Lovely place in quiet area - cottage was comfortable and well equipped would definitely recommend

What a lovely place to stay!

The cottage is clean, comfortable and well equipped. It is well located and it was just delightful to have such a beautiful garden full of birds (and cats!) outside.Thank you so much Ann and Terry, we will definitely be back some time!

We had a lovely stay at Norbank Cottage .

Ann and Terry have created an amazing space with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay . They are perfect hosts . The bird life in the beautiful garden was fabulous and added to our enjoyment of our stay . The woodpeckers were wonderful to watch. We had never been to this part of the country and we found some lovely places to visit . Lavenham, Bury St Edmunds , Framlingham and Bressingham Steam Gardens were amongst our favourites . Would highly recommend a stay at Norbank cottage .

A wonderful cottage, cosy and comfortable, with everything you need for a lovely stay.

The whole cottage is spotless, and has lovely little touches which make it very homely. It is in beautiful grounds within the owners immaculate garden.

For peace and tranquility Norbank cottage is the place to go.

It's quirky, faultlessly clean, has a well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Second visit for my wife and I. Just across the road is Bressingham steam museum and gardens that is well worth a visit.

A comfortable place to completely switch off.

Very helpful hosts, friendly and professional. We had a lovely week and our garden surroundings were really beautiful; even in the depths of winter. Lots of wildlife to watch from the comfort of your armchair, a daily woodpecker and a small flocks of finches, long tailed tits and their cousins great and blue. Moonlight every night complete with clear views of the night sky, excellent! Small and well equipped Norbank Cottage with it's comfortable beds is a great place to stay.

A lovely little cottage that's tucked away from the main road and very quiet.

It's small but I was on my own so that didn't matter too much. It is nicely furnished with everything you need for a short stay.

Norbank is a pleasant basic little cottage with the accomodation in one space over two levels and situated off a mostly quiet lane in the grounds of the owners lovely garden.

We enjoyed our stay there and found lots to do within about an hour throughout Norfolk and Suffolk.

Norbank Cottage was perfect for the two of us to relax from our busy lives.

It was very comfortable and peaceful. There was a television which we never switched on, even for the novelty of not having one at home! Anne and Terry are very welcoming along with their cats who liked to call in, especially when they smelt the crab! Lovely garden too.

Owners were very friendly and helpfull.

Good walking area. Bressingham Gardens were superb and the Forncett museum was very interesting

We needed a quiet place to stay after a stressful time and Norbank was perfect.

A wonderful little cottage, with everything you need for a relaxing break away.

A lovely bottle of wine and yummy biscuits were there on arrival as a gift from the owners, which was very much appreciated. Glorious garden surroundings, which you can use as you wish, and nothing was too much trouble for the owners to ensure my stay was comfortable.

The property was perfect for my needs, I really enjoyed my stay and the gardens are lovely.

I was able to visit Southwold and Beccles for days out and had some really lovely walks in the two nearby nature reserves and saw lots of wildlife. An added bonus was the lovely new swimming pool in Diss, highly recommended.

Norbank Cottage is very well equipped and the garden is beautiful.

Excellent loved the cottage it had everything you need.

Gorgeous garden you can sit outside of your door for a glass of wine in the evenings. The cottage was clean bedding and towels provided were fresh and clean. The owners were very accommodating and lovely people. We received cookies and milk waiting for us when we arrived we will definitely be going back 5*

We enjoyed our stay at Norbank Cottage, Bressingham, between 22 October and 1 November 2024.

Although small - but almost ideal for an "elderly couple" like us - the cottage was very well equipped and easy to maintain. The only (slight) downside, and no fault of the owners, was the "Bungalow Knees" we have developed during the past 20 years of ground floor living, making the stairs to the mezzanine sleeping area a bit of a trial. However, we managed OK! As for the owners - Terry and Ann Betts - they were kind, helpful and very friendly, without being the least bit intrusive. The visit of their cleaner - Amy - at the mid-point of our stay - to change towels, bed linen, etc, was very much appreciated. Amy was most friendly and helpful, too! The property's Gardens were perfect for a short stroll - even in October - and will, no doubt, be outstanding during the summer months. An indicator of the friendliness of Terry and Ann, was their gift of a bottle of "Bubbly" on the "significant anniversary" during our stay - a most kind and unexpected present. Thank You, Terry, Ann and Amy, for making our stay so memorable. Kindest regards, Paul and Margaret.

We arrived at the property and were amazed at the fantastic surroundings.

The welcome we received from the owners was second to none. The property is in a perfect location for exploring Norfolk, and surrounding areas. We experienced fabulous sunsets over the beautiful gardens whilst enjoying a nice glass of wine. Terry and Ann were perfect hosts and made us feel at home even though we were only there for a short visit. So impressed we will be back next year.

If it was possible to give 11 out of 10 we would !

We were a bit unsure about the low roof height comment as on a previous holiday a small headroom meant hardly any at all but it was perfectly fine once we had seen it.

The cottage was very clean and spacious enough for us for the week we were staying and we would recommend it to anyone else who might be thinking about the place. I will though make the comment that the owners have cat's on the premises and they have a way of sneaking in when you are not looking and anyone with an allergic reaction to cats will have to make there own decisions obviously, we didn't know about this until we arrived at the cottage and fortunately we are ok with cats.

Had a fantastic holiday at Norbank Cottage, first time in that part of the country and will be back again.

Ideal for a restful week and a good centre for visiting local tourist attractions. Hosts very friendly and helpful.

It was a very quiet and relaxing holiday.

The property was lovely especially the welcome cream tea! It was an ideal spot to explore the surrounding area. It is somewhere I would definitely come back to.

