“This is a characterful little cottage in a traditional 'close' of working folk's dwellings, in which a family of 5 was raised almost still within living memory.”
It makes a neat retreat for a couple with dogs, with plenty of interesting / scenic walking and very handy for any shopping and eating-out.
It is within easy earshot of pubs that have shanty-singers and others making music on their terraces on warm summer evenings, and there's a smaller pub right opposite where locals were chatting outside beyond midnight on one occasion (but with no particularly awkward loud noise / music, no drunkenness or aggression nor anything like that ~ just pleasant ...

Parking a couple of minutes' walk away, on a reasonable enough weekly permit, wasn't a problem at all.
We had all sorts of weather during our week in early July: the cottage was welcomely cool when we needed it!
Having a bathtub in the bedroom, as well as a shower in the en-suite, was a definite bonus.
Plenty to do and see in and around this friendly little town, lovely varied coastal scenery and other interesting places to explore within quite easy driving radius.
It'd be interesting to have had a Visitors' Book (as a lot of other comparable properties do), to see who else had been and what they made of it, but we certainly enjoyed and appreciated our stay.
