West Farm

West Farm is a beautiful property.

It's very well maintained internally and externally. The view from the property is lovely and it's a very quiet location. The property had absolutely everything we would need. The little extra touches definitely didn't go unnoticed. The property was lovely and clean on arrival, the only thing I would say is the bathrooms ( and downstairs shower room) are looking a little tired in places. The sealant round the bottom is black etc. We would definitely recommend West Farm for a nice, quiet holiday. Being so close to Great Yarmouth was handy, the children love the rides!

West Farm is a great place to stay.

This was our second visit with all the family and we loved it. The location is excellent, so peaceful. Yet so close to the village of Caister and all the other places to visit. The accommodation is perfect and great for families. We will be back.

What a wonderful place.

As other reviews have said, everything has been thought of. Comfortable, spacious, well equipped, beautiful views, close to lots of attractions. We were a family group of grandparents, parents and 4 children and we all had a lovely time and will definately recommend this accommodation.

We enjoyed watching the horses in the fields opposite the property as well as the deer and wildlife that came into the garden - quiet location but a good near the town and local amenities .

The house is amazing.

Karen has put so much thought into her guests needs. Its those little touches like the cling film and foil and the welcome cakes, which I might add were delicious that make the house welcoming. The house was spotless and there was plenty of room for out party of 10. The upstairs attic room was allocated to my twin grandaughters 14 and they loved it. There are plenty of bathrooms with baths and or showers. The view was beautiful and we loved watching the horse being put out to the fields in the mornng. We did not feel we were tripping over each other at any time. I would strongly recommend this to anyone with a large group it is ideal for family get togethers like we have just done. It was also comforting to know that Karen was on hand if we needed her. We intend return.

We visited West Farm as a family of 10, 7 adults and 3 children (aged 3, 1 and 5 months).

The owners had thought of everything, there were stair gates at the top and bottom of all stairs which was a life saver with young children. There were also travel cots and toddler toilet seats. We also used the washing machine as our baby goes through a lot of muslins and bibs! The owners were kind enough to leave us cakes and milk and the kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need including all the bits you would usually have to provide yourself (fairy liquid/ scourers/ towels and tea towels/ cling film, tin foil etc). My 3 year old daughter loved watching the horses in the opposite field. The location was very remote so driving is necessary but it was so peaceful, we will definitely be returning! Also the local Chinese the owners had recommended on their list in the kitchen was delicious.

Excellent holiday cottage.

We love the location with the horses as immediate neighbours and so much wildlife. The property is great, good size, all the facilities you'll need and lovely and clean. Easy check in and out process. We even had nice weather in September so a great holiday was had by all.

Fantastic property with superb scenery very spacious , everything within the property to make you feel at home , had a fantastic family holiday 10/10 , will definitely be back soon availability permitting

The property was is excellent, and kept immaculately, with beautiful views across a marsh to Yarmouth, set on a quiet working farm. We will book for longer next time.

Only one minor thing the downstairs shower room needs a bit of updating.

But the rest of the house is superb. Location fantastic, furnishings beautiful. We will return.

Fantastic holiday cottage, though ‘cottage’ hardly does it justice.

It’s a very big house ideal for multi- generational holidays. Second time we’ve been here and not likely to be the last. It’s so peaceful and the children loved spotting the wildlife. Deer, rabbits, swans, herons, egrets, horses, all kinds of marsh birds and the highlight was waiting for the barn owl to take flight every evening. Karen is the perfect host. We love it.

Rooms were immaculate, lovely location and beautiful views.

The cakes left by the hosts were a nice touch ! Thank you.

A truly special week with three generations celebrating three birthdays.

West Farm is in a wonderful location and so fascinating for children as the view from the window is often of wildlife ........ and tractors, a great favourite with the younger ones. The house itself is very comfortable and well stocked. Nothing was overlooked by the owners. There is plenty to do for children in this area whatever the weather. We filled our week up with local walks from the house itself, visits to Thrigby Wildlife Park in Filby, to Wroxham for the steam railway and Miniature World, the beach for digging and Great Yarmouth for the big wheel and noise! A great week was had by all.

The house had everything we could possibly need during our stay.

Especially for people with children as they have steps and toddler toilet seats. The location is incredibly peaceful yet close to amenities. The welcome cake was a lovely surprise too and went down well with everyone. The house has ample space and was thoroughly cleaned. I genuinely cannot think of a single negative thing to say about the house and owner.

The property is exceptionally clean and has everything you could possibly need.

