“Nicely situated in a village with two pubs and a convenient Co-op store within a few footsteps.”

Cottage is very cosy and has lovely garden. Very clean and all that was necessary was supplied and in good working order. WiFi very good. The gift of Prosecco, chocolate and fudge from owners was a nice touch. One or two things to be aware of however. The only bathroom is downstairs and, although large and pleasant, has no tub: only a shower. The second bedroom is pretty small although a double. Thirdly there is no washing machine. Thank you for your feedback, we will ensure the knives are sharpened for the next guests, unfortunately we do not have room for both a dishwasher and a washing machine so we opted for the former due to health and cleanliness reasons, should you have needed to wash clothes during your stay we could have arranged a laundry service for you. The absence of a bath is in the description of the cottage and has never been an issue. We always appreciate feedback and hope you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

About the location

SNETTISHAM

Heacham 3 miles; Royal Sandringham 4 miles; Hunstanton 5 miles.

Snettisham is a traditional Norfolk village, with many of its houses built from the local iron-rich carr stone, which has an attractive golden-brown colouring. Due to this, the buildings are known locally as “gingerbread houses”. Village amenities include general stores, a Post Office, 2 inns, a bistro and a regular bus service to the bustling, family-friendly seaside resort of Hunstanton and historic King’s Lynn. The church of St Mary sits alone on top of the hill and is certainly worthy of a look inside at the exquisitely decorated tracery flowers on the west window. There is an RSPB bird sanctuary close to the beach, which is three miles away, and the ancient Peddars Way public footpath runs near to the village. Park Farm is on the edge of the village, and is a working farm with year-round activities for all the family, including a 45-minute “deer safari” and the chance to feed some of the animals. The Royal Estate of Sandringham, whose impressive house, gardens and church are open to the public, is nearby, as are the plant farm, tea rooms and gift shop at Norfolk Lavender, England's premier lavender farm.
