Description

Positioned on the owner's grounds, in the rural village of Gissing, is The Hen House.

The grounds consist of five and half acres of formal gardens along with orchards and various wooded areas.

There are two Shetland ponies and some chickens along with ducks on the pond.

There is an abundance of wild birds that can be seen including Barn Owls and buzzards.

Deer will also be seen walking around the grounds.

This brick-built property has been beautifully renovated, yet retains much of its character, with its exposed timbers and orange brickwork.

Step in through the main door, which leads through to a beautifully presented open-plan living room.

Get cosy with your loved one in front of the TV or simply admire the character features bringing the cottage to life.

There is a well-equipped kitchen offering a chic set of units for cooking your partner a romantic meal.

Perch yourselves at the dining table and exchange stories from your day over a delicious bottle of wine.

Rest your head on the beautiful king-size bed before waking up to a rejuvenating shower in the fresh en-suite.

Parking is outside the property and there is a patio area to sit and enjoy a morning coffee with a read of the newspaper.

The market town of Diss offers an array of shops, pubs and tea rooms, centred on a busy market place and its beautiful 13th century church.

There is an 18-hole golf course and walks along the Boudica Way, full of twists and turns through undulating countryside.

You are sure to love this property, a perfect base for exploring East Anglia and this lovely countryside, boasting a number of local walking and cycling routes.

Set in a countryside location, it is ideal for those wishing to be able to walk to a rural pub for a bite to eat or a drink at the end of the day to chat about your adventures.

It offers avid walkers and cyclists the chance to get out and about, either on the Norfolk Broads, the stunning east coastline and through the vibrant city centre of Norwich.

Don't forget to pay a visit to the lovely city of Norwich, with its cathedral, castle featuring a museum and art gallery, as well as Whitlingham Country Park.

A comfortable base for exploring the lovely region of East Anglia.

A very comfortable place to stay with lovely, generous hosts.

Beautiful setting and very handy for exploring Norfolk and Suffolk. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Hen House.

The cottage was clean and had all we needed for our stay.

A nice surprise was the bacon sausages and eggs etc for our first breakfast, thank you. A shared patio area was sheltered and secluded if a little neglected, we enjoyed watching the red kites overhead whilst enjoying a drink. The bed had the most comfortable mattress we have slept in.
