“This was our 1st time at The Cart Shed.”

We were very happy with our stay. It was five minutes away from our daughters who lives in the village. It had everything that we needed, a lovely walk in shower, very comfortable bed, although a bit too warm for my personal taste. We will definitely be booking again and hopefully seeing the grounds in full bloom. Thank you to Jane and James.

“Great location spotlessly clean and everything you need.”

Shower head needs replacing as leaking. For us the only downfall was the loud music and foul language from next door. It could be heard above the television and closed doors.

“We really enjoyed staying at the cart shed.”

It is set in a lovely peaceful and tranquil place where you can really relax and unwind with a abundance of wildlife.We even had a deer on the garden one of the mornings.We would definately go back again and we were both sad to leave.It was so comfortable and spotlessly clean.We even played tennis one day which was great fun.We would highly reccomend the the cart shed and im sure we will return one day.

“North Norfolk is a favourite destination and I think The Cart Shed has now become our favourite accommodation!”

The owners have carried out a first class conversion from, as the name suggests, a farmyard store, to a cosy luxurious cottage for two. There was everything that you could ever need for a self-catering break and this is a property with all-year-round use with the provision of underfloor heating for those chilly evenings while in the summer months, full width glass doors provide uninterrupted views across the opposite meadow, with grazing sheep during our visit. Located down a quiet lane but easy to find and not far from main (for Norfolk!) roads, there's a tranquil atmosphere and the lack of traffic noise means that you can hear birdsong constantly, and little else. The owners, Jane and James live in the adjacent farmhouse and were always available although not needed but a very useful local area guidebook was a great help. All in all, a real gem and highly recommended.

“The property was in an excellent position with excellent views and a lovely quiet location to appreciate the nature.”

The property was of a high standard and we have no complaints in any way as it was as described and in excellent condition. The only comments I suggest are a set of headphones for the TV as if one wants to read or go to bed then the other can not watch the TV due to being in the same room or advise customers to bring a set. The other is some dimmable lighting on perhaps just the pendant lights to give more subdued light when sitting. Please do not take this as a criticism but only as a suggestion as we had a wonderful stay.

Perfect for 2 people, it is cosy & everything is really clean. If it is warm enough there is a lovely place to sit at the front of the property where you can watch the sheep in the field opposite. We watched the bats flying around and spotted a Tawny Owl and barn owls right from the door (we could hear the too ) The owners were friendly and informative without being intrusive. We definitely would stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property.

The Cart Shed is a delightful barn conversion which can be found in a remote area of East Anglia, close to the coast of Norfolk. There is one mezzanine bedroom on the third floor of the cottage, and a wetroom, and the property is suitable to sleep up to two people. Inside is a lovely open-plan living space composing of a kitchen, living, and dining area. Outside is a shared courtyard with your own private barbecue, alongside shared tennis courts and playing fields. the Cart Shed is a splendid property for couples looking for a romantic getaway in an idyllic setting. Willow Grange Barns

Willow Grange Barns are three barns formed from the conversion of old farm buildings, situated in a peaceful and rural part of Norfolk. Being centrally located, Willow Grange Barns provide a great location from which to explore all that Norfolk has to offer. Whether that is the stunning countryside and coastline or, the calm of the Broads National Park. With a range of historic and heritage sites on offer in the area - such as Sandringham, Blickling, Norwich castle and cathedral, Walsingham and Oxburgh to name but a few – there is plenty to see and do. Fantastic opportunities exist for bird watching and with the property positioned on a quiet lane in gently rolling countryside, it also makes a brilliant base from which to enjoy the pursuits of cycling or walking - no matter the time of year.

Willow Grange Barns are situated a mile from the main village of Stanfield, a small quiet Norfolk village and centrally located for country routes that provide a gateway to many of Norfolk’s attractions. The nearest village shop / post office is less than 2 miles away in Mileham. Once an important centre on the east to west route across Norfolk - as evidenced by the remains of a 12th century motte and bailey castle. Brisley offers the nearest village pub / restaurant 2.5 miles distant. A little further afield are Litcham and North Elmham offering village pubs, shops and a tea room. For a full range of shops, bars, restaurants and other amenities, head to either; Dereham, a market town, home to the ‘Mid-Norfolk Railway’ and easy access to the A47 or; Fakenham, with a regular Thursday market / country auction sale and a National Hunt racecourse. The nearby Gressenhall Museum offers you a fascinating journey through the story of rural Norfolk. A real working farm and the opportunity to step back in time and browse around an old village shop, school and cottage, is a great family experience. Houghton Hall, which regularly holds art exhibitions and cultural events is also close by. Pensthorpe Natural Park is a must-see whilst in the area, boasting a 700-acre reserve and conservation park with interactive trails and eco play areas providing something for both children and adults to enjoy. Take time to discover the Norfolk coastline, seaside towns, quaint villages and fantastic beaches. Wells-next-the-sea and nearby Holkham are two of the best and Wells is an interesting place to visit all-year round, with its range of shops, cafes and award winning fish & chips overlooking the harbour. No trip to Norfolk would be complete without spending a day in the historic and fine City of Norwich with its Norman Castle, Cathedrals (Anglican and Catholic), medieval market place, antiquated shopping lanes, art galleries and theatres. Within easy travelling distance from Stanfield you can explore the Broads National Park, Thetford Forest, Sandringham House, Blickling Hall, Cromer Pier and the historic maritime town of King’s Lynn.
