Beautiful bungalow and location, everything you need for a lovely holiday.

Located in a very rural setting it is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday.

The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. We hope to return again as soon many previous visitors appear to do,which says it all.

The cottage is spacious, light and airy with a well equipped kitchen, very comfortable king bed and a great TV set.

The garden is beautiful and well maintained. Plenty of parking space. Chris, the owner is a gentleman.

A perfect getaway for anyone who is looking for peace and tranquility.

This will have been our 4th visit. Lowbrook is surrounded by beautiful gardens, and countryside, a wildlife lovers dream. The holiday cottage is very comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Places of interest including historic Town, Cities and the coast are easily accessible. The owner is close by and at hand if need be.

We are very much a 'get on with it' family and our host Chris was excellent and allowed us to do it our way. Good location for all of Norfolks attractions.

True home from home, with all of the creature comforts. Stunning location.

This was our 4th stay at Lowbrook Cottage, it's one of the nicest places we've stayed at, in a very peaceful spot, comfortable, clean and cosy.

The bed is very comfortable and with the newly installed blackout blinds you can be sure of an undisturbed nights sleep. The owner is very welcoming and there were delicious freshly baked scones waiting on the kitchen table when we arrived.

We had a 3 night break over new year, it gave us time to really relax.

The accommodation was ideal for a winter escape set in lovely grounds. Mince pies on arrival and subtle Christmas decorations. We would definitely return in the summer months.

Arriving two days after Christmas, we were welcomed with Mince pies, twinkling lights and a pretty Christmas tree.

The cottage was spotlessly clean, smelt lovely and was very cosy. It's very well equipped and the large garden was perfect to walk our little dog round. Hopefully our first visit won't be our last.

5th year if returning to Lowbrook Cottage.

Chris is a great host, and always makes us feel welcome. There were scones waiting for us when we arrived, which was a lovely surprise and very enjoyable. The cottage is cosy and comfortable, and the fire was very welcoming on the colder evenings. We always feel at home here and love the peace and quiet of the location. Would definitely recommend the cottage if you want a peaceful break away from it all.

IT WAS LIKE HOME FROM HOME,PIECE AND QUIET,AS SOON AS WE WALKE IN WE KNEW WE WOULD LOVE,SO CLEAN AND FRESH SMELLING,HEATING WAS ON ASWELL,WAS OCTOBER,CHRIS LEFT SOME GOODIES FOR US SO FIRST THING WE DID WAS HAVE A CUPPA.

We miss it already! It is beautiful and the most perfect place for a relaxing time. Chris makes sure everything is as perfect as possible and it is obvious he really cares about his guests. Hopefully be back again soon. Thanks Chris.

2nd visit as enjoyable as the first, didn't want to leave.

Peaceful, comfortable, clean, well equipped. Good parking. Lovely villages to walk to e.g. The Pulhams. with pubs and couple of lovely cafes. Small airship museum/cafe Pulham St Mary. Owner very pleasant but respectful of privacy. Wherever we went in the area people were very friendly.

Really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable property, possibly the quietest place I have ever slept at!

The bed was very comfy and even on the few rainy days we had it was just so nice to sit in the very spacious front room and just chill out and look out over the open fields and watch a little T,V there is a lovely nature reserve walk just down along Lonely road just turn Left out of the drive .Plenty to see and plenty to do as you are lucky enough to be a stones throw from Suffolk boarder .Check out the 4 horse Shoes for Sunday Lunch and evening meals .And a big thank you to Chris the owner a lovey guy and Chris we will defo see you again a true British Gentleman and Lyn the cleaner spot on girl you do a cracking job

Lowbrook cottage is a well equipped comfortable cottage in a delightfully peaceful setting.

It has everything you need for an enjoyable stay and Chris the owner is a gentleman. He came and introduced himself to us on arrival but left us alone for the rest of the trip. After reassuring us that he was on hand if needed. The garden is beautifully laid out and adds to the general appeal of this idyllic cottage. We will definitely book another stay at Lowbrook cottage in the very near future.

Just got hone from a week at Lowbrook Cottage Dicklebrough, couldn't have been happier with the property in all aspects, a beautiful well appointed country cottage, it was like living a dream for the week, we shall be back and soon.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Lowbrook cottage and would return again given the opportunity.

