk to the beach and the Common outside the front door, perfect for walking our dog and walking distance to Sherringham with all the amenities and shops you could wish for in a seaside holiday!

Lovely cottage with cosy feel in a peaceful tranquil setting.

Only a few minutes walk to the sea or town centre. We have previously stayed in the area and this was a big improvement. It was a treat to not worry about flooring with dogs and also have an efficient vacuum cleaner - National Trust and English Heritage could learn lessons. Hopefully we will revisit.

Beck View is a lovely modern cottage with everything you need for a comfortable warm stay.

To the front is a delightful view of Beeston Common and the view to the rear is good overlooking allotments. There is an enclosed seating area lined with plants safe for your dog.

Excellent situation - the Common at the front and allotments at the back, and a short walk into town.

A well equipped and nicely converted cottage just a short walk from the centre of Sheringham and its dog friendly pubs and eateries.

Parking was easy and the cottage is also just a short drive from a number of NT properties and local beaches.

We only had 3 days at Beck view but we were delighted with the cottage.

It was very clean and tidy and had everything you needed. There were plenty of walks near by.

Our second visit to Beck View and we weren’t disappointed.

Lovely location, very calm and peaceful but within walking distance of Sheringham centre, Beeston Bump and Beeston Common and close to many other attractions. Dog friendly, comfortable and welcoming cottage with a real home from home character. We will definitely be returning again.

It’s nice and modern throughout, spacious and in a great location. Only a 5 minute walk from Sheringham town centre. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Sheringham and we’ll definitely be returning.

Felt very much at home at Beck View.

It is a cottage in a nice part of Sheringham within walking distance to the sea front and the town which has pubs, restaurants and of course shops! We were able to park easily.

Great cottage in a good location close to beach and amenities.

The cottage was very clean and welcoming the out side area is lovely one improvement I would recommend would be to make the grass area part of the enclosed garden we will definitely be returning

Overall, a lovely, characterful cottage, situated very well.

It lies on the Beeston Common, close to the beach, Sheringham town centre, and the Beeston Bump. No shortage of things to do and a comfortable place to spend a few days or a week.

Proximity to the coast and town a bonus, with plenty of areas to walk the dog.

A nice house, I'm used to a small house, and steep stairs, so not a problem for me.

I didn't like the floorboards upstairs, much prefer a carpeted floor. Nice downstairs, and i got the heating to work....shouldn't need it in July though!

Characterful, comfortable and well appointed cottage in lovely location.

Lots of personality and personal touches that added to its charm. We had a great time and all loved it, the enclosed garden was perfect and our dog enjoyed all the places for walks that were accessible from the garden gate. We would definitely recommend and book again.

I enjoyed my stay.

The location was great. The cottage was good for what I needed. The only area that could do with some improvement would be the shower. The water pressure and flow was poor. Overall good value.

Good location and overall a good property.

Unfortunately there was a lack of attention to detail regarding cleanliness. There were numerous cobwebs around the home. The shower and downstairs toilet had obvious areas that had not been cleaned for some time. We were not able to use the kettle at all during our stay as it was full of limescale as were the taps in downstairs toilet. It was a shame that basic things such as these (which should have been picked up) tarnished what would have been an otherwise very pleasant stay. These things are resolvable so hopefully will get addressed in future.

Beck View is a lovely cottage to stay in.

Unfortunately the weather was not on my side during my 3 night stay but obviously in the good weather the local walks with my dog would have been even better. The cottage is situated well with regard to the town and other nearby places to go. So all in all a good cottage the have a holiday in.

We loved staying in this cottage, a family of four with a four year old and six year old.

My daughter thought the house was "amazing" and wanted to move in. The cottage faces Beeston Common which is a dog walkers' paradise and looks over allotments at the back. We only had to walk 8 minutes to the beach and about the same to a playground with a pirate ship. Lots to do in the local area.

The cottage was smaller than expected, Not an issue but the entrance hall very small, nowhere to hang wet coats or dry a dog.

The downstairs toilet had no heating, a heated towel rail would be useful. The stairs were steep but not unexpected, but alarmed that the main bedroom entrance was right at top of stairs worried of the risk of falling down stairs if getting out of bed during night as there was no dimmed light to leave on. Could be rectified by adding dimmer switch to hall light. Tried leaving the bathroom light on but the bathroom fan could not be isolated from the light and fan was very noisy so could not be left on, so I left a torch alight on the landing. Bed in main bedroom we found to be very uncomfortable, No allocated parking space for this cottage, but was ample parking space along track, but several houses appeared unoccupied, suspect during peak season parking maybe an issue. Cottage was in walking distance of town and beach, plenty of dog walking from the door.

Close to Sheringham High Street you can walk in but lovely dog walks from the doorstep. Will be back later in the year..

Beautiful cottage in a scenic location very close to Sheringham amenities.

Cottage is well equipped and very comfortable. Cannot fault, highly recommend!

It is a lovely little house, clean and comfortable full of amenities.

Our drawbacks were 1. My old age. I struggled to walk up the slope to get to the car. 2. My son’s asthma, which was aggravated by the grasses of Beeston Common, so we left a day early. What an shame! Apart from these problems we were very happy. Many thanks from Audrey Tarry ( aged 91 )
