We needed to borrow 'normal' armchairs from various rooms for TV viewing. Also, on the rare sunny days we had, it would have been nice to to find some cushions for the sun loungers. I know the cottage is 'high-tec' and included a dishwasher but, for the more analogue guests, it would have been great to find even a simple plastic dish drainer tucked away under the sink. It's probably an age thing but many of us still do washing-up 'old school'. To sum up, though, we really enjoyed our stay at Birch Cottage and were grateful for the welcoming biscuits & milk provided by Barbara.