Our 2nd visit to Lowbrook Cottage and it will remain our cottage of choice for our base when Geocaching in this area.

This spacious cottage, in a generous garden setting, is in a peaceful rural location but within easy drives to local villages, towns and cities. It is well prepared, has quality bedding and towels, is warm and comfortable and we do not hesitate to recommend.

We stayed 3 nights here and the cottage met most of our needs.

However, on asking if we could walk our dog in the adjacent grassed field, we were told No but given no explanation. It would have helped to know why. The owner very quickly remedied lack of a dish cloth, thank you. The carpets needed cleaning and in the hall replacing, also the laminate in the bathroom was damaged, and a few mixing/microwave bowls would have helped other than the numerous small mugs!. Something else odd was the lack of a washing machine, but pegs and a washing line were provided. The surroundings are lovely and we found Dickleburgh Moor very nearby and recommend for wildlife and walks.

This is our 4th year coming to the cottage and it's just as great as the first time. Peaceful, quiet surroundings and lots of places to go to that are a drive away. Chris, as always, is a fantastic host, making sure everything is just right for staying there. Now to check out next year's term dates so we can book up again.

Very pleased with the accommodation- everything really clean and tidy.

The facilities were all that we required: the downside was that we had to leave early as my wife had a medical problem which of course was nothing to do with the property. One of the better cottages that we have stayed in over the years.

We very much enjoyed our stay in a lovely comfortable & clean cottage with excellent facilities.

Although the location is quiet it suited us very well being able to see family in both Norfolk & Suffolk. Our 2 small dogs very much enjoyed the use of the garden & the walks nearby.

What a lovely cottage, just a shame we only had two nights, Chris had left us a loaf, butter, jam and milk, which was such a lovely thing to do, all amenities you needed, The Old Ram pub just up the road which was excellent.

It was very cold in early January but Lowbrook Cottage was really warm and cozy. Very comfortable sofas and beds and sky tv an asset. There was everything we needed. Thank you Chris for having us. We would definitely like to return. Vicky, Mum and our cavalier dog

With the additional heating this was a warm and comfortable cottage.

The firm mattress was good for us and we slept well. The luxury of a bath after long days walking the geocaching circuits was a treat. Everything worked well and the WiFi was excellent. The location is exceptionally peaceful and with no light pollution the night skies are amazing. We would certainly consider a return visit.

Our second stay at Lowbrook Cottage, it’s a very comfortable and cosy place to stay in a wonderfully peaceful spot.

This was our 3rd or 4th stay at this property.

The location is excellent for covering all of Norfolk. It’s very peaceful and pretty. We will undoubtedly come back again. We love Norfolk and we love this property. The only thing that would make it better would be perhaps a super king size bed for the main bedroom. It’s plenty big enough. Our dog also loves it here and feels comfortable which is important for us. Chris is a lovely owner who will always help you out if you need it.

Had a great stay at Lowbrook Cottage in January 2023.

Premises is well maintained with access to the front garden and rear courtyard. Was cosy and warm during a cold spell as well. Has great view from the front door as well as being in a quiet location. The cottage has all the facilities in place that you would need and it's a short car journey to the local pubs and village store nearby. Diss is only a few minutes further on by car. We left feeling refreshed and would return and have already recommended to family and friends. Many thanks to Chris.

Absolutely lovely, comfortable, well-furnished cottage, located is a quiet, rural area.

Perfect for a peaceful break away from the stresses and strains of an otherwise busy life. Also pet friendly, which was ideal for us as we were between house moves with our two kitties. And our generous host couldn’t have been more accommodating!

Excellent stay in Lowbrook Cottage again.

This is the second year we have used Sykes and stayed in the same place. The cottage is cosy, comfy and in a lovely peaceful location, the only noises being the pheasants in the fields behind us. Everything we need is there and it is located in a village with a good convenience store, which has a good selection of items in it. Will be booking up again for next year.

This holiday cottage just suited all of us being country people we liked the quite setting bird life and other animals.

The access to the property never been able to park outside the door to unload and get my elderly parents straight inside good for when it rains, layout inside very good nice and cosy rooms. Considering the time of year it was rarely ever used the electric fire, our host Chris put his own personal touch to our stay just keep up what you are doing. We all have been left recharged and one final thing a lot of ownership’s could learn a thing or two how to run a holiday home like this brilliant.

