    We were able to ask for help or clarify anything we needed as we weren't from the area. It is a budget holiday so you aren't going to get bells and whistles but you do get a really great break in a lovely, albeit slightly dated, space with most the necessities for what you pay, so it's worth it depending on your priorities at the time. I would suggest perhaps having a kitchen towel roll and a cleaning spray for tables/surfaces. Otherwise, getting your shopping delivered is handy and bring ...

Otherwise, getting your shopping delivered is handy and bring along your own fire wood as there wasn't any there (but I didn't Tony for any to be fair as I did have my own, so there might have been some available had I asked). The stairs and additional mattress beds on the floor will not be suitable for taller or older people in my opinion just due to the logistics and size but our little ones were fine and loved it! Outside space is limited and exactly as you see in the pictures but there is lots to drive to if you've got a driver with you and it's all very beautiful indeed and I was even able to work from the bench outside with a cuppa as we were able to catch some lovely autumn sun. We were warm, cosy and away from the hustle & bustle of the city which is what we really wanted.

Situated in the rural hamlet of West End close to Bradenham in the heart of Norfolk, this cosy conversion of a former stable block is only two miles from the lovely village of Necton.

With three bedrooms – one ground floor double and two twins in the eaves – this cottage is able to sleep a total of six people so is ideal for a family.

The property also comes with the shared use of three and a half acres of landscaped gardens with a stream – ideal for a summer-evening stroll, a picnic or ball games.

Swaffham 5 miles; Dereham 6 miles; Norwich 22 miles.

The thriving village of Necton is situated at the heart of Norfolk, between the market towns of Swaffham and Dereham, and hosts a welcoming pub with restaurant, a village store with butcher’s and a post office, whilst an impressive Norman church dominates the village and boasts a beautiful carved oak communion table dating back to 1086 and a wonderful Jacobean pulpit. Visit Bradenham Hall, a fine Georgian house with over 27 acres of beautiful gardens and arboretum, reputed to have been visited by Lord Nelson, or enjoy the infamous Peddars Way and the Norfolk Coastal Path, offering 93 tranquil miles of picturesque Norfolk countryside close by, great for walking, cycling and horse riding. The pretty market town of Dereham is just 6 miles away offering a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants and a local farmers' market every fortnight. Plenty to see and do in this lovely location.
