Highland House

This is a spacious and comfortable home in a great location and we had a good experience apart from two things.

One was that towels are not provided. We found out about this at the last minute, and only by reading reviews written by others. The owner had left a sign at the house explaining that towels were not part of the deal and that Sykes should have informed us of this, and pointing out that we could buy them at Tesco. We agree that Sykes should make it clear in the description of the property rather than stating that towels are usually provided in most properties and leaving it up to us to do the research. it felt rather penny-pinching to us although it gave us lots of opportunities to poke fun at people who won't wash a few towels when the best launderette in north Norfolk is literally down the road. Our second disappointment was that the induction hob didn't work properly, so when you had something cooking on one ring and then put another pan on a different ring, the temperature of the first ring reduced. We rang the owner to ask if we needed to do something to make it work properly but he just said he would look at it when he next came to the property. Although these two issues affected our experience slightly, overall we enjoyed our stay. This place is not cheap and so we had hoped for something a bit more special.

had a great week,lucky with the weather ,parking at the rear of the property wasnt suitable for our vehicles but there was spaces to the front of the property.

A grab rail would be useful tto assist getting in and out of the bath,also an outdoor brolly over the table.We would certainly come again very convenient for the town center and near by Tesco.

We had a wonderful time time at Highland House,it was very clean,comfortable,well equipped and close to all amenities.

Owner was very obliging and we hope to return

Very well equipped, super comfy beds,excellently maintained. Lovely quiet road yet very close to the high Street and sea front. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

Lovely quiet house.

Very spacious with everything you’ll need. Lovely and cosy too. Great spot for walking across the cliff tops or to pop out for a meal. It’s great for your furry friends to, as the garden is fully enclosed. Definately worth a visit.

Highland House is beautifully presented, spacious and well equipped.

Large secure garden (with sensor lights).... excellent for the dogs and with patio furniture - something we'd definitely use in warmer weather. Grandchildren were delighted with the Christmas Tree and decorations. Boxes of Lego, a wooden train set and boards games supplied were a bonus. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will be returning again soon!

We’ve stayed at this property before and seen a couple of negative changes.

No bath towels when previously supplied, and removed back door key renders rear parking useless, and awkward that you can’t enter from the back when returning with wet dogs! Otherwise very comfortable, lack of a washing machine especially in wet weather a negative, kitchen not best equipped and bottom oven didn’t work

We had a lovely stay at Highlands House, the property is very clean and spacious.

Kitchen is very well equipped and there is a very nice outside area with table and chairs which would have been well used if the weather had been better. Would not hesitate to book again as there is lots to do around the Sheringham area, would be good to come back in the summer.

A clean, well maintained house that was perfect for our short break at the end of October.

You will need to take bath towels as only hand towels were provided, this was mentioned in the description, presumably by the property owner, so we were aware, but it also states under the what's provided (by Sykes?) Towels. The garden was well maintained and secure for the dogs. Off road parking is available at the rear of the property but we parked outside the front on the road. Just up the hill from the property, about a 5-10 minute walk is a nature reserve, which is part of the Norfolk coastal path and below a beautiful sandy beach. I would definitely book again especially as there's so much to do in North Norfolk.

A Lovely House and very clean and comfortable stay, The garden was also very clean and well maintained, Very close to all the shops and pubs, and the beach.

An excellent stay, Will go back again.