We had a very pleasant stay at this lovely cottage near Diss.

Everything was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Having chosen this location due to it being in a dark sky area we were not disappointed and lucky enough to see the Milky Way every night while we sat outside in the yard. Overall, a great place to stay and enjoy Norfolk.

It was clean, cosy and very comfortable with the added peacefulness. Just what we needed. We could not fault it in anyway. It deserves more than a 5 star rating for everything.

The wildlife around has been beautifully relaxing to watch and hear every morning!! It’s so very peaceful and quiet! The cottage was perfect for our family of 4! Everything was wonderfully clean, and cozy! Felt like a home away from home. Everything you need is nearby! “Goodies” is wonderful for Breakfast which is 5 min drive down the road. I highly recommend staying here and we will be back in the future. Thanks again!!

We loved the cottage, just wished the beds had been more comfortable.

The big bed was comfy but only a king size, and so deep it was difficult to get out of. I suffer with degenerative arthritis and a bed so high and deep does not suit. So as not to spend The night trying to turn over, and disturb my husband, I slept in one of the single beds, which have very inferior mattresses. Ok for the odd night but not long term. I wish Sykes would ask their clients to be more specific about bed sizes. A double I take to be 4ft 6 inches, a king size is 5 ft, and a super king which we prefer and have at home is 6 ft. To have this clearly stated would save a lot of time whilst choosing a property, and make for more comfortable nights.

If you look for peaceful & quiet surroundings, this is the place to be. A pity that the shower-in-bath was less comfortable, but in all is this a great property!

Unfortunately the shower was difficult for 3 mature ladies, both to get into it and to turn the tap arrangement on and off, particularly with wet hands.

There was nowhere indoors to put the wet towels afterwards Freestanding towel rails in the 2 bedrooms would be a beneficial addition. Also, there was no full length mirrors. Still a great place for a peaceful & relaxing holiday, with a well equipped kitchen.

Over the years we have stayed in very many holiday properties and Lowbrook Cottage is very possibly the very best we have holidayed in.

The property was extremely peaceful, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. As other reviewers have said, a lot of holiday cottage owners could learn a lot from Chris, the proprieter of Lowbrook Cottage, in terms of how to run a holiday home. It is very likely that we will book again.

We loved the peaceful setting, the cottage was a very comfortable place to be.

The owner was very pleasant and friendly on the occasions that we spoke to him. The cottage was very well situated for the places that we wanted to visit in East Anglia (Minsmere, The Sainsbury Centre, Bressington Gardens, Redgrave & Lopham fen + there were some nice walks in the area).

The overall experience was satisfactory, quiet and peaceful in a lovely location.

Everything about the property was easy, warm and well equipped. We would have no hesitation revisiting Lowbrook as we were well looked after and catered for by Chris, including a welcome fresh loaf and pots of jam on arrival. Thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting a break in Norfolk.

Very well equipped. Chris the owner was extremely helpful. There was a few issues but as soon as we mentioned them to Chris they were rectified. Eg: the tap in the kitchen was leaking I told Chris and within 1hour he had got it sorted out. Would highly recommend this cottage. Looking forward to going back.

Quiet location with abundant wildlife viewed from the cottage windows . Such a bonus being able to park easily just outside the door. Patio is ideal for relaxing on a sunny day. We liked visiting many different locations.

You do have to get in the car to go anywhere …no practical walking routes. Bedrooms could do with blackout blinds and curtains. Overall a super house to stay in.

Well appointed, comfortable, had everything we needed. Beautiful setting. Only slight niggle was that curtains were a bit thin and let in the light at dawn. Maybe the landlord could think about adding lined curtains in the future. :)

This was probably one of the best cottages we have stayed in over many years of travelling.

It was well equipped, very clean and situated in a lovely quiet location which was perfect for a relaxing holiday but with easy access to many places of interest in Norfolk and Suffolk. Lowbrook Cottage is in a delightful location with the owners living close by if needed.