I can't wait to stay here again, the communication from the owners, location and setting of the place is great.

The cottage is just as it is described and the pictures are very accurate. The setting is very quiet and the local ducks, cats and deer are a treat. The surrounding area is very quiet and lovely for walks and cycling. There is a supermarket only a few miles away to stock up on. The beds and chairs are comfy and the kitchen is very well stocked with utensils and equipment and theres nothing I was missing.

Lovely comfortable cottage thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This cottage is absolutely smashing, one of the best accommodation we have stayed in.

Just a couple of things to note, the stairs may be a problem for less able people & could do with a shower caddy. But that being said, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend & use again. Thank you to Terry & Ann

Really nice cottage, everything provided, linen, towels etc and a really well stocked kitchen with everything you would need.

Tea coffee sugar and complimentary scones with cream/jam! That was a nice surprise. Location is very nice and peaceful, will re-visit again in the future and would high recommend.

We loved Norbank, everything that we could possibly need was supplied.

The cottage itself was great, beautifully furnished to a high specification, clean and in a peaceful setting. Ann and Terry were on site and happy to deal with any queries and requests. The surrounding areas are picturesque, very interesting and well worth a visit. All in all a great break that certainly recharged the batteries. Thank you.

Nonbank cottage is an excellent,well equipped bijou place for a couple who want a restful break.

The owners are on site and are welcoming and helpful without being intrusive.

Norbank Cottage is a compact property.

Very clean and well maintained. Everything you could want from a holiday let. Terry and Ann, the owners are lovely people who made us feel at home. We enjoyed our holiday and were sad to leave.

Cottage was in a good location for visiting multiple places.

The cottage itself was comfortable with good beds, low ceilings, character, and a view from the West-facing veranda that was lovely for watching the sun set over the large garden and the fields (and avoiding the rain). I'd certainly recommend this place and return.

Hosts, Ann and Terry live on site and are very hospitable.

The attractiveness of Norbank cottage as a holiday destination has everything to do with the hosts Terry and Ann.

They thought of pretty well everything when equipping the cottage and while you are staying there they manage to find the perfect balance between privacy and helpfulness.. The landscape and gardens are also special with a strong link to the calm of the countryside.

There is something you should be aware of.

The only negative experience of our trip was the complete frustration of being unable to enter In contact with your customer service. Day after day left hanging on for 10 or 20 minutes before just giving up.We need to talk to someone about having had to cut short our holiday after just asking for an extension. Yesterday I completed your satisfaction survey and asked for someone from Sykes to contact me. I do not know if you got the survey or the message. Probably not as you have repeated the survey request today. So, Norbank Cottage is great, but sadly Sykes admin is not.

Easy to contact the owners, easy to arrange to pick up the key. The cottage could not be surrounded by a more beautiful garden the family are lovely,real, hardworking, generous people. We could not have been made to feel more welcome. Everything that might be needed was there.

Charming cottage with excellent facilities in a delightful setting.

as soon as we got there we knew we would want to go back, this was a perfect little retreat for us with lots to see and explore locally - sadly illness meant we had to cut short our stay, so we will definitely go back as we had barely started exploring

The heating is radiators they were fine just a bit warm in upstairs were the beds were.

We had to make sure we switched them off about 2 hours before we went to bed. Everything else was fine the kitchen was well equipped. The only thing we found a bit disconcerting was the amount of Ladybirds in the accommodation.

The cottage was very nice, but the owners were even nicer.

They were so helpful and friendly that we can recommend this cottage to everybody. The surrounded area is wonderful, you can walk miles in fens and heath parks, visit old churches and beautiful villages with interesting pubs..

A cosy well-appointed cottage.

Fabulous owners – Terry and Ann, friendly. Beautiful gardens to sit in. The cottage is close to Bressingham Gardens and Steam Museum. Well worth a visit. An ideal base to discover Norfolk and Suffolk including Southwold, Thetford Forest etc.

We didn't meet the owners because they were on holiday for the duration of our stay but they gave us a courtesy call prior to our arrival to let us know they were away and to let us know arrangements should there be any problems or if we needed anything.

As it was, there were no problems and we didn't need anything because the owners had clearly made arrangements for the cottage to be spotlessly clean and with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, had even left us scones, cream and jam. We really enjoyed our week and would certainly recommend / return ourselves, my "extra tall" husband learned exactly how to duck and dive the low beams by the second day but for me of "average height" I didn't hit my head once :-)

Very satisfactory cottage, had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.

Weather wasn't brilliant but that did not stop us touring around the country side.

At the end of each day we looked forward to getting back to our cosy cottage.

Well equipped but need to mind your head in the bedroom area if a tall person.

What a beautiful cosey home, I can honestly say the best anniversary holiday we have been on, so much to do in the area.

Mr and Mrs Better were so kind and welcoming even when we turned up too early! Would absolutely go again, the little cottage had everything we needed, was really warm for the dead of winter, and the facilities (cooking, shower etc) were top quality. Everything you needed was provided in the cottage from welcoming drink and biscuit to several toilet rolls in the loo.

The owners were friendly and welcoming but not intrusive , the cottage was spotless would definitely recommend this cottage .

I am pretty agile for an 82 year old, but some may find the staircase a bit difficult!

I spent my youth climbing trees and going caving all over the place so I had no problems with the rather narrow staircase up to the bedroom. The hot water was devilishly hot, but that's what I like! The cottage was wonderfully quiet and the kitchen just as a bachelor likes it to be and all the fixtures and fittings worked.. The place is small, I was on my own, but two could find it quite roomy enough.
