“Unfortunately we got off to a bad start at Happy Place with a delayed entry to the house of one and a half hours, because the cleaners were running late.”

The mattresses on the double beds were extremely uncomfortable and the hot water stopped working two days before we came home, not the fault of the owners - a pump had stopped working and was replaced after we left. Goodwill compensation offered is pending. However, we all loved the house. Happy Place is a happy place to be. It is bright, airy, spacious and beautifully decorated. Goodwill compensation offered is pending. However, we all loved the house. Happy Place is a happy place to be. It is bright, airy, spacious and beautifully decorated. A lot of time and thought has gone into fabric and furnishings creating an attractive place to stay. The vanity mirror and make up area on the first floor is a thoughtful touch and much enjoyed. The garden and games room were nice too. It is only a short easy walk into the centre of Sheringham and parking in the side road was easy. If it wasn't for the beds we would rebook.

“Lovely house, great space & decoration.”

Well equipped, however the large dinner plates didn’t fit in the dishwasher & the pots & pans were fairly small for cooking for 6 adults & had seen better days. Great location for the town, everything was within close proximity. Garden space was lovely & needed a bit of TLC. The shower was lovely & powerful. Overall a very pleasant stay!!

“Great location.”

Off street parking was fine. Easy to find. Nice decor and very bright and fresh Welcoming pack much appreciated. We had a great break but Baluster broken, tap head came off as did a couple of door knobs Beds very uncomfortable. Floor tiles in downstairs WC coming up and form a trip hazard. Old socks and sweet wrappers under furniture

Thank you for your comments we’re really pleased you enjoyed the location and decor. Sorry for the issues you experienced. The baluster and tap have since been repaired, as there are two sinks in the bathroom, hopefully it helped minimise any inconvenience. We’ll look at the door knobs, as it’s the first we’ve heard of this. New flooring is scheduled to be replaced in the WC shortly and we’ll address the missed cleaning items with our housekeeping team. The spring mattresses are new this season and haven’t had much use yet, but we appreciate your comments and will look at adding toppers to improve comfort. Property Owner

“Lovely well appointed holiday let with all the essentials with little extras of milk and cake, very much appreciated.”

Five minute walk into Sheringham and train station which is a lovely old school resort, would not hesitate to stop here again and would recommend to anyone thinking of visiting the area

“A fantastic cottage/house very clean, great rooms, all the equipment we could possibly need, bathrooms, showers brilliant, however the whole experience was ruined by the extremely uncomfortable double beds, I can honestly say I have never slept on such an uncomfortable bed, if you just put a thick topper on the top this would improve the bed 100%, everything else was perfect the proximity to town etc was great.”

The radiator in the child’s room on the top floor didn’t work Many thanks for the stay if you sort the beds out I’m sure we would come again and tell all of our clients and friends about this lovely place “Happy Place”

Many thanks for your comments. The spring mattresses are new this season and haven’t had much use yet, well monitor comments and look at adding toppers to improve comfort. We’ll arrange for the radiators to be looked at, appreciate the feedback! Property Owner

“Great property and great location!”

We had a lovely holiday with our friends and children. Very secure place and the children loved the table football. It would have been nice if there were a few more cupboard essentials salt, pepper, other condiments etc We would of marked 5 stars but only main issue we found the bedrooms at the front and both at the very top never warmed up and being February it was very cold! Radiators were on but not powerful enough to heat such big rooms. Twin room at the top radiator never came on, children slept fine but would be worth getting that radiator checked out. That being said, we would definitely return and recommend this accommodation.

“Great location.”

No problems with parking at the property. Easy access and felt safe. Clean and comfortable property with lots of good quality crockery , cookware etc. Would have been useful to have bin liners, loo roll and dish towels to make it 5*

Sheringham was originally a small fishing village on the North Norfolk coast, but with the arrival of the railways in 1887 it prospered and grew into a popular holiday town.