It is out in the countryside with a lovely lawn area near the entrance to the property and which led into an orchard. The local grocery shop in Dickleburgh sold most food & drink requirements as well at newspapers, magazines etc. Some items were a little expensive but you expect to pay more for the convenience of having a shop not too far away. The cottage itself was well accommodated - towels lovely and fluffy, nice warm bathroom and plenty of implements/crockery etc in the kitchen, comfy settees in the lounge with a selection of books to read. We did need to disturb Vanessa & Chris early one morning as the power had tripped off due to a heavy rain storm. Fortunately the trip switch was in their property and was quickly remedied so we soon had the kettle on for our morning cuppa. Bressingham is a good place to visit with a garden centre, a steam museum (featuring a Dad's Army section) and lovely gardens. Also Diss is picturesque and close by with a nice shopping area. It did not take long to drive to the broads area although it was quite busy there in September. We would certainly stay there again if going to that part of the country. Thank you.

cottage is well situated in a very pretty, quiet and rural area.

I have to leave a review which I believe to be fair and factual.

You may think it picky, but it affected our holiday enjoyment and had we known some of these details, we wouldn't have booked. 1. When we let ourselves into the cottage there was a lot of cobwebs with spiders on the ceiling and the walls, some alive, some dead. The cobwebs were quite thick and dusty so looked like they’ve been there a long time even though the guestbook states somebody had stayed here just before us. These guests were obviously not put off. Whilst spiders may not affect a lot of people, I’m terrified of them, so it took a long time for me to be relaxed (once my friend had removed them all). Having a couple of bug houses on the patio garden didn’t help either as spiders the size of my fist came out to visit at night. 2. I have to mention the amount of wasps in the daytime too. We couldn’t have the patio doors open because there was so many of them. Fly screens on the doors would have been advantageous. 3. Be aware of the small, curved drive that is difficult to tackle in big cars. It has a small foot-high wall each side with sharp stones sticking out. On day 4 we had to call RAC out because as we leaving the drive in our Ford Galaxy, pffffssssssshhhhhhh. The stones on the small drive wall bust one of our back tyres open. A whole day wasted because the day was spent waiting for RAC to bring a spare tyre and then spent the afternoon in Kwik-Fit waiting for them to fit a new tyre. 4. The WiFi did not work for the first 3 days due to bad weather (a little bit of rain). 5. The lights went off once also due to light rain, so the owners had to reset them and put them back on. 6. The water went off once due to a repair on a main. It would have been nice to have been notified about this. 7. The double bed is very squeaky so interrupted a good nights sleep. 8. The fridge makes a lot of peculiar noises especially at night. One minute it sounds like a cow mooing from afar, the next minute it sounds like an aeroplane taking off. In the daytime this didn't bother us much, but at night time it was extremely annoying. 9. The dishwasher was not used at all. A washing machine would have been more beneficial especially as there’s a rotary washing line in the garden. Now onto the good points. 1. The furniture was very comfortable and clean. 2. The kitchen is homely with plenty of crockery. No problems at all with hot water or heating. 3. The cottage is in an ideal place if you like to be tucked away somewhere private and quiet and like walking. 4. It has beautiful scenery surrounding this area and it was lovely to see rabbits hopping about and pheasants strolling by. 5. I concur with previous reviews about The Little Chippy just down the road. The food was amazing and the owners very friendly. 6. There are some nice pubs close by and a little further out. 7. The TV has all of the sky channels.

Nice clean cottage

Hi, The cottage was very nice and in a great area.

the lawn area was perfect for our German Shepherd to run and play on. However we could have done with a broom and hover as our dog moults heavily. An Iron would have been useful.

The only thing i would like to say is we never see the owner's of the cottage who lived next door.

Every property we have stayed in over the years the owners have come to see if everything is ok, it is only a minor thing and it did not stop us enjoying this lovely cottage. I would suggest to anyone staying there to go to Norwich castle and cathedral, particularly if it rains. Try park and ride, it's so easy.

The cottage is set in beautiful surroundings, so peaceful.

A great location for touring around the Norfolk area. The host is very helpful and approachable. We had a lovely week and was blessed waking up to the most spectacular glowing red sunrise. The garden is kept very well and what an experience to be cooking in the kitchen watching the pheasants strolling around at their leisure. A great place to relax and re-energise.

The cottage was fabulous and in a lovely quiet area but still not too far from places to visit.

The owners were very friendly and amenable. The cottage was very spacious more so than the photos show and there was plenty of room for our large dog. We would return in a heartbeat. Thanks for a great holiday.