It stands opposite fantastic views which greet you every morning. The hosts were very welcoming and had left cake and fresh milk which was a kind thought. We were a party of four generations ranging from 1 yr to 74 yrs and much thought had been given to stair gates which were at every possible entrance to stairs, so little ones are safe. Without doubt it is the best property we have ever stayed in and consequently will recommend it to friends and family. 100% - 5* Thank you, Sue - 'the oldie'.

Wow, what a property, without doubt the best equipped self catering cottage we have visited.

We always take lots of kitchen utensils and equipment but West Farm is so well equipped we didn’t need our items. We were a family of 8, 3 adults and 5 children aged 3 - 8 years and the space both indoor and outdoor was excellent. The property is first class with the attention to detail in every room. We can’t speak too highly of West Farm.

Brilliant place.

Ultra comfortable and so peaceful. We all loved it and could have sat on the sofas just watching a bit of rural life for all our holiday. Unfortunately, the children had other ideas and wanted to go to the beach which is very close.

West Farm is a great house to rent in a fantastic location.

The house has every amenity you could wish for and is very clean and relaxing. The view across the fields as you wake up in the morning is exceptional. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

We had a lovely stay at West Farm and would thoroughly recommend it.

It’s a perfect base for getting out and about and the property is beautiful and if a very high standard. Mattresses were a bit hard but maybe that’s how many people prefer them. Also could do with a few more towel rails to dry off towels when the heating is off. Other than that it was very well equipped especially the amazing kitchen.

We loved the property.

Well maintained, clean, serene colour scheme and nice room layout with plenty of seating! Only reason for lower scores is that the mattress could be a little more comfy, but it’s fine for a few days or week away! Also dining chairs could do with slightly thicker cushions!! But it’s not anything to complain about, just if you wanted 10/10

the family were extremely impressed with the accommodation and location, it was very comfortable, clean and well equipped.

beds were very comfortable. outlook was pleasant to sit in lounge and just relax with the view. it is well situated for a variety of nearby places such as Gt Yarmouth etc. the first words from my family was that they are not leaving.

The farmhouse was beautifully decorated, very well equipped and in a very tranquil location.

I feel that a check-in time of 1700 hours is way too late, (although we were actually able to enter the property at 1610 hours). Similarly the check-out time on online notifications was 0900 hours, but the in house information sheet stated check-out at 1000 hours, which was more reasonable. I also think owners should flag up if any part of the access to the property is along a single track road, just so that we can be aware.

We stayed at West Farm for a week in June.

The house was perfect for us, lots of space , well equipped and beautifully clean throughout. Lovely garden for the 3 year old to run about in and a good table and chairs to enjoy the sunshine . It is in a lovely location overlooking countryside and very peaceful and quiet . We had a warm welcome and a delicious homemade cake on our arrival which was very much appreciated. Lovely property with ample space for two families!

Lots of facilities and well stocked kitchen. Things that would help: a shower over the bath in the bathroom upstairs and a new handheld hoover..

3 generations of our family had a wonderful Christmas in this house, we enjoyed the peace and quiet, wonderful veiws and walks, the house was warm, clean and comfortable ,there was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy reading or watching tv or all sit sit together in the lounge, the beds were comfortable ,excellent showers, the kitchen was very well equiped and the boot room provided extra cold storage for drinks etc, as well as muddy boots !

Beautiful house to stay in.

What a really nice place spotlessly clean with all you need for your stay.

Pleasantly surprised to find additional bathroom on ground floor that was not listed making this a 3 bathroom property. It is set in a peaceful location with great views over open countryside towards Great Yarmouth.

We had a lovely week.

The cottage was delightful and the owner's very friendly. The home made cake and milk in the fridge on arrival was a lovely touch. We'll be back.

Stunning location and amazing property decorated to extremely high standard.

Attention to detail with everything at hand that you could possibly require. Karen had made a cake to welcome us and it was most appreciated after a long seven hours journey in pouring rain. One of the most relaxing holidays I have ever had. Just being able to sit out on the patio watching the horses, listening to the birds and watching the swans and heron, absolute bliss. Highly recommend this property and hope to come back some time soon

We had a fabulous family break at West Farm which is well situated for exploring the Broads and day trips into Caister and Gt.

Yarmouth. There are a number of good places to eat nearby. The accommodation itself is amazing and extremely comfortable. It was sparkling clean and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The owners were very helpful indeed. We have no hesitation in recommending West Lodge and hope to return there ourselves.

Peaceful quiet location, my type of holiday

Loved the house, the decor, the facilities, the location.

Owners are attentive. I'd go again, use it as base to tour round the Broads. Especially good for family gatherings and children!
